Knoxville, Tennessee – What’s up with all the animal cruelty stories lately? I swear to God I am not looking for them – it just seems as if all the local news outlets have a story about some jackass doing something stupid to an animal. In this case the jackass is 45-year-old Jimmy Lovell (nickname “Dog”) and what he did with a small, brown terrier. In front of a crowd of people yelling for him to stop, Lovell dragged the small dog behind his vehicle for about a block before finally stopping. He got out, grabbed the dog and placed her in his vehicle before driving off. The dog was later found abandoned on a roadside. The dog, now named Little Brown Dog, will survive but she got her ass kicked by massive road rash injuries. “Basically, (she has) skin wounds, ligament wounds, joint wounds and bone wounds on all four paws, but she also has a large wound over her sternum or over her breast bone that has been created in a similar manner,” Dr. Patricia Sura said. “Some of her bones have been sheared, so to speak, so they’re only half the width of what they once were because they’ve been ground down to that extent.” Lovell was arrested and felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals.

LOGAN, Ohio — More animal cruelty at D’D and a teen I wouldn’t mind seeing catch a bit of PETA Hell if what he is accused of doing is true. Prosecutors say 18-year-old Bryan Able killed and mutilated a stranger’s house cat, then used the animal’s organs as fishing bait. Saundra Harvey, an agent with the Humane Society, went into a bit more detail saying he “went to a home, went up on the porch, picked up a cat, took it to his pickup truck, threw it on the ground. The cat was meowing; he stomped its head, proceeded to disembowel it, took its liver and went fishing with it.” But he wasn’t done there. He later took the cat’s carcass and placed it on the hood of a student’s car parked at Hocking College. A college where Able is a law enforcement student. SYRACUSE, New York – When Joanne Cichy returned home from trick-or-treating with her kids SaturdaySaturday reviews, she could not find her kitten. It wasn’t until she checked her digital camera the next day that she realized what had happened to it. On the camera was video of her live-in boyfriend, 22-year-old Rascell Williams, using a belt to hang the kitten from a door frame. The video shows the kitten struggling before going motionless and Williams walking in and out of frame. Williams was charged with unjustifiable animal cruelty. COVINGTON, Kentucky – A boy and a girl, both 12, are charged with taking a neighbor’s pet cat and tossing the animal over a fence into the waiting jaws of another neighbor’s four Chow-mixed dogs. A the cat was torn to shreds, the pair watched. The cat’s owner is pretty upset. “The cat was like a kid to me,” said Ronny Owen. “To me, that is the beginning of a serial killer.” The owner of the dogs isn’t real happy either. “I told them, I don’t see how all of you find something like this funny. It’s not funny,” she said. “Because they were laughing in the back of the cruiser like they couldn’t care less.” The two kids are each charged with one count of first-degree animal cruelty and face up to five years in prison. AUSTIN, Texas – A woman learned that the man who was living with her, 26-year-old Cecil Leary, had been abusive to his previous girlfriend. So in a big twist on this site, she told him to get out. A month later, she returns home to find the door of her apartment ajar and in another intelligent decision rarely seen here, she didn’t go in – rather, she called police. When they went inside, they found the place had been vandalized,  spray painted walls, broken furniture and oddly enough, a dog crate being held in a bathtub full of water with a televisions sitting on top. Also, her 3-month-old pit bull puppy, Lovely, was nowhere to be found. But the fate of her dog would soon be revealed through a series of text messages she would receive from Leary.

PHILADELPHIAPhiladelphia reviews – An arrest was made in the duct taped cat incident. Seems as if someone got as fed up with a cat as I do with mine, but took things a bit to far. Where I just use a laser pen to drive my cat nuts and get it to run into furniture, James Davis, 19, completely duct taped a cat, stuck it in a grocery bag and then left it in a neighbor’s yard. “Basically he saw the animal in his yard, didn’t like the animal in the yard,” said George Bengal of the PSPCA. “I think this young fellow has a lot of issues going on in his life. He was very remorseful for what he did. Hopefully he will get the help that he needs.” The kid is going through some tough times after his father and brother were murdered. He is now facing two years in prison for animal cruelty. Dunno if prison is the best answer in this case, but the guy really, really needs some professional help before that misplaced aggression is focused towards one of us. read on for a video report and pics of the cat – now named Sticky.

Brandie & Gary Sherman- Couple charged with felony child neglect after police found 39 cats ranging from kittens to adults, a bird in a cage, two litter boxes and urine and feces covering the floors and furniture of their trailer. Police found it impossible to step inside a 17-year-old girl’s bedroom without actually stepping in the feces coating the floor.

Keisha Walters – A Danville woman was convicted of animal cruelty Monday for allowing her dog to go without medical treatment for days after the dog’s vagina had prolapsed and was hanging out of its body.

Abby Toll – Police found a small dog — its feet, snout and tail bound in clear packing tape, a plastic bag and elastic hair ties — adhered to the side of a refrigerator in a Boulder home this morning, the apparent victim of a domestic dispute between its owner and his girlfriend.

Jennifer Vanderbosch - Arrested Sunday after she used a car seat — which her son was strapped into — to try and hit both grandparents as they prevented her from leaving the home

A Prick – Police have charged a 20-year-old man with having sex on three occasions with his 9-year-old sister.  The name of the accused … who was being held at the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail … is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim, who shares the same last name and home. The siblings live in a Route 9 motel room with their parents and several other children.
