Christa Chidester Vacates Residence

WEDDINGTON, NC - Christa Chidester,34, was going through a divorce with her husband, Mark Chidester, 52. She also suffered from fibromyalgia, severe back pain and depression. She had gotten a court order which stated “Wife and her daughter shall vacate the former marital residence no later than FridayFriday reviews, January 4, 2008, at 5 p.m.” Chidester did just that, but she left her and her 9-year-old daughter’s bodies behind. She suffocated Sarah Higgins in her bed, then apparently hung herself in the attic. She left a note detailing what she had done and what to do with her personal affairs.
