FOSTERS, AL – Police say 19-year-old Marissa Williams asked a boy she met on Facebook to kill her aunt and uncle, not realizing the boy was actually her aunt who’d created the profile to spy on her.
According to court records, Williams’ aunt created the fake profile after Williams blocked her on Facebook. The teen did not like the fact that her aunt could see her online activities, activities that included asking random men she met to come to her aunt’s house.
To continue keeping tabs on her niece, the woman created a fake Facebook profile – Tre ‘Topdog’ Ellis – so that she could friend her and see what she was up to online. On the very first day that Williams interacted with Ellis, she asked him to come over and get drunk before offering up her poonani in exchange for a paid cell phone bill.
She later told Ellis she hated her family and wanted him to kidnap her. As the conversations continued, this plan got more detailed and included Ellis shooting her aunt and her aunt’s fiance in the bedroom, then shooting her cousin and the family dog on the way out.…Continue Reading
VALLEY GRANDE, AL - The couple who posted pictures on Facebook of their puppy hanging from the ceiling have been charged with animal cruelty.
Last November, 26-year-old Caroline Dunnam and 23-year-old Andrew Parrish posted a picture of a two-month-old puppy hanging from the ceiling by its neck with the caption: “My poor baby.” As you might expect, people were not too happy with the picture, but Dunnam said she didn’t give a shit what people thought about hanging a puppy by the neck with a rope.
She’s may be regretting it now, especially after the picture went viral and someone tipped off police to the Facebook post. The mixed-breed puppy was removed from the home and the couple have now been charged with animal cruelty.
“They decided that they were going to hang a dog from the ceiling by its neck. The poor dog was hanging from the ceiling with some kind of rope around its neck,” said District Attorney Michael Jackson. “What their motivation was, we don’t know at this point.…Continue Reading
This story is as sordid as it is unbelievable, if the entirety of the allegations are true. It’s a bit confusing, with a lot of characters, so I will start at the beginning. Brittney Wood was last seen on May 31, 2012 after leaving her home to visit her uncle, Donnie Holland. Supposedly, Brittney wanted to talk to her uncle about some sex abuse allegations. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Two days after being seen in a car with Brittney, Donnie committed suicide.
However, police were had already investigating Brittney’s family a month prior. That’s when Brittney’s uncle, Randall Scott Wood, contacted police to report some family sex abuse. Police say Brittney exchanged messages over Facebook with one of the alleged victims, Donnie’s 13-year-old daughter. The girl claims she was raped by her father along with two of Brittney’s uncles - Randall Scott Wood and Dustin Kent.…Continue Reading
HOOVER, AL – Hoover detectives say they arrested 82-year-old Sue Hutchison for trying to arrange for three of her relatives to be killed.
Police were first contacted on April 15th, and information was provided that suggested Hutchison was attempting to hire a hitman to off three of her relatives, allegedly over concerns about who might inherit her husband’s estate. Hutchison set up three meetings with a man she believed was a middle-man who knew a 3rd party who was willing and capable of carrying out the murders.
During one of the meetings, Hutchison insisted that they not use the word “killed” but instead should refer to what she wanted done as “eliminated”. Probably after scratching ‘iced’ and ‘whacked’ off her list as being too Sopranos. At two of the alleged meetings, money exchanged hands, along with some dry skin. On April 18th, Hutchison was taken into custody in the Lee Branch shopping center parking lot.
When interviewed, the old biddy admitted to detectives to orchestrating the plot. She believed the murders would be carried out on Wednesday night, and told police that she’d watched the local news Thursday morning to see if there was a story about the murders.…Continue Reading
BIRMINGHAM, AL – On Friday afternoon, 10-year-old Luke Bresette was killed at the Birmingham airport after a 300-plus pound flight status board fell on top of him and his family.
The freak accident happened in a newly refurbished section of the airport that just opened last week. In a pre-security area of the airport, a flight information panel fell on top of Heather Bresette and three of her children. The family of seven had been on their way to Kansas after a week long vacation in Florida.
It took approximately half-a-dozen people to lift the sign off the Bressetes, and about a dozen to keep it off of the family while emergency personnel administered aid. They were all rushed to the hospital, but Luke Bresette would be pronounced dead later that day.
Luke’s 5-year-old brother, Tyler, suffered a concussion. Luke’s 8-year-old brother, Sam, suffered a broken leg and nose. Heather suffered broken ankles and a crushed pelvis and is still in intensive care and unconscious.
