Suffolk, VA – How about a couple stories dealing with my favorite subject, psycho kids. Starting with a 12-year-old in Virginia who has been charged with animal cruelty after beating the snot out of a kitten.
Police say some kids were playing with a 7-week-old kitten when the 12-year-old grabbed it, threw it up against a wall and then began hitting the kitten with a stick. When he pulled out a knife and said he was going to cut the kitten, police say another kid approached him and smacked the knife out of his hand.
The kids placed the kitten in a box because they thought it was dead, not realizing cats are from the deepest bowels of Hell and cannot be mortally wounded by a human. When an Animal Control officer found the kitten, it seemed unresponsive, but opened its eyes and ‘meowed’ when he picked it up.
The kitten was treated for a broken leg and bruised lungs and will be available for adoption this Friday. If you’re interested, call the shelter at (757) 514-7855. The 12-year-old was charged with one count of misdemeanor cruelty.…

East Harlem, NY – Irving Sanchez, 46, was arrested after an elevator surveillance video captured him mistreating Max, his disabled wife’s service dog.
Sanchez is seen in the video slamming the year old Pit Bull mix into the walls of the elevator with the leash before kicking and whipping it. A Police Housing Unit Officer monitoring the elevator video feed arrested Sanchez.
Sanchez was charged aggravated cruelty to animals. Max survived the attack and is being cared for by Animal Care and Control – he is expected to be offered for adoption.
The man’s wife says he feeds and walks Max daily, even allows the dog to sleep in their bed. She claims the accusations against her husband are completely inconsistent with the kind and gentle man she knows.
For those of you debating the nature versus nurture pit bull question, it is worth noting that Max remained submissive throughout. That said… let’s give Max a year or so, then we’ll plan a Max-Irving elevator rematch.
Warning: The video is rather graphic.…

May 23, 2011 at 9:24 am by Jaded
Jensen Beach, FL — Speaking of rotten teenagers, a 13-year-old girl was taken into custody last week after her mother told police she “used” a cordless screwdriver on the family dog, laughing as she left a one inch open wound on the pup’s body.
The kid’s mother told police she tried to stop the girl from further injuring the dog, but the girl just “kept laughing, thinking that it was funny that the dog was hurt.”
Her alleged actions, of course, led to an argument at which time the girl reportedly threatened to “cut” her mother and “rearrange” her “ugly face.” In addition to harming the dog, the teen has been accused of scratching her mom.
Mom, further claiming to have found a BB gun and assorted cutlery hidden in the kid’s bedroom in the past, asked if she could have the girl involuntarily committed for a mental health evaluation under the Baker Act. Not sure what the reply was, but the kid was arrested on misdemeanor charges of domestic battery and cruelty to animals.…

Sultan, WA — If you happened to be driving down U.S. 2 in Washington on Thursday, there’s a chance you saw a half-naked woman acting crazy and holding a severed dog’s head with a towel. If you didn’t, consider the possibility that you have not yet lived.
At roughly 11:30 AM police received calls about the nutter from concerned motorists. Snohomish County Sheriff’s department spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said the woman was “…distraught and not making sense,” which is funny because the last time I met a half-naked woman holding the severed head of a canine she was calm, and gave me a very compelling and well-prepared speech on quantum mechanics. In case you needed something to help you visualize this mess, Hover also said the dog might be a German Shepherd/Lab mix.
The woman, 48, was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. Police say they believe she chopped Scruffy’s noggin off at her house, where they also found two cats and another dog. Fortunately, those pets still had their cute, furry heads attached.…

Charleston, WV — The handsome devil to the left is 19-year-old Mark Thompson – he apparently got high on bath salts over the weekend and abducted his neighbor’s pet pygmy goat. And then it got weird….
Lisa Powers told police she bought the goat for her 4-year-old grandson on Friday. “The baby just loved him,” she said. Early Monday morning, Powers’ nephew, Joshua Pollis, got a call from one of Thompson’s neighbors. The goat, Bailey, had been goatnapped.
“They told him that my goat was wandering around in Mark’s house and he’d better come and get it,” Powers said. “They called my nephew because he’d been there before.”
Pollis and two unidentified women headed over to Thompson’s to retrieve the goat. As they approached Thompson’s bedroom, he called out to them. “Don’t come in,” he said. “I’m naked.” Undaunted, the trio continued toward the bedroom.
“They opened the door and he was standing there with his pants down. He had on women’s clothing (bra and panties) and the goat was dead and there was blood everywhere,” said Powers.…

