William Oller Sr., 70, has been ordered to stand trial for the January shooting his 50-year-old son, William Oller Jr., after getting aggravated at his son’s karaoke signing of a Kenny Chesney song.
Oller Sr. was visiting his son when he became angry over the music and the two got into an argument. Oller Sr. was heard saying, “I’m going to shut you up” multiple times before going out to his vehicle and retrieving a handgun.
His son followed him outside and the two got into a struggle over the firearm, resulting in Oller Jr. being shot multiple times and Oller Sr. suffering a gunshot to the leg. According to officials, Oller Sr. told police that his son hit him first and in response, he “shot the shit out of him.”

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – A Florida jury didn’t buy the insanity defense put up by Wayne Treacy, the 17-year-old accused of using his dead brother’s steel-toed boots to kick the crap out of a teenage girl’s head, and found him guilty of attempted murder.
Here’s a quick recap for those of you not aware of this case. Two years ago, a then 15-year-old Wayne Treacy, attacked 15-year-old Josie Lou Ratley in the bus parking of Deerfield Beach Middle School because he was upset over some texts she had made regarding his dead brother.
Throwing on some of his dead brother’s clothes, Treacy rode his bike to the school, had his 13-year-old girlfriend point out who Ratley was, and then attempted to kick and stomp Ratley’s brains out of her head. Another teacher at the school intervened and Treacy was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Treacy’s lawyer went for the Hail Mary of defenses, trying to claim that Treacy was suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder at the time he attacked Ratley, stemming from his older brother’s suicide.…Continue Reading
HESPERIA, CA – A man in California died in a car crash shortly after running over his wife.
Police say 34-year-old Kenneth Amaya Jr. and his wife were arguing outside of their GMC Yukon after pulling over to the side of the road. Moments later, Amaya jumped back into the SUV and drove away, running over his wife in the process.
She was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition with extensive injuries but was able to tell police who had run her over. Police believed Amaya had attempted to kill his wife and immediately began searching for him.
They didn’t have to search for too long, and he didn’t put up much of a fight, as he was found dead off of Interstate 15.
The California Highway Patrol says Amaya was speeding down the interstate when he lost control of the vehicle. He veered to the right and crashed into a metal guardrail. Amaya was not wearing a seat belt so his passenger, Karma, had no problems booting his ass out of the SUV as it continued through the barrier and went rolling down a steep embankment.…Continue Reading
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL– Two years ago we reported on Wayne Treacy, the then 15-year-old who used some steel-toed boots to turn a 15-year-old girl’s brains into a bowl of mashed potatoes because he got upset over some texts she had sent him. Today, opening statements started in Treacy’s attempted murder trial.
Here’s a little background for those of you unfamiliar with this case. Treacy was in a relationship with 13-year-old Kayla Manson, who attended Deerfield Beach Middle School. She did not have a cell phone, so Treacy texted her friend, 15-year-old Josie Lou Ratley, asking about his girlfriend’s whereabouts.
Ratley didn’t know Treacy very well, but she let him know that she did not approve of him dating her friend. This lead to the two sending a series of heated, barely literate text messages back and forth, messages that sent Treacy into a fit of rage.
But the message that really sent Treacy over the edge was the message in which Ratley tells references Treacy’s dead brother. Treacy’s older brother had committed suicide five months earlier by hanging himself from a tree in front of a church.…Continue Reading
BOYNTON BEACH, FL - We have had a couple stories this week detailing someone setting someone else on fire–one in Alaska another in Ohio–and now we have another out of Florida. The difference with this one is that it was all caught on video.
A woman was meeting 54-year-old Roosevelt Mondesir at a gas station so that they could exchange their 4-year-old son. The two are not married, but do share custody of their son. But when Mondesir arrives in his white Jaguar, he does not have their son with him. He does have some gasoline, however, and proceeds to pour it on the woman and her vehicle as she tries to leave.
The gas station surveillance cameras captures this, as well as the 34-year-old woman’s futile attempts to get away from Mondesir and try to find help inside the convenience store. She doesn’t find any and the relentless Mondesir is able to set her on fire. Video footage captures the horrific image of the woman on fire as she first tries to enter the store for help, and then as she runs around the parking lot trying to put out the flames.…Continue Reading
Cleveland, OH - Speaking of people setting their partner on fire, a man Kniption reported on earlier this year has been sentenced for setting his girlfriend on fire while she held their baby.
Back in January, 31-year-old Kevin Ford got into an argument with his girlfriend, 31-year-old Tiffany Lawson. This argument led to Ford spraying lighter fluid on Lawson, who was holding their 11-month-old child, as he chased her around the house.
Lawson was able to make it to the second floor of their town home before Ford lit her clothing on fire. Lawson was able to drop her baby from the second floor window to someone waiting below, then strip off her burning clothing and take the same exit.
Both the baby and Lawson survived, with Lawson suffering second degree burns, a broken wrist and other injuries. Ford fled the scene before police arrived but was arrested later that day.
In April, Ford pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder, three counts of aggravated arson, three counts of felonious assault, four counts of kidnapping, two counts of domestic violence and one count of endangering children. …Continue Reading
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla – It’s been almost three years since we first reported on Michael Brewer, the then 15-year-old boy who was set on fire by three teens over a $40 debt. A lot has happened since then, but jury selection has started for one of the accused who decided not to take a plea.
For those of you unfamiliar with the story, and don’t feel like clicking the above link, here’s a quick synopsis.
Brewer allegedly had not paid 15-year-old Matthew Bent $40 for a video game. To re-coup his losses, Bent tried stealing a $500 custom bicycle off the Brewer’s front porch. He was caught in the act and arrested.
The following day, Bent and two other 15-year-olds, Denver Jarvis and Jesus Mendez, found Brewer skipping school at an apartment complex. Bent allegedly ordered Jarvis to pour a bottle of rubbing alcohol on Brent, which he did. Mendez then used a lighter to set Brewer on fire.
Engulfed in flames, Brewer ran and jumped into the apartment complex’s swimming pool.…Continue Reading
Corbin, KY - A Kentucky woman was hospitalized in serious condition after an acquaintance reportedly stabbed her six times in a heated roadside dispute over a bra. Virginia L. Frye (pictured), 30, was arrested after Erica Canada – believed to be in her 20s – was brought to a hospital with stab wounds.
The melee reportedly began when Frye asked the victim to return a bra that she had left at Canada’s home.
“I called [Canada] to ask her about the bra and that’s when she said, ‘I have a problem with you,’” said Frye.
Not able to let that go by, the women met shortly after alongside a Kentucky highway. Investigators say both women had weapons – Canada armed with a lug wrench and Frye armed with a kitchen knife.
“They were screaming ‘bash her head in, kill her, kill her,’ and I had no choice but to defend myself,” said Frye. An interview with the clearly hyperactive Frye can be viewed here.
Whitley County Sheriff’s Deputy Shawn Jackson was dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:15 p.m.…Continue Reading
Baltimore – A Baltimore woman was able to smuggle a kitchen knife into a Department of Social Services and then used it to stab her 8 month old child in the face, chest and neck.
Kenisha Thomas, 29, was at the Baltimore Social Services office having a supervised visit with her infant daughter that she no longer has custody of.
Visitors are supposed to pass through a metal detector and are subjected to bag screenings, but as the end of their visit ticked away she pulled out a long, wood handled kitchen knife and started stabbing her baby in the neck and face.
Hearing screams of help, co-workers rushed into the conference room to see the mother holding the infant on the table and pressing the blade of the knife to her throat. Kenisha was met with a chair to the face and pinned to the ground until help could arrive.
Kenisha being the lady she is, exclaimed, “I hope my baby is dead!” and then proceeded to bite the man who was holding her down. …Continue Reading
Houston, TX – Police have charged three people with abducting a woman, beating her and then setting her on fire.
According to court documents, 25-year-old Garrick “Joker” Hastings told a friend that he had killed a prostitute who had stole $6,000 from him. He claimed he had her kidnapped and taken to an abandoned trailer where he beat her with a metal rod, tied her up and then set her on fire.
Unfortunately, it turns out he wasn’t lying. However, he wasn’t entirely correct. Surprisingly, the woman somehow survived the attack, even though she suffered burns to 80 percent of her body, and had identified her attackers to police.
According to the victim’s aunt, her niece lived with her boyfriend and Hastings, an alleged drug dealer and gang member. She says that shortly after hearing her niece arguing with Hastings about drugs and money, the victim was abducted from a motel and taken to a trailer. She was reportedly held there by 37-year-old Anita Pena until Hastings showed up.
When Hastings arrived he, along with 37-year-old Thomas Martin, tied her up and beat her with an iron bar before setting her on fire and leaving her for dead.…Continue Reading

