EVERETT, WA – A 19-year-old has been accused of drowning his 6-year-old nephew in a bathtub before dumping his body in a dumpster.

According to reports, 19-year-old Andrew Henckel had been staying with his sister and her boyfriend for about a week when he was asked to babysit his sister’s autistic son, 6-year-old Dayvid Pakko.

When the boyfriend returned home after running errands he found Pakko was not inside the apartment. Henckel said he had fallen asleep on the couch and had no idea where Pakko may have wandered of to.

Henckel accompanied the boyfriend in searching for Pakko around the apartment complex for about 30 minutes before deciding to call police.

When investigators arrived on the scene and began searching for Pakko, they would find the missing boy’s body in a dumpster located 30 feet from the his apartment. This was also when police became very interested in Henckel.

Detectives were already focused on him since he was the last person to see Pakko alive, but he did something curious at the exact moment Pakko’s dead body was found in the dumpster.…

AUBURN, AL – A 3-year-old girl drowned Saturday afternoon after she fell into an ice cream shop’s grease pit.

On Saturday, 3-year-old Sadie Andrews was reported missing as her family were getting ice cream at Bruster’s Ice Cream shop.

She was last seen playing with her five siblings in a grassy area near the shop that contains picnic tables.

Five to 10 minutes later, someone figured out the girl had fallen into the shop’s six-foot-deep, in-ground grease pit.

CPR was performed on the scene after she was pulled out, but she would be pronounced dead of accidental drowning after being rushed to the hospital.

Surveillance footage would show that as Sadie was playing, she fell through the grease trap’s cover, which was not locked or secured, which closed behind her. Sadie’s family says that the lid was wooden and had rotted through.

Police do not feel foul play was involved and are classifying the girl’s death a tragic accident.

“Her name means ‘God’s thoughtful princess,'” her mother said. “And she really was that — always expressing gratefulness and love for God and other people.…

LAKE COUNTY, FL – Police have accused a Florida man of drowning his 17-month-old daughter in a bathtub.

According to reports, Ocala police received a call Monday morning from the child’s mother who said that her husband had called her at work claiming to have drowned their daughter.

When police arrived at the home they had to force their way inside. They did not find the woman’s husband, 38-year-old Jeremy Main, inside the home but did find the couple’s daughter dead in a bathtub.

Main would end up turning himself in at a police substation. He was reportedly covered in blood from trying to harm himself in some way. Main was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

According to the arrest affidavit, Main killed his baby because his wife was divorcing him. He also reportedly told deputies that he has “ruined his life”.

“For someone to be able to do something like that is just mind-boggling,” said Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Fred Jones. “Twenty years in this job, and it’s hard to believe a person can lose their humanity and do something like this.”

Two teen children also live in the home, but were at school at the time of the incident.…

VIERA, FL – An elderly man died after hitting a fire hydrant and then getting sucked into a hole made by the rushing water.

The freak accident happened on Wednesday after 89-year-old Robert Dreyer accidentally hit a fire hydrant on the side of the road.

Police say the collision was minor, but the impact caused water to spew from the hydrant.

Witnesses said Dreyer appeared unhurt when he got out of his car, but the ground had given way because of the rushing water and he dropped straight down into a 5-foot-deep, watery grave.

“There was a divot in the space where the fire hydrant used to be and right adjacent to his driver’s door,” said Channing Taylor with the Florida Highway Patrol. “He fell into that divot”

Witnesses pulled Dreyer out of the water moments later, but he would be pronounced dead after being transported to Viera Hospital. It was his 89th birthday.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the incident.

gerardo-ordazHEALDSBURG, CA – Police have arrested a man after they say he drowned his 4-year-old daughter in a baptismal pool at a Catholic church.

At around 8:30 p.m. Sunday night, police found 42-year-old Gerardo Ordaz naked and yelling for help in the back lot of the Healdsburg Police Department.

Police found Ordaz naked and carrying his clothed, unresponsive daughter while accompanied by his partially clothed, 9-year-old son.

Medical responders arrived on the scene and attempted CPR on the girl, but she would be pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.

Healdsburg Police Chief Kevin Burke said that based on comments from Ordaz and his son, the girl’s death was not accidental and occurred in the foot-deep water of the St. John’s Catholic Church baptismal pool.

The church leaves its doors open late on Sunday and Burke said they were the only ones there at that time. No motive has been given, but I’m guessing that rascally Jesus fellow told him to do it.

Church officials have declined to comment about the case aside from releasing this brief statement: “Sunday night there was tragedy in the church; a little girl lost her life,” said pastor Sean Rodgers.…

puddle-of-mudCOLUMBIA, SC – The family of David Outlaw want answers after the 66-year-old drowned in a puddle at his nursing home after being left alone outside in his wheelchair during the height of Hurricane Matthew.

According to Richard Outlaw, his brother was in his wheelchair smoking a cigarette in the facility’s courtyard. A nurse told police that he refused to come in so she left him out there to smoke.

When she returned a few minutes later, she found him pinned beneath his electric wheelchair in a puddle of water. Outlaw was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy would later confirm the man had drowned.

“My brother survived Vietnam, car crashes and two strokes,” said Richard Outlaw. “Just to die in a puddle of water?”

Richard says someone should have at least kept a close eye on his brother if he wouldn’t come inside. His wife echoed her brother-in-law.

“How negligent is it to just leave him outside in a hurricane by himself?” said his wife, Karyl Outlaw.…

swimming poolMORELIA, MEXICO – The man captured on camera drowning his 3-year-old stepdaughter by repeatedly throwing her into a hotel swimming pool has been jailed for 100 years.

For those of you who missed the original story last year, Jose David N. was staying with a woman and her daughter at a popular hotel last August when he took the girl to the pool after her mother fell asleep.

As you can see for yourself in the video below, Jose repeatedly throws the girl in the pool even though he knows she cannot swim. Sometimes he just drops her in the water, while other times he haphazardly slings her out into the middle of the pool.

Each time he does this, he nonchalantly walks around the edge of the pool or swims around her as she frantically tries to keep her head above water. With each toss, her attempts at swimming become weaker and weaker.

The video also shows Jose holding the girl under water for significant periods of time while other people in the pool nearby do nothing. …

Robert HerweyerSAUGATUCK, MI – Authorities say a medical episode or fumes may have contributed to the death of 23-year-old Robert Herweyer who drowned in a vat of molasses last week.

On July 26, Herweyer and a co-worker were pumping molasses out of a 12-foot plastic vat at the Agri-Science Technology Company.

When the molasses got to about two feet deep, Herweyer put on a safety mask and used straps attached to a forklift to climb down into the tank to adjust a valve.

According to the co-worker, when Herweyer grabbed the straps to climb back out, he didn’t move and would not respond to him asking if he was ok.

When the co-worker found he was unable to life Herweyer out of the tank with the straps, he ran to their boss’ office for help.

Their boss, David Alexander, used an electric saw to cut the tank open and pull Herweyer out of the vat and start performing CPR. But it was too late.

Reports say that Herweyer was on his back in the tank and his safety mask was barely visible.…

Lassiter called 911 afterwards and told the dispatcher what he had done, and why he did it. As you may have already guessed, it was everyone else’s fault but his own.

“I just drowned my two daughters in the lake back there ’cause CPS wanted to take them away from me,” he said. “I was dealing with some pedophilia things, OK, OK. I was dealing with some sexual desires that I was trying to get some help with, but instead they turned their back on me, the whole system, and tried to take my kids, and they took the rest of the, of the little happiness that I had.”

He then goes on to tell the dispatcher that chucking his children in a lake was a teaching aid that he hopes they will learn from.…
