Shani Edmond Is A Role Model

Charlotte, NC – Like many school systems across the US, Mecklenburg County Schools are dealing with budget cuts. I would get into what a fucking joke our school administration is here, but I’ll save that for another day. Anyway, one of the things they have done is to merge a bunch of bus stops into larger common areas. A change that should have been done a long, long time ago if you ask me. That means some kids wont be able to hop out of their front door and into their seat and one mother was not happy with her daughter having to walk a bit further to catch her school bus. So  33-year-old Shani Edmond wrote a very intelligent, thought-provoking letter to the school board explaining her issues. Yeah, right. Maria Castillo Doesn’t Fly The Friendly Skies

Charlotte, NC – You know, some people just don’t like to fly.  Maria Esther Castillo, 45,  is one of those people.  Castillo, who is from New York, got herself arrested on SaturdaySaturday reviews when a United Airlines flight from Puerto Rico to ChicagoChicago reviews had to be diverted to Charlotte to get Castillo off the plane.  I guess that duct tape just wasn’t holding her down tight enough. Leslie Morales + Daniel Pataki = Murder

UPDATE – Leslie Morales and Daniel Pataki were caught today in Bland, Virginia. The pair is currently in custody.  More updates will be posted as we get them.

CharlotteCharlotte’s Web reviews, NC – Alexandria Salem’s body was found in the trash.  At about 5:00 yesterday morning, a woman opened her Charlotte dry cleaners and noticed a large bag next to the dumpster.  InsideInside reviews were the remains of the 46-year-old Salem.  She’d been brutally murdered and hastily dumped.  Now, police are looking for Salem’s daughter Leslie Michelle Morales, 21, and Morales’ boyfriend Daniel Francis Pataki, 22.  [Read more...]

Is There Justice For Chrystal Taylor?

Charlotte, NC – It was summer 1989, and Chrystal Taylor was sixteen. Not your normal sixteen, mind you.  Chrystal was thirty-five in a sixteen year old’s body.  She was living on the streets that summer – crashing with friends, dancing topless at a strip club in Charlotte, doing a little parking lot duty for extra cash. Apathy is the best word to describe it, I think, the total lack of concern that followed Chrystal Taylor’s disappearance. Her parents hadn’t seen her in ages.
