Nice, CA – A woman in California is facing a myriad of incest related charges after allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with her 16-year-old, biological son.
Mistie Atkinson, 32, has been charged with charged with incest, oral copulation of a minor, contact with a minor for a sexual offense and sending harmful matter to a minor after police found her in a hotel room with her son.
Aside from sending nude photos of herself to her son and engaging in explicit conversations that included running away together, police say they also have videos captured from the boy’s cell phone that show his mother allegedly performing oral sex on her son as well as engaging in sexual intercourse. Both were aware they are biological mother and son.
Atkinson has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently being held in the the Napa County Jail on a $200,000 bail. The boy’s father, who has sole custody, has obtained a restraining order against her.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, Ill – A teen in Illinois was arrested after she came home drunk, bit her mother and then bit the family dog several times.
Officers were responding to a home at around 4 a.m. Sunday after neighbors called to report loud screaming and pounding. There they encountered a 37-year-old woman who had been physically assaulted by her 19-year-old daughter, Analise J. Garner.
She said the pair had gotten into an argument after Garner arrived home late and drunk. This altercation resulted in Garner punching her mother in the face and biting her hand. But she wasn’t the only one in the home to be assaulted by Garner’s mouth.
Police Garner also chewed on the family’s 80-pound English bulldog. According to police, there were several visible bite marks on the dog. As a result, the dog bit back and Garner was treated at the scene for a bite wound on her arm. Because the dog bit her, standard procedure dictated animal control be notified.

HOUSTON, TX – Police have arrested a man for allegedly barricading a populated bar’s exit and then setting the bar on fire.
On the night of April 19, 30-year-old Jaime Mata and his buddy, known only as “Pepe,” were kicked out of an East Houston nightclub, the East End Bar, for fighting with staff.
Apparently they felt that if they weren’t to be allowed a full night’s fun, no one else should be either. Witnesses state that as the pair were being ejected, Mata called out the subtle warning, “This place is gonna burn!”
Mata and Co. left and fetched some gasoline from a nearby Conoco station. They then returned to the bar where, as is clearly seen in surveillance video, a shirtless man with ‘Mata’ emblazoned on his back (and tits bigger than mine) accompanied by an equally shirtless friend, closes the burglar bars over the front door of the bar. He then wedges a large piece of wood between the burglar gate and the ground, effectively jamming it closed.
Further video shows the men rounding the building and pouring the gasoline along the bar’s back wall and rear exit, then lighting it. Lucky for patrons and staff, the building was equipped with a third door and everyone was able to safely evacuate.…

Las Vegas, NV – Police in Nevada are looking for a man accused of biting off the lip of his pregnant girlfriend — something he was arrested for doing to his wife a few years ago. Note for the squeamish, the two links below are of the two women’s injuries.
Back in 2008, 27-year-old Roberto Flores was arrested after he bit the lip off his then wife, Perla Padilla. She was in the hospital when she told police Flores he “bit off her entire lower lip, exposing her teeth and gums.”
Flores was found guilty of battery with substantial bodily harm and sentenced to a maximum of 5 years in prison. He was out in seven months. In January of this year he struck again, biting off the lip of his pregnant girlfriend.
Victoria Silva says Flores was a lot like me when they first met. ”Very funny, charming, nice looking, very nice personality,” she said in an interview while wearing a face mask to hide her disfiguring injury.

Henderson, NV – A 1-year-old boy died on Saturday after being attacked by the family dog while celebrating his first birthday with family.
The unidentified boy was at his grandmother’s house with family when he crawled over to the family’s six-year old, 120-pound Mastiff/Rhodesian mix to pet it. According to the family, they have raised the dog since he was a puppy and he had never shown aggression towards anyone before.
But on this occasion the dog attacked the boy, latching his mouth around the little boy’s head and then shaking him like a chew toy. The boy’s grandmother immediately tried to pull the boy out of the dog’s mouth to no avail.
The boy’s father was upstairs when the attack occurred but was able to get the dog to let go within 20 seconds of the attack. But the damage to the boy was devastating. “The baby’s face was torn off,” he said. The boy was rushed to the hospital but would die a few hours later.
Animal control officers took the dog to an animal shelter where he will be quarantined for ten days.…

