Couple Gets Jail Time After Forcing Girl, 12, To Run Outside Dressed In Diaper

ANOKA, MN - A judge sentenced a man to 120 days in jail for doling out a particularly humiliating punishment on his 12-year-old stepdaughter.
Back in May we reported on 38-year-old Stephanie Ann Broten and her boyfriend, 34-year-old Darnell Alan Landrum. In response to Broten’s 12-year-old daughter bringing home bad grades, the couple shaved her head and put her in a diaper before sending her outside in front of neighbors and classmates.
One of these neighbors ended up calling police who arrived to find a crowd of 30 to 50 people watching the poor girl crying hysterically as she tried to get back in her house after being forced to run up and down the street with a shaved head and clad in a diaper and a tank top.
Neighbors said she had been outside for at least 30 minutes and reported seeing the girl standing outside the back door begging her mother to let her in, only to have her mother stare back at her. When police questioned Broten, she told them she did not see what the problem was and that she was simply disciplining her child by embarrassing her.…

WAYNESBORO, Ga. – An 11-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to the shooting death of his father’s girlfriend last December.
The boy was 10-years-old on Dec 30 when he got angry at his father’s girlfriend, 31-year-old Jennifer Albright (pictured), because she had asked him to clean up some dirty diapers. Albright was watching the boy, his younger cousin and her 2-year-old daughter at the time.
In response to Albright’s request, he picked up a 12-gauge shotgun he had received on Christmas then shot Albright in the back as she changed her 2-year-old daughter.
The boy was charged with felony murder and gun possession, both of which he pleaded guilty to the other day. Juvenile Court Judge Willie Saunders sentenced the boy to be held in Augusta Regional Youth Detention Campus until he turns 21, the maximum sentence allowed. The boy can file yearly petitions for early release or reduction in penalty.
His mother, who does not have custody of the boy, didn’t say anything in court but outside she apologized to Albright’s family, who wanted the boy charged as an adult.…

Statesville, NC – A woman has been charged with neglect after the mentally handicapped woman she was hired to care for was left alone on a back porch for hours, and was found eating garbage.
Whitney Hill, 24, was arrested on Monday after she left a mentally disabled woman alone on her back porch for seven hours. Neighbors called police after noticing the handicapped woman had been left alone the porch and was observed eating garbage that included a dirty diaper.
Speaking of chowing down on a full diaper, anyone else remember the simple joy of being handed a bowl of leftover brownie mix when you were a kid? I still like cleaning the bowl whenever I make brownies–no need to let that weed go to waste–but it just isn’t the same.
Anyway, when police arrived at the apartment and spoke with Hill’s boyfriend, they learned Hill was spending the day with a friend. Hill was employed by M & M of the Carolinas to care for the woman, but was not authorized to take the woman from the home.…

FRIDLEY, Minn. - I have no issues with parents being strict with their kids when it comes to their grades, mostly because public schools in the US are set up so that any booger-eater can pass.
But I don’t think I would ever employ the punishment method Stephanie Ann Broten, 38, and her live-in boyfriend, 34-year-old Darnell Alan Landrum, used on the woman’s 12-year-old daughter on Monday.
In response to her not doing homework and bringing home bad grades, the couple shaved her head and placed her in a diaper before making her run around outside in front of neighbors.
After being called by one of these neighbors, police arrived to find a crowd of 30 to 50 people watching the poor girl run up and down the street in nothing but a diaper and a tank top. The girl was crying hysterically and begging to be allowed back in the house.

PEMBROKE PARK, FLA. – Police say a Pampers diaper saved the life of a toddler after an argument between her parents sent the family’s car into a lake.
According to police, 27-year-old Sandro Michel began fighting with 33-year-old Catherine Copeland while Copeland was driving at around 12:30am Tuesday. In the car with them was their 3-year-old daughter, Sariyah Michel.
Witnesses described seeing Copeland driving erratically, while Michel was hitting her, before the car veered off the road and plunged into a lake.
When police arrived they were not able to locate the couple until one officer heard Copeland screaming for help as she stood on the roof of the sinking car. As she was being pulled to shore, Copeland began screaming that her baby was still in the car.
As police frantically looked around for the little girl in the dark, murky waters, something caught one deputy’s attention.
“All of a sudden this little thing popped up like a cork,” Deputy Cazi Navarro told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “I saw it was a Pamper, and attached to the Pamper was this little girl,” he said.…

CORPUS CHRISTI - Eric Allison got himself in a bit of trouble after police found him in the possession of child porn and a nice collection of dirty diapers he liked to wear. Police say he acquired the diapers by raiding Chuck E. Cheese dumpsters.
He was facing 24 counts of child molestation and child pornography, but was out on bond until his trial on May 2. That is until a judge revoked his bond after it was reported Allison was seen at a little league field and had his girlfriend’s two young granddaughters in his home.
Both of which violated his pre-trial conditions that stated he could not be around children or be within 1,000 feet of a church, school, playground, mall, or any public place where kids are.
The girls may be checked out to make sure Allison hasn’t done anything inappropriate with them. His neighbors said there is a lot of activity at the home. “Everybody has a key to the house. They come and go,” said one neighbor with, I hope, no pun intended.…
