Teen Used Axe To Kill Ex’s Mom And New Boyfriend Before Killing Self

LIVONIA, Mich. – Police say a teen was upset over his recent breakup with his girlfriend when he broke into her home and used an axe to kill her mother and her new boyfriend before killing himself.
On Wednesday, 19-year-old Brian Douglas White entered the home of his ex-girlfriend, 17-year-old Desiree Staperfene, and used an axe to kill her mother, 46-year-old Angela Kim Staperfene, as well as Desiree’s new boyfriend, 19-year-old Jacob Lee Burns. Both would die from multiple axe wounds to the head.
Reportedly, Desiree was forced to watch as her mother and boyfriend were murdered. She was injured during the attack, but the Stevenson High School senior was able to flee the home and call 911. When police arrived on the scene, they found White dead after having blown his brains out.
Desiree was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital. Friends say White recently confronted Desiree at school and say his controlling nature is the reason she recently broke up with him.

REDDING, Calif. – Here’s an absolutely gruesome story out of California where a man went on a rampage and murdered two innocent men with a splitting maul.
Police say Thomas McDonald got into an argument with friends he was staying with over some missing medication he felt had been stolen. Investigators say a fight broke out that ended with McDonald stabbing Captain Cappy Ricks and Gary St. Pierre with a fork before running outside.
That’s when they say McDonald approached 84-year-old Ralph Torborg who lived a few houses down and was out doing yard work. Torborg had lived at the home for 40 years and died in his front yard after McDonald inexplicably beat him to death with a splitting maul. The beating was so vicious, Torborg’s face was crushed, one of his hands had been cut off and one foot had been partially severed.
But McDonald wasn’t finished spilling blood, however. At a nearby houseboat repair shop he found 54-year-old Karl Bradshaw sitting in his truck on a lunch break. McDonald used the splitting maul to strike Bradshaw in the head multiple times.…

OSKALOOSA, IA — In what could best be described as a scene right out of a horror movie, a 6-foot tall, 300-pound man has been charged with murdering his mother’s boyfriend with a medieval-style battle axe.
Police say 25-year-old Bradley Arterburn had a collection of knives and axes in the basement, and used one of them to attack 58-year-old Robert Horovitz, his mother’s boyfriend of about three weeks. They think he first used the tip of the axe to stab the man in the back before using the double-blades.
“He started hitting him with the ax. He had back, shoulder, neck, head injuries, arm injuries,” Oskaloosa Police Chief Jake McGee said.
When police responded to the scene, they found Horovitz dead in the living room. Afterburn was outside on the deck smoking a cigarette. He was also suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds. Arterburn had to be tackled and subdued by police after he lunged at them. He has been charged with first-degree murder. Police have no idea what triggered the attack.
Afterburn’s neighbors describe him as a quiet man who mostly kept to himself.…

Englewood, FL -- A 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attacking his mother with an axe, threatening to kill her, and then forcing her to stay in his bedroom and watch movies with him.
Deputies arrested Robert Christopher Tuttle after receiving a call from his 60-year-old mother who was able to escape from the bedroom. According to the mother, Tuttle had been drinking Thursday night and became aggressive around midnight.
He began destroying items in the house and ultimately took an axe to the oven, refrigerator and a bedroom door. Tuttle swung the axe at his mom but she stepped back, avoiding the blow. Because he threatened to kill the mother if she called police, she obliged and remained silent.
Then, in a bizarre move, he forced his mother to watch movies with him in his bedroom for several hours… all while he held the axe. It wasn’t until 10 am, when Tuttle finally fell asleep, that the mother was able to escape and call police.
Deputies arrested Tuttle, charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment.…

RIO LINDA, CA - Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. A man has been charged with murder after using an axe on a man he incorrectly suspected of burglarizing his home.
When 29-year-old Steven Zinda arrived home in the early Sunday morning, his house was in the process of being burglarized. The intruder fled and Zinda took off after him wielding an axe.
At the same time, 20-year-old David Valdez was also having some bad luck after getting his SUV stuck in a ditch across the street from Valdez’s home while on the way home from a party. He was standing outside of his vehicle using his cell phone to call his girlfriend and his mother letting them know he would be home as soon as his friends showed up to help him.
That’s when he was approached by the axe-wielding Zinda and did like most of us would do if a strange, agitated man wielding an axe started coming towards you on an empty street at four in the morning — Valdez ran like hell.…