Fontana, CA — According to police, Victor Lopez, 38, along with his four children, ages 6 to 16, owned a two-pound Yorkie named Woody. I say “owned” in the past tense because Woody is now dead courtesy of Lopez.
Police report that, on Sunday morning, Woody made the fatal mistake of peeing on the carpet. Lopez’ response was to punt the Yorkie – in full view of all four children – out the back door. The Yorkie flew about 15 feet, landing on a concrete slab. Family members reportedly told police that the dog did not move after hitting the concrete. Woody later died of apparent head trauma.
According to family members, this wasn’t the first time Lopez had kicked the dog in anger. Arrested on suspicion of felony animal cruelty, Lopez was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
Is it just me, or does the Yorkie punter looks like Antonio Banderas?…

April 29, 2011 at 11:49 am by Jaded
Pasadena, CA — Young Song, a 40-year-old animator with DreamWorks Studios, is being held on animal cruelty charges after dishing out what the Humane Society is calling one of the most brutal cases of animal abuse they have ever seen.
Song, whose credits include Shark Tale, Bee Movie, Flushed Away, Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar 2, reportedly scaled a neighbor’s fence on April 20 and shot their muzzled 1-year-old German Shepherd puppy with a pellet gun before chasing it around the yard and beating it to death with a hammer. Police say the entire incident was captured on surveillance video.
“When our officers first viewed the videotape, one of our officers had tears in his eyes. He’d never seen anything like this before,” said Steve McNall, head of the Pasadena Humane Society and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. “In my 31 years at this animal shelter I’ve never seen anything like this.”
The surveillance video reportedly shows Song dragging the dog’s bloodied and motionless body from it’s owner’s yard…it hasn’t been seen since.…

April 28, 2011 at 10:48 am by Morbid
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Dillon Pearce isn’t making too many friend at the moment after he was charged with intentionally running over some ducklings in a McDonald’s parking lot with his Hummer.
Police said the 19-year-old was waiting to pick up his food from the drive-through window when one of the passengers in his Hummer got out and tried to pick up a duckling that was walking in the parking lot with its mother.
Employees a the McDonald’s say that they ducks nest at the restaurant every year and are welcome visitors. I bet they wouldn’t say that if they had the geese that nest in our parking lot at work every year. Damn things are nasty creatures.
Anyway, the employees told the idiot to stop trying to pickup the duckling so Pearce left and parked in an adjacent lot. He then drove back into the McDonald’s parking lot and ran over the mother duck and her ducklings, killing four of them. Employees called police and Pearce was arrested at a nearby gas station.…

SANTA ROSA, CA – Look. it’s a slow day so I’m going to just throw a couple stories out there starting with five boys who are facing charges of vandalism and animal abuse after they broke into a school.
The kids got inside a mobile classroom at Northwest Prep and turned over a refrigerator, broke windows, tagged the outside of the classroom with gang graffiti, tore up the school’s vegetable garden and tortured a pet hamster to death.
“It was bad. They did three different cruel things to it,” Sgt. Mike Raasch said. Of course I want to know what the hell they did to it, but no one is reporting on what these three cruel things were. They got busted after a woman playing volleyball at the school heard glass breaking and watched the boys run from the unit when she went to go investigate. She was able to identify them to police.
Two 11-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and released to their mothers, while two 13-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy were arrested for burglary and vandalism and booked into juvenile hall.…
Continue ReadingInvestigation: Teenager Beats Puppy To Death With A Shovel In Front Of Owner
April 27, 2011 at 3:41 am by kniption
Trenton, NJ — The dog pictured is a Maltese/Yorkie mix puppy. As is well known, Maltese/Yorkies were originally bred by the warriors of Sparta for their utter depravity and blood lust. Particularly vicious when young, the puppies were used later as guard dogs in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany and Bosnia-Herzegovina. It is said that they can smell both blood and fear.
Knowing this animal to be the satan-incarnate that it is makes more understandable the allegations that Tiraya Green’s teenage neighbor beat her Maltese/Yorkie mix puppy to death.
According to Green, 9-month old “Thunda,” a Maltese/Yorkie mix like that shown, got away from her on his leash and ran toward a teenage neighbor boy while walking home a couple weekends ago.
“He ran away and up to the neighbor,” said Green. “I yelled before the dog got to the neighbor, but the puppy was just playing.”
It was at that point, according to Green, that the teenager summoned the courage of greek gods to beat the Maltese/Yorkie devil-spawn to death with a shovel.…

