Man Charged With Slashing Dean’s Throat On Campus Minutes Before Governor’s Speech

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Shortly before Gov. Jay Nixon was scheduled to speak at Metropolitan Community College, Casey Brezik, 22, walked into the computer lab where Nixon was supposed to speak and began saying “check, check, check” into the podium’s microphone. Witnesses noticed that he was wearing a bullet-proof vest and playing with a butterfly knife. Al Dimmitt, the dean of instruction, was notified by an assistant and told he should get security. Brezik charged after Dimmitt as he walked out of the room and stabbed him in the throat multiple times. MCC Chancellor Mark James got a nick to the chest when he stepped up and tried to wrestle the knife out of Brezik’s crazy hands. Berzik was tackled by witnesses and held there until police arrived to arrest him. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action. The dean was taken to the hospital where he is now in stable condition while Nixon cancelled his speech. Hours before the incident, Brezik left some unsettling ramblings on his Facebook page.…

UNIONDALE, New York – The rape story everyone was talking about yesterday? You know, the Hofstra gang rape story in which an 18-year-old student claimed she was raped by five men on campus? Yeah well, she lied. “Late this evening, during the continuation of the Nassau County Police Department’s investigation of the allegation, and under questioning by my office’s chief trial attorney and chief sex crimes prosecutor, the alleged victim of the sexual assault admitted that the encounter that took place early Sunday morning was consensual,” Nassau County, New York, District Attorney Kathleen Rice said. UNIONDALE, New York – An 18-year-old Hofstra University student was forcibly gang-raped by five men while on campus. The girl had her cell phone snatched by a man she was dancing with at an on-campus spot, Hofstra USA. When she followed after him, she was forced into a men’s room stall, tied up and gang raped by five men. Out of the five men accused of raping the woman, four have been arrested. Kevin R. Taveras, 20; Stalin Felipe, 19; Jesus L. Ortiz, 19; and Rondell Bedward, 21 have all been charged with 1st-degree rape. Ortiz had an extra charge of grand larceny in the fourth degree added for taking the victim’s cell phone. …

Middletown, Connecticut – Well, at least that what the news is reporting. Stephen Morgan, 29, is currently the subject of a nationwide manhunt after he walked into a bookstore near the Wesleyan University campus on Wednesday and fatally shot 21-year-old Johanna Justin-Jinich to death. While the two did share a past together – Justin-Jinich had filed harassment charges against Morgan back in 2007 – police have uncovered evidence that leads them to believe Morgan may be targeting members of the Jewish community and the Wesleyan community campus. …