Hickory, NC — Police have charged a 19-year-old with murder after a man was killed in what some investigators are calling one of the most bloodiest crime scenes they’ve seen in years.
Early this morning, Michael Anderson, 19, called 911 to report he had shot his roommate, 36-year-old Stephen Starr. When police arrived at the home, they found Starr’s dead body laying on a bed in the front bedroom.
He’d been fatally shot with both a handgun and a shotgun then had his body hacked up with an axe. Not quite satisfied with their handiwork, the killer used a knife to carve words into his body. A pen was used to write even more.
Anderson was taken into custody at the scene and charged with murder this afternoon. He told WBTV’s Steve Ohnsesorge that he was “sorry” to Starr’s family.
Investigators are also trying to determine exactly what the relationship between Starr and Anderson was besides them being roommates. Anderson told police that the two were just friends, but a neighbor said Starr introduced the teen as his son — which he is not.…

Warwick, RI – Nothing ruins an already painful commute quite like an axing, am I right? I think Joseph Gallagher would agree – he was recently axed by two men, possibly because he was driving too slow. Details are a bit sketchy, but police say Gallagher was attacked by the axe wielding duo during his commute Tuesday afternoon. The father of three was reportedly hit on the head, leg and thigh before the alleged attackers got back into their vehicle and drove off. Gallagher managed to call 911 and drive himself home before collapsing on his neighbor’s front porch. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition with non-life threatening injuries. In the meantime, authorities are on the lookout for the two suspects. Police say they were driving a red 2000 Hyundai Elantra with Rhode Island tag HJ 396. Elyria, OH- This last weekend, Brian Andrews became upset angry homicidal that some of his cousin’s lawn chairs were being borrowed by her neighbor’s party guests without permission. Andrews and his cousin showed up at the 4-year old’s birthday party uninvited and confronted the homeowners. An argument erupted and Andrews announced to the party-goers that he was “there to take lives.” Andrews then pulled a small axe from his pants, screamed, “Fuck You, N*gg*rs” and began swinging the hatchet at the people. Everyone instantly scattered for safety and the police were called. When officers arrived at the home, Andrews was still wielding his axe and acting like a homicidal maniac. Andrews continued cursing, refused to listen to the officers and allegedly told them to “Shoot me. Shoot me in between my eyes.” The psychotic party-pooper got his wish… well, sort of. Hanover, Virginia – Omar Abdelaal just turned 16 – now, he’s looking at 20-to-life. Omar is accused of attacking another teen with an axe, sloughing off the left side of the kids face. The victim, just 15, had to have his face sewn back together with about 120 stitches. The entire attack was captured on video surveillance at a frequent teen hangout called Tractor Supply, Co. According to police, two groups of teens were arguing in the parking lot when Omar and his friends walked away and entered the supply store – the victim and his friends weren’t far behind. At some point, Omar broke away from the entire group, grabbed an axe from a display, removed the protective cover, and attacked the other teen. Alabama – Curtis Watts was a pastor at the Dingler Chapel in Randolph County. Key word being “was” because Mr. Watts ended up getting shot to death by the Clay County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant whose hand he cut off. Last week, police responded to a 911 call from Watt’s wife. She claimed he had assaulted her. Watts ended up tazing Watts multiple times, was charged with resisting arrest. He was out out on bond when deputies went to his residence to serve Watts a Protective Order signed by his wife. Watts began swinging an axe at Sergeant Jason Freeman, who fired a tazer in return. This didn’t stop Watts who continued swinging his axe and ended up chopping off one of Freeman’s hands. Other deputies on the scene then opened fire on Watts, killing him. And for the second day in a row, the implements of destruction are an axe, a shovel, and a 2×4. Exactly where is the breaking point between being absolutely pissed off as a hornet and wanting to beat the shit out of someone and actually doing it? I know you can kill someone with a 2×4. I mean, the first hit better be good enough to stun them, and the continued beating should be enough to X their eyes. Shovels can do a lot of damage too.