April 18, 2011 at 9:58 am by kniption
BENBROOK, Texas –Two baseball players at Western Hills High School are being charged with cruelty to livestock animals after being accused of killing baby chickens as part of a superstitious sacrifice.
According to reports, a baby chick was found decapitated in March behind the school’s baseball fields. Another chicken was also found decapitated the following day. Police said superstition about a slump in baseball performance could have played a part.
Western Hills High School baseball coach Bobby McIntire said that “baseball is very superstitious” and that the players possibly got the idea from sports movies. In the movies “Bull Durham” and “Major League,” chicken sacrifices are used to help break players out of slumps.
Benbrook police Sgt. John Van Ness says that the charges are a felony punishable by 180 days to two years in jail and can include a fine up to $10,000. Police say the two students are cooperating in the investigation.
The two players, ages 15 and 16, were kicked off the team for the rest of the season.…

April 14, 2011 at 9:16 am by kniption
OKLAHOMA CITY – Charges of animal cruelty have been filed against 20-year-old Angelina Barnes in the Oklahoma County district court after authorities say she mutilated the 15-year-old family cat.
Barnes’ relative arrived at their Oklahoma City home in March to total darkness. ”There were things done to the house like covering light switches with duct tape so she wouldn’t be able to turn on the light,” OKC MSgt. Gary Knight said.
Barnes was found in an outfit she planned to wear to the Lady Gaga concert; a long rain coat and streaks of what turned out to be cat blood on her face, according to the court affidavit.
Barnes’ relative “became very afraid that the suspect was going to try to do harm to her,” MSgt. Knight said. The police officer reported Barnes asked her step-aunt for help and was taken to a hospital. There, she “pulled a jagged piece of glass from her purse and said she was going to hurt the male intake nurse,” the officer reported.
Back at the scene, investigators found purple hair dye and blood all over the bathroom along with the dead cat.…

April 12, 2011 at 10:45 am by Morbid
HOMESTEAD, FL -- Here’s a story out of Florida that should get some of you animal lover’s blood boiling because I’m not a big animal lover and it pissed me off. A man is facing animal cruelty charges after he hanged two dogs from a tree in his backyard like Christmas ornaments. One of them, a Doberman, died as a result.
Patty Rhodes’ son heard dogs whining from the house next door when he witnessed the horrific sight of two dogs strung up to a tree in a fashion that left them without the ability to do anything but stand there. “Whatever they were tied with was so tight, was around their neck so tight, if they tried to sit down, if they tried to lay down, they were actually hanging themselves.”
Neighbors began screaming at 49-year-old Jorge Guzman-Zubiaur to cut down the Dalmatian that was in distress and the Doberman that had gone gone limp. Guzman-Zubiaur un-tied dogs and tried to leave, but Patty blocked him in his driveway with her car and called police.…

April 12, 2011 at 2:09 am by kniption
Sacramento, CA — According to police, an intoxicated Sacramento man tried attacking his pet pit bull with a hammer Saturday, but smashed his friend’s face instead. Police arrested Theodore Saunders, 50, and charged him with felonious assault, animal cruelty, and mayhem for injuring his friend and dog.
Sgt. Norm Leong said the incident started when Saunders and his friend were drinking large quantities of alcohol at a residence. Saunders, for whatever reason, reportedly unleashed a barrage of punches against the pit bull. The assault escalated after Saunders armed himself with a hammer and began swinging it at the dog, while his friend sat nearby. Leong said one of Saunders’ hammer swings struck his friend near the right eye, causing serious damage.
In a jailhouse interview, Theodore Saunders denied hitting his friend or going after his own pit bull Lucy. He insists that the dog started it.
“(My dog) just flipped out and bit me and then I tried to show the dog out the house. Then I just picked up, I don’t know what it was, I just picked up whatever I picked up to get her out of the house,” Saunders said.…

Violet, LA – Police arrested 29-year-old Ralph Topey last week after he admitted to beating and stabbing his pit bull because the animal made a mess in his bedroom.
Police say that after knocking back a few alcoholic beverages last Tuesday, Topey returned home to find the mess in his bedroom and went all berserko on his dog.
One of Topey’s relatives told police she saw him walk out of his room “in an angry manner,” complaining that the dog had befouled his room. The woman then spotted blood and followed the trail into the bathroom, where she found the dog covered in blood. The woman called another relative who retrieved the dog and took it to an emergency clinic for treatment.
Deputies were called to the residence the next day, and in an interview with Topey, learned that he had beat the snot out of the animal with a baseball bat before plunging a 4-foot sword into it’s throat. He didn’t just stab him a little bit either…police say Topey’s sword went completely through the dog’s throat, exiting on the other side.…