WATERTOWN, NY – On the evening of April 19, 21-year-old Jessica Baughman allegedly escalated an argument with her grandmother by removing 12 of her grandmother’s pet goldfish from their tank and sautéing them until they died. She also broke the elderly woman’s wooden wolf statue which was valued at all of twenty dollars.
Apparently, after the fish fry, there was an extended lull in the fighting because it wasn’t until about 12:30 a.m. when the police were called. It seems that the argument had resumed and grandma, 63-year-old Vera Nichols, claims that Baughman had become enraged again, pushing her until she fell onto a bed.
Baughman was arrested on charges of felony cruelty to animals, fourth degree criminal mischief and second degree harassment. Baughman was detained at the Metro-Jefferson Public safety Building and her bond was set at $2000

Texas City, Tx - On Thursday, 45-year-old Kevin Edison Smith received a life sentence after a jury took 30 minutes to convict him of the 1996 rape and strangulation of 13-year-old Krystal Jean Baker.
On March 5 1996, Baker got into a fight with her grandmother and was looking for a way to get to a friend’s house. She was last seen walking from her grandmother’s house to a convenience store where she tried to call her mother. Her body would be found dumped under a Trinity River bridge later that night. She had been raped before she was strangled to death.
Her murder remained unsolved for 14 years until a Chambers County sheriff’s officer took her dress and resubmitted it for analysis using current technology. A semen stain was found, and the resulting DNA recovered was matched to a DNA sample Smith had submitted after a minor drug arrest in 2010.
After his arrest, Smith admitted on videotape that he gave Baker a ride, then choked her with a leather strap when she “started freaking out on me.”
Smith did not take the stand during his trial, but was defiant in the courtroom regarding the evidence suggesting sexual assault.…

SOUTH FORK CANYON, UT – Two men have been arrested after admitting to setting some potentially lethal booby traps along a popular hiking trail.
The traps were discovered on April 16th by U.S. Forest Officer James Schoeffler while investigating reports of suspicious activity along Big Springs Trail. He had been checking out a popular, makeshift dead-wood shelter when he found the first trap.
“As he investigated the shelter he noticed what appeared to be a trip wire near the ground at an entrance. Upon further investigation he discovered that the trip wire led to a booby trap device which was made with a large rock, sticks sharpened at both ends, and was held together with rope,” said a statement issued by the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
If the wire had been tripped, the boulder was designed to swing at head height. Schoeffler, using his experience as a a bomb disposal technician, decided to check around for more traps.
“Typically, anywhere I’ve been, if there’s one, there’s two, if there’s three, there’s four,” Schoeffler said.

BALTIMORE, MD - Police announced they have a man in custody in connection with the murder of 16-year-old Phylicia Barnes.
In January 2010, Barnes traveled from North Carolina to visit her half-sister in Baltimore during Christmas break. She disappeared from her sister’s apartment complex on Dec 28 shortly after leaving to get something to eat. On April of 2011, her dead body was found floating in the Susquehanna River.
On Wednesday, police arrested Michael Johnson, the ex-boyfriend of Barnes’ older sister and the last person to see her alive. Johnson had been questioned several times during the investigation and was asked to provide a DNA sample. He dated Barnes’s sister for over 10 years, according to Barnes’ father.
This arrest comes on the heels of the lead investigator, Detective Daniel T. Nicholson IV, being suspended after being accused of using his position to investigate his own daughter’s disappearance last weekend. She was eventually found safe, but an investigation was launched into whether or not Nicholson improperly used departmental resources in his search.
Johnson’s lawyer, Russell Neverdon, hinted that this arrest is simply an attempt to salvage the credibility of the case following Nicholson’s suspension.…

BALTIMORE, MD - Police have arrested a total of four suspects in connection to the videotaped beating of a tourist in downtown Baltimore during the St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
For those of you living under a rock, a video was posted online last month that showed an unidentified man getting his ass handed to him by a rowdy mob. The victim, who was clearly drunk off his ass, can be seen getting surrounded by a group of people when 20-year-old Aaron Parsons reaches in and takes something out of the victim’s pocket. When the victim walks after him, Parsons cold-cocks him.
While laying on the sidewalk wondering what the hell happened to him, a mob of people descend on him delivering a volley of punches and kicks while robbing him and stripping him of his clothing. The entire time, onlookers simply laugh and film the assault.
The video of the attack quickly went viral — mostly because of the brutality of the video and the fact that the victim is white and his attackers were black.…

