Then I happened across the story of a man who had his ass handed to him on a plate and my little black heart just started pitter-pattering. The battered and bruised gentleman you see to the left is Kenneth Parkerson. Kenny is a voyeur. As a matter of fact, the Broward County Sheriff’s office has arrested him twice before for video voyeurism. The third time, though…that was the fucking charm. According to police, Kenneth allegedly found his way into a couple’s home Wednesday evening and pointed his camera into the couple’s bedroom. Coral Springs, FL – I’ve been here at the Dreamin’ Demon for a couple of years now, and even before I found a home here, I had been true crime fanatic for years – devouring the most heinous of crime novels by the dozen. I’d like to say that nothing surprises me anymore, but then I sit at my computer and hit the web and realize I ain’t heard the half of it. Monday afternoon, just a little after 4:00 p.m., a 50-year-old woman was walking down the sidewalk when a young boy hit her from behind. She said she felt the boy try to pull down her sweatpants – when she turned around to confront him, he hit her again. She started to chase the boy and got hit one more time for good measure. The 12-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with attempted sexual battery. When my male kidlet was 12, girls were still infested with cooties and sex was just something he joked about with other boys on the playground.…

Coral Springs, Florida I adore any father who shows interest in their child’s life. That feeling is amplified when that father takes an active role in their children’s education. Too often we read about men who’d rather rape and beat their offspring almost to the point of thinking it’s a prerequisite. That is until we turn off our computers and take a look around us. Through the years I’ve noticed paternal involvement increase in the PTO, parent teacher conferences, even band concerts or the extra curricular events. And I especially like it when fathers take the teachers up on the offer of visiting the school or classroom anytime. That’s one way to show your children their education plays an important role in everyone’s life. So to you fathers who are active in this manner, my hat goes off to you. And to James Goldberg, even though you showed up at the school, my hat is staying on. I bet your daughter wishes you wouldn’t have made the appearance you did especially given the fact you had a *ahem* wardrobe malfunction.…

Coral Springs, FL - Timothy Christian Schlafer is one freaky teenager. Schlafer, 18, broke into a Coral Springs home early Wednesday morning and tried to abduct an eleven-year-old girl at knifepoint. Fortunately for the little girl, he woke up the child’s grandmother while carrying the girl out of the house.
It started at 2:00 Wednesday morning. Mary Cimino heard a thump and a rustling noise and woke up. She looked over, but her granddaughter, who was sharing her bedroom, wasn’t in bed. So Cimino got up to see what was going on. What she saw was Tim Schlafer carrying her eleven-year-old granddaughter out of the house.
