Alexis Goggins Is One Bad Ass 1st Grader

DETROIT – When a gunman opened fire on Alexis’ mother, she jumped in between them and took 6 bullets. She is in stable condition at Children’s Hospital in Detroit recovering from gunshot wounds to the eye, left temple, chin, cheek, chest and right arm.
The events started when Alexis Goggins, 7, her mother, Selietha Parker, 30, and family friend, Aisha Ford, were taken hostage by Parker’s boyfriend, Calvin Tillie, 39. A man she had been dating for only 6-months. Forcing Ford to drive them to a location, Ford stalled for time by stopping at a gas station, and calling 911 on the way in to pay for the gas. Stating that Ford was taking too long, he opened on Parker. It is at that point that Alexis scrambled over the seat and got between her mother and Tillie, begging him to stop. Without hesitation, Tillie unloaded into the little girl.
When police arrived, Tillie surrendered without incident. Alexis was found underneath the steering wheel, bleeding profusely. She was surrounded by bullet casing and broken glass and there were teeth on the seat of the vehicle. Her mother suffered a gunshot wound to the side of the head and bicep.
Tillie is being held in the Wayne County Jail facing kidnapping, assault with intent to murder, child abuse, felony firearms and habitual criminal charges.
Austin Schmidt Gives Terrible Presents

FLINT, Mich. - Austin M. Schmidt was sitting in his car in front of the apartment complex where he lived. With him was a 23-year-old exotic dancer. They were smoking pot and talking. The woman noticed that the inside of the car was covered with towels and sheets but Schmidt told her that the inside of his car had gotten wet. At some point, Schmidt told the woman to close her eyes, as he had a Sweetest Day gift for her. The woman closed her eyes, and Schmidt began beating her in the head with a hammer.
She was able to get out of the car, but Schmidt followed her, continuing to beat her with the hammer in an apartment hallway until residents called police. The woman lived, even thought she received more than 30 blows to her head and arm in the attack. Her injuries required 25 staples in her head and 50 stitches on her face and arm, including having her left ear reattached. Schmidt had pleaded no contest to assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. He’d initially been charged with assault with intent to murder. He was sentenced Tuesday to a minimum of 5 1/2 years in prison. He has apologized to the woman, but has yet to give a reason for the attack.

Man Tried to Hang Wife in ‘Haunted House’

Spokane, WA - In an attempt to avoid a divorce, Sean Jennings asked his wife to come out to the garage to see the haunted house he had created for Halloween. He also asked her to climb a ladder so he could test out a noose he was gong to use to hang a skeleton. When she put her head through the noose, Sean turned on a radio in the garage and pulled the ladder out from under her.
The woman was able to periodically support herself on her tip toes and was only able to escape after promising her husband she would not divorce him or tell anyone what he had just done. She later called police from a Wal-Mart parking lot.