PORTSMOUTH, NH – We have reported on people killed by pinto beans, chocolate, meat grinders, industrial dryers, wood chippers and even paper rolling machines. Now we have a new way someone can be accidentally killed on the job.
A man working at the Redhook Ale Brewery was killed yesterday after a beer keg exploded, sending shrapnel into his head and chest. The worker was using compressed air to empty and clean kegs when the incident occurred.
“Something failed where it basically blew apart under the pressure and with such force that parts of the keg pushed into his chest and into his head,” said Asst. Fire Chief Steven Achilles.
Other employees discovered the unidentified man and called 911. Emergency workers arrived within a few minutes and found the man was weak and barely had a pulse before going into cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital but would be pronounced dead later that day.
OSHA has started investigating and others are eager to hear the results as this cleaning practice is common, and a keg exploding in this manner is practically unheard of.…

RAYNE, La. - Police have charged 26-year-old Shaqueta McDade with homicide after her four children died in a mobile home fire Saturday night.
According to 26-year-old Shaqueta McDade’s neighbors, she had a bad habit of leaving her five young children home alone. One neighbor described finding McDade’s 2-year-old wandering the streets at midnight last month and calling police.
Another neighbor said that McDade’s left her kids alone inside their mobile home last Friday night, prompting them to call police as well. The kids were removed from the home, but returned to McDade the next day. That night, McDade once again left her children home alone.
This time the end result would be far more tragic than a simple call to police and yet another opportunity for McDade to leave her kids unsupervised. That night, a fire broke out in the living room of the home and soon the entire trailer was engulfed in flames.
Neighbors tried to get McDade’s children out of the trailer, but were driven back from the intense heat. Jamari McDade, 8; Amous Mouton Jr., 7; LaShay McDade, 5, and Brian Steiner, 2, would all perish in the fire.…

A mother in Kentucky has hired a lawyer and sued the public school system her daughter attends, while also filing a restraining order against the 9-year-old boy accused of bullying her.
Joy Furman’s daughter is a fourth-grader at Foster Traditional Academy who, she claims, has been tormented by a fellow classmate for the last two years. According to Furman, her daughter has suffered harassment, threats, and an incident last year when the boy allegedly karate kicked her daughter in the chest during recess.
The school ended up placing the girl into a different classroom than the boy accused of bullying her, but this year the school put them back together in the same classroom where the bullying has reportedly began again. Because of this, Furman hired attorney Teddy Gordon to sue two teachers, the school’s principal, and the young boy’s parents. She is also seeking a 500-foot protection order against the boy.…

Denver, CO – A 30-year-old Yale-educated researcher hung himself in his cell after being arrested in March for soliciting sex with children.
An undercover agent targeted Yaron Segal due to his frequent appearance in chat rooms featuring terms like “childslavesex” and “ChildRapeTortureBrutality.” According to an arrest affidavit, investigators traced his handle “ruthlessmale” to New Haven, Connecticut, then to Cambridge, and then to Segal.
The undercover agent then engaged Segal, posed as a mother with two young girls, ages 12 and 16-years-old. Segal divulged his eagerness to have sex with the mother and children and was even willing to travel all the way to Colorado to meet them.
Segal became more and more outspoken, making phone calls and sending the “mother” links to online sex toy businesses. He expressed his craving to use a dildo on the twelve year old and sent emails with photos of vibrators he had purchased with the caption, “Those are some big c*cks.”
Segal, a postdoctoral assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, would never get to use any of those items on the children as on March 28, after flying to Grand Junction to meet the woman, he was taken into custody by Homeland Security at the Grand Junction airport.…

MICHIGAN CITY, Indiana – An 8-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy have been charged with battery for beating their female bus driver after being asked to stop throwing things on the bus.
The boys were on their way home Friday, riding in a school bus taking them back home from Springfield Elementary School, when they began tossing a lanyard back and forth between the seats.
When a 73-year-old bus monitor told them to stop playing around, one of the boys began verbally assaulting her. When she admonished him, the other boy chimed in as well, swearing at her and calling her names.
The 35-year-old bus driver, Shaunda Gilbert, eventually pulled the bus over to the side of the road in an attempt to get the boys to calm down. The 8-year-old informed her he was just going to get off the bus, but Gilbert blocked his path to the door.
This prompted the young boy to push Gilbert to the floor where he began pulling out her hair and slamming her head on the floor. After letting go of her hair, he started punching her in the upper body, assisted by the older boy who joined in with several kicks to Gilbert’s face and head.…

