Portland, OR – At about 11:00 Wednesday morning, 26-year-old Daniel Shaull set himself on fire outside of Nicholas Ungar Furs in downtown Portland. Blazing, Shaull attempted to enter the fur store, only to discover the doors were locked. WitnessesWitnesses reviews claim Shaull was screaming, “The world is ending! There are animals dying! AnimalsAnimals reviews dying!” while running up and down the sidewalk. A Portland police officer just happened to be sitting at a nearby stoplight and, grabbing what she thought was a fire extinguisher, rushed over to help. Though she sprayed the man, he continued to burn. And scream. A bystander approached with his own extinguisher and attempted to put the the fire out, but Shaull kept running away from him. Eventually, additional officers arrived, and they were able to get him on the ground and extinguish the flames. Though unconscious, he was still alive. Well, for awhile anyway – he died later that same night. Miami, Florida – Passers-by noticed a fire inside a Miami dumpster and alerted authorities. The cause of the fire turned out to be the body of 26-year-old Paula Sladewski. It took two days to identify Sladewski, who stars in the video “Playboy: The Ultimate Playmate Search”, because she was so severely burned that officials had to identify her using dental records. Her boyfriend, Kevin Klym, 34, has been named a person of interest although he denies having anything to do with her death. He claims the last he saw her was during the early morning hours of SundaySunday reviews inside a Miami nightclub – right before he was kicked out after the pair got into a shouting argument. Klym claims he then took a taxi back to their hotel room, leaving Sladewski at the club. Sladewski’s stepfather, Richard Watkins, doesn’t understand why he would just leave his daughter there, and also revealed that the couple’s two year relationship was often a violent one. Court records show that during the summer, Sladewski was arrested for breaking a bottle over Klym’s head and in December, Klym was arrested for braking  Sladewski’s nose during an argument. Watkins also added that Sladewski had been recently sending texts to her ex-boyfriend asking for help as she feared Klym was trying to kill her. PhoenixPhoenix reviews, Arizona – A 45-year-old man was helping his cousin roast a pig for a neighborhood block party when he accidentally fell into the backyard fire pit. The man fell face first into the 3-foot deep pit and became wedged. When his cousin was unable to pull him out of the fire he used a water hose in an attempt to douse the fire. So not only did this guy burn in a fire pit that was probably at several hundred degrees, but he also got steamed. It took several police officers to get the man out of the pit, but he was pronounced dead. Reports are that the two men had been drinking, but do not know if that played any factor into the man falling in. NORTH STONINGTON, Connecticut - We did an article about a body police found burning on the side of the road. This body has been identified as Rebecca Koster. The 22-year-old from Medford was last seen on video in the Butcher Boys Bar and Grill in Holbrook around 3:30 a.m. FridayFriday reviews. She is seen leaving the bar with her boyfriend, Dan Mayor, 28. An autopsy was performed on SaturdaySaturday reviews and her death was ruled a homicide. Police had received a 911 call regarding a brush fire but when firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a blaze about 10 ft off Jeremy Hill road containing human remains so badly damaged they could not tell the gender. Now it is being reported that someone used her missing phone to send out some sick text messages. The first message came at 11:40 p.m. SundaySunday reviews: “Dan has me tied up in a basement somewhere in Commack.” On Monday Rebecca’s mother received another text police believe came from a parking lot near Northern Parkway in Happauge. Anchorage, AK – Ugh. I don’t even know where to start with this one. We have a couple of fucktards – Jonathan Miller and Stephen Dilley II, a 5-year-old boy left in their care, and a “redneck flamethrower.” Taking that into consideration, you just know this won’t end well. Last Friday, the boy’s mother left him in the care of Miller and Dilley for the weekend. Miller is the woman’s current boyfriend – Dilley is the woman’s ex-boyfriend and father to one of her five children – and though the woman has a restraining order against him, Dilley lives in a trailer on the property and helps her with her brood. According to the arrest affidavit, Miller told officers that he’s been trying to “toughen the boy up” and the best way to do that is to “scare the shit out of them when they don’t see it coming.” Last Friday evening, Dilley grabbed a can of starter fluid and an lighter and asked Miller, “You know what would be funny?” Miller must have been thinking along the same lines because he responded, “You know how much trouble I could get in for this?” Then he called for the child. Now, 66-year-old Doris Babcock is dead – the young boy she took under her wing, 19-year-old Zachary Snyder, stands accused of murdering her. Damn. When authorities arrived at the home, they came in contact with Zachary – who, the husband told them, was not supposed to be there. Zachary, who appeared to have cuts on his hands and Doris’s debit and credit cards in his pockets, told officers that Doris wasn’t home. Chicago, IL- Considering the criminal record of RSO Michael Barnes, 49, I do not understand why any woman in her right mind would want to have this man in their life, let alone, leave their child in his care. In 1980, Barnes was convicted of molesting and murdering a 13-year old child. That year, he was sentenced to 4 years for indecent liberties with a child and 28 years for first-degree murder. Then in 1995, Barnes was once again sentenced to 10 years in prison for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Sounds like the only thing this guy is good at is costing tax payers money while he continues to prove he’s not worth a damn dime of it. Somehow, this career criminal was released on parole in May 2004 for God knows what, overcrowding in the prison, good behavior, ignorance on the parole board, and once again he is facing more prison time for severely burning a 2-year old child. Tulsa, OK – Just like the old saying, “play with  fire and you’re bound to get burned,” 33-year old Nicole Partridge learned a horrific lesson on just how bad being involved with meth can be. Around 2 p.m. this last FridayFriday reviews, police received a 911 call from Partridge after a domestic dispute with her 23-year old boyfriend, Kenneth McCurley. They found Partridge outside a residence critically burned, from the neck down. Schenectady, NY- From the very beginning the police suspected arson. Around 4:30 a.m. on June 13, firefighters responded to call of a burning apartment building. The brave firefighters risked their lives as they fought through the smoke and the flames inside the burning structure searching for helpless victims. It was on the second floor in a bedroom where they found 10-year old Avion Bell lying on the floor. Once outside, the firefighters had to resuscitate Avion twice before she was taken to the hospital. From there she was flown to Westchester Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation and listed in critical condition. The three firefighters who rescued Avion were also injured. Out of the three, Capt. Douglas Faulisi, 38, suffered the worst and may be off the job for up to a year due to a seriously injured hand. [Read more...]
