FLEMING ISLAND, Florida - When Dana Whitelaw, 47, got out of the shower Tuesday morning, she found her entire family dead. Her husband, Jerry Whitelaw, 49, had shot their two children — 16-year-old son, Kevin, and 11-year-old daughter, Katy — while they slept. He then turned the gun on himself. Court records show that Dana had filed for divorce in late AugustAugust reviews after 16 years of marriage, but continued to live together during the process. Police have no records of ever having to go to their residence in the past. Kevin was a junior at St. Johns Country Day in Orange Par, Katie attended Grace Episcopal. I think what makes this particular murder-suicide is the blatant purpose behind it. Jerry wanted Dana to live after this, knowing it was the best possible way to hurt her. Kill her kids, then let her live with that fact. Absolutely horrifying in its cold-blooded callousness. Lakeland, Florida A little after 3 pm on Monday, firefighters responded to a car fire on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Tampa, Florida. They had no way of knowing that they were about to drive up on an arson, a homicide, and a suicide. Court records show that Robert Laird and his wife, Sheryl, were divorced and she was granted an injunction keeping him from having contact with her. All who had contact with Sheryl describe her as being a positive woman despite the past marital problems and despite having to share her daughter with the man she feared. None of that matters now. Robert drove to the top of that bridge, doused the car with gasoline and turned it into a torch with his dead wife in the trunk, and lept from the bridge as the firefighters worked to extinguish the flames. Brownsburg, Indiana–Joseph Warnock forced his way in to his estranged wife’s home through a patio door just before midnight on SundaySunday reviews. He entered her room, where she lay sleeping with the couple’s two children, and started stabbing her with a steak knife. His children, 12- and 8-year-old girls, woke up in the midst of the frenzied attack and hid in a closet. ATHENS, Georgia – He was also a Georgia professor who was pretty miffed at his wife. On April 25th, he left his kids in the car and shot her -along with two of her friends- to death outside of a community theater. He then dropped the kids off at a neighbor’s house claiming there had been an emergency, and disappeared. Until yesterday. Largo, Florida - During a court appointed, supervised visit with her 15-year-old son, Celeste Grace Minardi, 55, pulled two knives from her purse and stabbed him multiple times.

Minardi was married to Gulfport City Attorney Timothy Driscoll until three years ago when they divorced. The teen lives with him. Since that time, Minardi has been allowed supervised visits with her 15-year-old son. For these three years, there has been no incidents. But the other day, while a nurse who was supervising typed on a PC just 6 feet away, Minardi went batshit crazy. It was normal for Minardi to give her son gifts during these visits, and while they both sat on a couch she retrieved some items from her purse. First some cologne, then a deck of cards and then a couple of knives…a 15-inch ornamental dagger and a 12-inch drywall knife to be exact…and starting hacking at her son.

WEDDINGTON, NC - Christa Chidester,34, was going through a divorce with her husband, Mark Chidester, 52. She also suffered from fibromyalgia, severe back pain and depression. She had gotten a court order which stated “Wife and her daughter shall vacate the former marital residence no later than FridayFriday reviews, January 4, 2008, at 5 p.m.” Chidester did just that, but she left her and her 9-year-old daughter’s bodies behind. She suffocated Sarah Higgins in her bed, then apparently hung herself in the attic. She left a note detailing what she had done and what to do with her personal affairs.