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Police have arrested a woman after they say she repeatedly bit another woman during a fight over a parking space.
Police say 32-year-old Sara Gillian was angry when a 22-year-old woman swooped in and stole a parking place she had been waiting for. The same article also says the fight was over the 22-year-old partially blocking a driveway.
Whatever the reason, the two got into a heated argument about it, leading to the women getting into each other’s face and pushing each other.
That is, until Gillian began using her mouth for more than talk and started biting the other woman, causing serious bite marks on her arms and chest.
“She was like, ‘Aaargh, aargh,’ and she just kept biting her,” said Trevell Council, the victim’s boyfriend. “She kept biting her and my girlfriend was like, ‘Help. Help.’”

WINTER PARK, Fla. — Two teen boys who grew up together, hung out together and got in trouble together may have died together after their burning bodies were found on the side of the road earlier this week.
Initial reports were that early Sunday morning, bicyclists on a popular bike trail called 911 after finding what looked like two bodies burning on the side of the trail.
“I can’t tell if there is two mannequins or two people burning,” the caller said.
Unfortunately, they weren’t mannequins and dental records were used to positively identify the bodies as best friends, 16-year-old Nicholas Presha and 18-year-old Jeremy Stewart, who both attended Winter Park High School.
Nicholas is also the son of Bernie Presha, an investigator for the state attorney’s office who said his son snuck out of the house at around 2 a.m. Sunday, and that he had been unable to find him when he went out looking for him.
Residents of the nearby Sun Bay Apartments complex reported hearing gunshots early that morning, and one said they heard arguing outside their door just hours before the bodies were found.…

OKLAHOMA CITY – That’s one hell of a title, right? On Tuesday, a woman was sentenced to life after she pleaded guilty to beating her dwarf roommate to death with a crystal ball and a DVD player.
Police say 40-year-old Clara Ann Blocker was homeless and had been staying with 41-year-old Erik Scott Saxton temporarily when the beating death occurred.
Initially, the 5″11 Blocker told police she would have never hurt Saxton, who stood 4″5 tall and was partially paralyzed, because he was a little person.
She would later admit that the two had been drinking when they got into an argument. Enraged, she admitted to using a crystal ball to hit Saxton in the head, then used a DVD player to beat the man. She has never revealed what the argument was about.
On Tuesday she pleaded guilty to first degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
“He was a little man with a big heart. His heart was kind and open, and he wouldn’t have warranted an attack,” said Saxton’s mother, Juanita Saxton Tischendorf.…

GREENVILLE, SC — Police have arrested a 19-year-old McDonald’s employee, accusing him of spitting in two sweet teas before serving them to a customer.
According to Greenville County deputies, a woman claimed to have gone through the McDonald’s drive-thru and ordered two sweet teas for herself and her daughter and realized they were unsweetened.
She exchanged the teas for two sweet teas but realized once again that they were unsweetened. She decided not to return them a second time and chose to sweeten them when she got home.
When she removed the lids, she saw “a large deposit of phlegm floating at the top of both drinks.”
She called police who were able to view surveillance video from within the restaurant that showed McDonald’s employee, Marvin Washington Jr., leaning his face down to the cups before filling them with tea.

PALM BAY, Fl – Police have arrested a man after they say he got angry with his wife over her attending a concert, and attacked her with a box of Cheez-It snack crackers.
Police say 37-year-old Andy Gatz got into an argument with his wife on Monday after she attended an Earth Day concert. At the time of the confrontation, Gatz was under a court-ordered injunction to avoid having any contact with his wife.
During this argument, Gatz allegedly threw a box of Cheez-Its at her face, injuring her eye.
“A small square cracker apparently went into her right eye and caused her injury,” said Yvonne Martinez, spokeswoman for the Palm Bay Police Department.
Gatz had already left the home before police arrived, but turned himself in later. He told police he tossed a single Cheez-It cracker at his wife, not the entire box. He was arrested and charged with battery and violation of an injunction.
Gatz was allowed to leave jail on community supervision, but ordered to have no further contact with his wife.…
