Huron Township – This is one of the most horrifyingly callous stories I have written about in a while. I have read through about 15 different articles and got sicker the entire time. Sharon Hinojosa, 29, lived in a mobile home with her boyfriend Justin Whisler. Early Friday morning, the mobile home caught fire. Hinojosa was able to escape the blaze with the 1-year-old she shared with Whisler. Sadly,her two other children she had with another man, 4-year-old Anthony, and 3-year-old Alayna, perished in the flames — despite attempts by neighbors to rescue them. Now police have charged Hinojosa with setting the fire and purposely leaving her two children to burn alive. DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla – On Tuesday, 15-year-old Michael Brewer had skipped school and was visiting a friend outside the Lime Tree Apartments complex. As he sat by the pool, he was approached by five other teens who began yelling that he was a snitch and to “pour it on him“. When Brewer tried to walk away from the group, police said 15-year-old Denver Jarvis splashed him with a jar of rubbing alcohol and Jesus Mendez, 15, used a lighter to set him on fire. Brewer ended up jumping in the pool to extinguish the flames, but the damage had been done. Carrollwood, Fl – Being a parent is not an easy job.  Children can be a constant stream of needs, wants and demands.  Sure, the hugs, kisses, unconditional love and complete adoration from another human being are rewarding, but sometimes you have to put up with some pretty trying stuff.  Like when they misbehave.  Parents know what I am talking about.  Tantrums in the toy aisle, fighting at bedtime, not eating their veggies, the call from the daycare telling you that your daughter stabbed another child in the hand with a pencil. Mary Deoleo (MyspaceMySpace) and Brianna

Hazleton, PA – Mary Deoleo, 21, is a young single mother to three-year-old Brianna. And sometimes young mothers do stupid things, especially if there isn’t a lot going on upstairs to begin with.  But letting your baby walk around for a week with a burn that covered her entire right butt cheek?  Not taking the child to the doctor?   Waiting until the burn stuck to Brianna’s clothes and broke open every time she moved?  Not even giving your baby a Tylenol to help with the pain?

BRADENTON, Fla. – It has not been made quite clear what prompted Maverna to do what she did, but she was so mad at her husband, that while he was sleeping, Maverna Theresa Turay, 52, poured a pot of boiling water on to his groin. He then ran out of the house screaming while a relative called 911.
