UPDATE 7/8/08 – A source tells me that Gonsoulin’s girlfriend, Guadalupe Diaz, was not home on Thursday, July 3, when most of the abuse occurred. Diaz returned home, saw Cameron, and called 911. Charges may still be brought against Diaz, since investigation has determined that she had knowledge of the abuse in the days prior to Thursday. Charges are also likely against Richard D’Ginto, the neighbor who witnessed some of the abuse.

UPDATE 6/17/08 – The man who killed his two-year-old son is named Sergio Aguiar. The baby’s name is also Sergio, and he turned two in May. Aguiar and his wife, Frances Liliana Casian, are separated and baby Sergio was visiting his father. The heroic officer who shot Aguiar is Officer Jerry Ramar, a Modesto police veteran and flight officer. More details at the bottom of this article.

Turlock, CA, June 16, 2008 – Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Saturday night, a 27-year-old man stopped his pickup truck on the side of an unlit country road between Modesto and Turlock in California. The man then took a baby out of the vehicle, removed the infant from his car seat, and proceeded to beat and stomp the child to death. Witnesses were unable to stop the man, who was covered in the baby’s blood, until a Modesto police officer dropped in on the scene by helicopter. When it was readily apparent that the suspect was not going to stop killing the baby, the police officer shot and killed the suspect in hopes of saving the child.…

EASTON, Pa. – There are some parents that have good intentions but just aren’t good at it, and then there are some parents that aren’t fit to raise earthworms. Juan Ortiz, 32, and his wife Yanira Arias-Ortiz, 30 are two of those people.
Sometime in April, their 11 year old son got into some trouble for stealing a coin from another boy. Ortiz decided to teach his boy that stealing is bad with a flat, wooden piece of a railing. When the staff at Cheston Elementary School noticed his injuries, they reported it. Ortiz was charged on May 5th and released on $1,000 bail. One of the conditions of his release was that he was not allowed to live in the home with the child.
End of story right? Nope.…

Monday night, Nino’s 3 year old son, Aziriah wet himself. Nino, being the caring mother that she is, told him she loved him anyway, bathed him and dressed him in a nice clean set of pajamas. OK, no she didn’t. Would we be talking about her if she did? Nino actually hit him on the back of the head and took him to the bathroom and closed the door. Witnesses described hearing screaming and what sounded like the boy being hit. They also claim to have witnessed him emerging from the bathroom naked, crying, and shaking uncontrollably. Now, I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t think she got that potty training method from any of the parenting books. York, Pa - Neida E. Baez, 19, lived with her 2-year-old daughter and her boyfriend Harve L. Johnson, 26. On Sunday, Johnson beat the toddler to death with a game controller and cord. Baez told investigators that she let this asshole beat her child with a goddamn game controller until she stopped screaming. Johnson then tried to save his ass by placing the unconscious toddler in the bathtub to revive her, but it didn’t work. They then attempted CPR. Update: 3/5/09-Phillip Waller unexpectedly changed his not guilty plea to guilty on Tuesday and was sentenced to serve 2 years of a 10-year sentence. The remaining 8 years will likely be spent on probation. Credited with time-served, Waller still has to serve about 10-months behind bars.
UPDATE 12/18/08 – Tina Richards has pleaded guilty to the abuse of her son Aiden Waller in January, when he was 10 months old. Now almost 2, Aiden is severely brain injured and his long term prognosis is not good. This week, Richards was sentenced to 30 years in prison followed by 10 years on probation. Convicted earlier this year on a previous abuse case involving Aiden, Tina Richards is already serving a twenty-year sentence for that crime. Richards, now 20, will not likely get out of prison until 2038. Phillip Waller has yet to go to trial, and prosecutors say they are working with the defense to cut a deal for Waller, who knew of the abuse but did not actively try to stop it.…

Update 4/24/08 – Nakita McDaniels, 15, has been sentenced to juvie for her role in the attack on Sarah Kreager. Two teens had charges dropped, and the other kids involved have received lesser sentences. Update at the bottom of the article.
BALTIMORE – Sarah Kreager, 26, suffered broken facial bones as well as serious cuts to her head and neck after she was punched, kicked and dragged off a Maryland Transit bus by a group of youths Tuesday afternoon. Kreager’s companion, Troy Ellis, was also attacked when he tried to intervene. The reason this is making news, aside from the fact that someone got their ass beat on a public bus, is the fact that Sarah is white, and the 9 (yes, NINE) teenagers were black.
The six boys and three girls, all 14 and 15 years old, were are also accused of menacing an elderly white passenger and assaulting the bus operator, a black male who defended his passenger. They all attend Robert Poole Middle School in Hampden.Their side of the story is that they were making fun of Keager because she had a black eye.…