Lehigh Acres, FL — 52-year-old Cathy Garrison was arrested Monday and booked on charges of felony animal cruelty after police say she threw her boyfriend’s puppy off a second-story balcony.
After hearing a loud yelp and the sound of a door slamming, Garrison’s boyfriend, Aaron Reynaert, found the 3-month-old cute-as-hell Catahoula lying in the front yard with a compound fracture to the left femur. Reynaert says the bone was actually protruding from the dog’s skin.
When confronted, Garrison refused to talk to her man, but later told investigators with Animal Services that she was tired of the dog pissing on the carpet.
“First off, it’s not her house. It’s not her carpeting,” said Aaron brother, Ben Reynaert. A-fuckin-men. Ben accompanied his brother to the vet’s office where both were told that extensive, expensive, surgery was necessary. After learning the cost would be somewhere in the $2,000-$3,000 range, both men then decided to have the puppy euthanized. “It’s a lot of hurt to my brother, I know – and great expense too,” said Ben.…

OTTUMWA, Iowa – Police have arrested a self-described animal activist after a neighbor videotaped her using a club to beat the crap out of a dog.
Officers said 41-year-old Noelle Stanbridge (Facebook) is facing one count of cruelty to animals after they received a videotape of her disciplining a dog in her backyard (watch some of it here). For those who cannot see it, the video shows Stanbridge beating on a dog with a club, and dragging it around the yard by the legs. But even with the tape, it’s doubtful she will face any serious charges.
“Unfortunately, with our state laws, if you beat your own dog and it does not suffer serious injuries, it’s just a simple misdemeanor,” Ottumwa police Chief Jim Clark said. “It appeared that she was going beyond disciplining the animals and actually abusing them.” Clark added that Stanbridge has been vocal on her displeasure of how their department handles stray dogs.
“We put them down after seven days, which is very common around the state.…

March 12, 2011 at 12:11 am by Lizard
NEW CUMBERLAND, WV - A title that would do this one justice would read more like a paragraph. What we seem to have here is a 19-year-old convicted felon, on house arrest, who was arrested Wednesday night and faces a whole slew of charges related to what he’s been up to in the last month or so. This includes holding his ex-girlfriend captive, responding to classified ads offering dogs, and then torturing and killing those dogs (most of which were puppies) while making the ex watch. And did I mention he made her clean up after these dog-killing sessions?
Jeffery Nally, Jr. was taken into custody following a call made to state police by the ex-girlfriend’s mother about the young woman being held against her will by Nally. According to the mother, Nally said he would kill any officer who showed up at the residence, as well as himself and his ex. (The statement about killing officers may be what led to the arrest being conducted as a joint effort by the county’s version of a SWAT team and the West Virginia State Police.…

March 10, 2011 at 11:44 am by Morbid
BROOKLYN – A teen has been charged with one felony count of animal cruelty after getting into an argument with her older brother, and then brutally killing his pet hamster, Sweetie.
Monique Smith, 19, came home to her apartment to find that her pet hamster, Princess Stephania, was dead. She accused her 25-year-old brother, Aaron, of killing her pet by kicking an exercise ball Princess Stephania had been inside of.
In retaliation, she grabbed her brother’s hamster, Sweetie, and spiked it into the ground. Then she “attempted to pull the hamster’s whiskers out and then crushed the hamster with her hand” in front of three of her younger siblings, according to court papers. She then tossed Sweetie out of the house.
She was arrested after her father contacted the America Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, according to the society’s assistant director Joe Pentangelo.
“Even though the hamster is much smaller than other household pets the hamster was precious to the children who viewed the hamster as their pet,” Pentangelo told 1010 WINS.…

OAKLAND PARK, FL. — Tomas Bautista was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting his roommate’s dog… Not just any dog, but a little Chihuahua mix named Mimi.
When the dog’s owner, Clemente Velasquez, arrived home Thursday night, he told police he found Bautista drunk inside the home they shared. He told Bautista to go to bed, but Bautista instead chose to go outside with the tog in tow.
Not long after the drunk went outside, Velasquez heard a yelp from little Mimi, at which point he grabbed a flashlight and ran outside. He said he found Bautista passed out with his pants down and a bleeding Mimi running from the scene. Velasquez notified authorities and took Mimi to the animal hospital. Bautista reportedly told detectives he used his finger to penetrate the dog. It takes a small man to sexually assault a Chihuahua.
40-year-old Tomas Bautista was taken into custody Thursday evening on one count of cruelty to an animal, a third-degree felony, said Dani Moschella, sheriff’s spokeswoman. Bond was set at $2,500.…