Midway, FL - Police have arrested two teenagers on attempted murder charges, accusing them of beating a 50-year-old man over the head with a hammer and stealing his vehicle. The victim is currently on life support.
On March 26, police were called by a witness who said they heard someone screaming for help and watched as two men pulled a man from a vehicle and drag him into the woods. Police would find the victim lying in the woods.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim was sitting in his SUV when 18-year-old Julius Bender and 19-year-old Yahaziel Israel approached him and began beating him with a hammer. He was pulled out of his vehicle and dragged into a nearby wooded area where he was beaten over the head with the hammer.
His attackers fled the scene in the man’s car before police arrived and abandoned the vehicle at a short distance away. Investigators would received a tip from Crimeline that named Bender and Israel as the two they were looking for.…Continue Reading
The teen was hanging out with a couple friends late last month, when he allegedly stabbed the 14-year-old victim in the gut with a 4-inch knife, causing a severe laceration to the boy’s intestine.
Afterwards, police say, the alleged stabber walked the stabbee to a nearby auto repair shop, where an ambulance was summoned.
A third teen claims to have witnessed the pokin’, and later told police he heard the alleged stabber tell the victim to pretend he had fallen on the blade.
The 15-year-old, who police say has no criminal background or questionable mental health history, reportedly told police he poked his friend because an Ouija board commanded it.
Weslaco police spokesman J.P. Rodriguez admits that the case is ”a little eerie” but said investigators believe the boy used the Ouija board to rationalize the attack.
“He actually believed what the Ouija board advised him, that the friend was the cause of his problems,” Rodriguez said.…Continue Reading

William Carr Oller Jr., 50, was apparently belting out a country tune at his home Thursday, when Oller Sr. essentially told him to shut the f*ck up. When the younger Oller failed to do so, the elder Oller reportedly exited the man’s home, declaring, “I’m going to shut you up.”
Police say Oller Sr. then retrieved a .22 caliber from his pickup and pointed it at his son, who had followed him outside to speak with him. With that, Oller Jr. beat feet back into the trailer, locking the door behind him.
Believing his father had left the area, Oller Jr. opened the door and popped his head out. There was dad, on the porch, gun in hand.
Police say that triggered another fight – a fight that reportedly left the younger Oller with gunshot wounds to the head, chest, hand and shoulder.…Continue Reading
