Mendota, California - Very little information on this one, but here’s what I got. Alex Christopher Mercado, 4, was reported missing last FridayFriday reviews evening. Alex had been left in the care of an older sibling when he disappeared. About 24 hours after little Alex vanished, his body was found stuffed in the clothes dryer of a neighbor’s home. The body had been placed in the dryer after he was killed. Though police aren’t releasing the cause or manner of death, it is being reported that a 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody and charged with murder. Cleveland, OH - Arshon Baker, 5, was born behind bars and his life pretty much went downhill from there. His mother, 24-year-old Angel Glass, was serving a three year stint in prison on a felonious assault charge when she gave birth to Arshon. For five years, she beat the child. Kissimmee, FL – The guy you see before you, with the bad-ass stripey-head ‘do, is 19-year-old Jonathan Alicea. Much like many of the men we feature here on the Dreamin’ Demon, Jonathan has a girlfriend with a couple of rugrats. And, much like many of the women we feature here, that girlfriend trusted her man with the lives of her children while she went about earning a living. Pulaski, VA – I’m looking at that fabulous mugshot and all I can think is “Boo-fucking-hoo bitch, cry me a river.”  Lisa Hylton, has plenty of reason to turn on the waterworks, but I am not sure which one she is actually using.  Could one of them be the fact that her 3 year old son has died or could it be because she has been arrested for his murder? Some time Tuesday, Hylton left her drug stash out where a curious toddler could get a hold of it.  The 3 year old boy ingested some of the drug and while Hylton was aware of this, she chose not to seek medical attention for him for approximately 14 hours.  I guess when the boy stopped breathing, she thought it would be  a pretty good idea to call 911.  Unfortunately, the kid did not make it and was pronounced dead at 5:30 AM Wednesday morning.  Several hours later, Hylton was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and felony child neglect. Hookstown, PA - Wyatt Smitsky, 4, was reported missing at 7:30 FridayFriday reviews evening – he was last seen playing in the yard with his sisters, ages 3 and 6, around 6:30 that evening. It was believed that Wyatt had simply wandered away from home and got lost. Authorities were especially concerned when it was revealed that Wyatt suffered from an congenital heart defect and required medication. Authorities, family, friends, and neighbors searched for Wyatt until 4 a.m. – coming up empty. The search started anew at 11:00 SaturdaySaturday reviews morning, but was called off a little less than two hours later. Wyatt had been found – face down in a septic tank filled with solid waste. And authorities don’t believe Wyatt accidentally made his way into the tank. The lid on the tank, which is similar to a manhole cover, was way too heavy for Wyatt to maneuver on his own. Oshkosh, WI – On May 18, emergency crews were called to David Reimer’s home on a report of an unresponsive infant. When paramedics arrived, they found 2.5-month-old Logan Boyer unconscious and lacking a pulse – Logan died four days later. AutopsyAutopsy reviews revealed the cause of death was traumatic brain injury and further revealed numerous rib fractures in various stages of healing, a broken arm, and trauma to the head. Investigators believe that Logan had been an ongoing target of abuse. Targeted? W.T.F. Gary, IN - Have I mentioned lately how much I hate people? Really – I do. Especially people like Cordell Richardson. When the mother of his child mentioned that she would be moving out of state and taking the kiddo with her, Cordell came unhinged. Instead of taking it like a man, he threw a ginormous hissy fit – telling a friend that, “nobody is going to take my daughter away.” After spending a day with his daughter, 18-month-old Eboni Richardson, Cordell refused to give the child back to her mother. After much begging and pleading with the asshole to return the child, Cordell agreed to meet with his brother-in-law, Jamell Campbell, in the parking lot of a Bennigan’s restaurant Thursday evening, to transfer custody of Eboni. As Jamell approached Cordell’s vehicle, he saw a flash and heard two gunshots. Yep. One for Eboni and one for Cordell. Little Eboni was shot in the stomach and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Cordell, unfortunately, survived the bullet to his head and remains hospitalized in intensive care. And honestly, I hope he fully recovers and continues to live a long life. I’d love to think that he will be haunted by the face of his dead baby girl every single hour of every single day for the next 50-60 years. Hamilton, OH – Asuncion “Suzie” Avila-Villa is one callous, putrid, vile, waste of skin. Nature mistakenly saw fit to bless this worthless sack of shit masquerading as a human being with the ability to create a little human, and what does she do with that gift she managed to create? She allegedly abused him, neglected him, crushed his tiny skull, and threw him in the trash can. Then the wretched beast thought she could lie her way out of it. Pasadena, CA - I know there are about as many ways of parenting as there are parents, but none of them should be stuff banned by the Geneva convention. At around 6 am Tuesday, Maria Palaez, age 29, called 911 and reported that her child was not breathing. Emergency personnel arrived to find 2 year old Rene Torres dead at the scene due to asphyxiation. His parents admitted to duct taping him up as a form of punishment and also said that they had taped his mouth occasionally. Though police are keeping the details of the case quiet, they have arrested both the mother and live-in boyfriend, 32-year-old Gabriel Diaz, due to the “suspicious nature of the call” and other evidence found in the course of the investigation. Bloomington, IL – There isn’t a whole lot of information on this one, but apparently, Jeff Meece beat the shit out of his 14-month-old daughter with a baseball bat. Thursday morning, police were called to the home Jeff shared with his mother, Shirley, and nephew, Scott, on a report of a man breaking windows with a bat. When they arrived at the home, Jeff repeatedly told officers, “Someone killed my baby,” and, “I killed my baby.” He later said someone killed Erika with a bat. Jeff, who was acting aggressively toward responding officers, needed to be taken down with a couple doses of pepper spray and a good old tasing. After he was subdued, officers discovered an unresponsive Erika inside the home – she had visible signs of trauma to her face and head – she was brain dead. Erika Meece was pronounced dead shortly after she was transferred to the hospital. AutopsyAutopsy reviews proved her death was due to head injuries consistent with blunt-force trauma. Jeff’s nephew stated that Erika lived with her mother and only visited Jeff a couple times a week. “She was a wonderful kid,” he said. “She enjoyed spending time with her dad on Thursday’s and Friday’sFriday reviews.” Scott and Shirley had been out of the home that morning and returned shortly after the police showed up. Scott also stated that Jeff had a drug problem and often acted strangely as a result. Jeff Meece, 47, is being held on $1 million bail and facing three counts of first-degree murder. Dalton, GA - The details are sparse, but the 911 call is chilling – one-month-old Piper Hester’s mother, Kristen Hester, can be heard screaming in anguish as she tried to save the life of her baby. Kristen called 911 at 3:28 a.m. SundaySunday reviews after finding her husband passed out on the floor and the child next to him, bloodied and not breathing  – in that call, she could be heard blaming the child’s father, Nathaniel Hester, for injuring the child. “Nathan why the fuck is she bleeding, why do you have her blood on you, You mother-fucker, I’m gonna kill you, you’re going to jail, why are you bleeding, Nathan you killed her.” Later in the call, Kristen could be heard saying, “What are you high on, you’re going to jail, I’m not high on anything.” When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found that Piper was dead and Nathaniel had fled the scene.