If a story about a 10-year-old boy dying in an airport after vacationing with his family wasn’t bad enough, get this: According to the family’s priest, Heather doesn’t know about Luke.…Continue Reading
This here is 41-year-old Barry Scott Vick. Yes, 41… I didn’t stutter. This is what good, clean living gets ya.
Anyway, he’s currently being held on charges of domestic violence after allegedly slashing a younger relative with a razor blade.
According to police, there was some sort of altercation (duh) between Vick and Joshua Henderson, 30. No word on what the two were arguing about, but I’m guessing Henderson was trip-trapping the fuck out of Vick’s bridge. Or something.
At some point during that altercation, Vick apparently pulled a blade and got all slashy, cutting Henderson’s chest.
Both men were treated and the scene and transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Henderson was released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
Vick is being held without bond at the Shelby County Jail.
Oh, hey, guess what! We have a Bizarre Mugshot Photo thread in the forums!…Continue Reading
BALDWIN COUNTY, AL – Three teenagers in Alabama have been formally indicted on murder charges after one of their accomplices was accidentally shot and killed.
Three men, William “Nick” Hearn, Lonnie Davison, and Larry Dean Duncan, Jr., were camping with their families on Gravine Island when they heard someone breaking into nearby fishing cabins in the early morning hours on April 15. The men climbed into a boat and went to investigate, encountering Scott Byrd and Dylan Tyree, both 18, burglarizing a home owned by a man the men knew. The two teens were part of a foursome out burglarizing summer cabins.
When the two teens took off running, Hearn fired a warning shot into the ground away from the teens, as did Duncan. One of these shots accidentally struck 17-year-old Summer Moody in the head as she hid behind a bush with 18-year-old Daniel Parnell. Once the men realized Summer had been shot, the men called 911, administered aid, and rushed her to a nearby landing. Summer would live for 10 days before dying from her injuries.…Continue Reading
MOBILE, AL – A teen in Alabama has been accused of beating the crap out of his sister’s girlfriend after Thanksgiving dinner, because he did not approve of their relationship.
Even though 23-year-old Mallory Owens has had a rocky relationship with her girlfriend’s family, she told her mother they were trying to be nice and had invited her over to eat Thanksgiving dinner.
Alley Hawkins’s family were trying to accept her year long, homosexual relationship with Owens, but her brother wasn’t having it. Travis Hawkins Jr. had already assaulted Owens once before, when he knocked her upside the head with a pipe wrench. She was injured, but no charges were ever filed.
This latest run-in with Hawkins Jr. ended with Owens looking like she stopped a car with her face. It happened after dinner, just as Owens was leaving the family’s mobile home. That’s when her family says she was blindsided by Hawkins Jr., who delivered a series of punches to Owens’ face.
These punches resulted in Owens being taken to the hospital suffering from multiple skull fractures and crushed facial bones. …Continue Reading

The dark gray or green Honda Civic or Altima with dark, tinted windows drove down Racine Avenue Saturday afternoon and almost hit Wendy Fisher’s dog as they sped past her home. Angry, Fisher yelled at the driver who stopped the car about 30 yards away.
Fisher’s teen daughter, who witnessed the entire incident, say that at that point a black man with short hair got out of the car and someone opened fire on her mother, striking her several times in the chest.
She isn’t sure if the man who got out of the car was the shooter or one of the two or three men inside the vehicle. The man got back in the car and fled the scene, leaving Fisher to die. She was still conscious after being shot, but was in shock. Fisher was rushed to the hospital but would die from her injuries.…Continue Reading

Katelynn Arnold’s aunt became concerned when she did not return home from a bicycle ride around the neighborhood on Thursday and started looking for her. She did not find her with any of the friends she normally played with and returned home to find the girl in the backyard, hanged from a tree with an old tire swing rope.
Rescuers removed the girl from the tree and rushed her to the hospital where she would be pronounced dead. An autopsy would show cause of death to be ligature strangulation. Investigators would immediately call the death “very suspicious” but would not say why. That is until early the next day when they arrested Katelynn’s 14-year-old half-brother and charged him with murder.
The teen has admitted to police that he killed the girl by hanging her from the tree and has provided them with a motive that they have yet to reveal to the public.…Continue Reading
GADSDEN, ALA. – The grandmother and step-mom of 9-year-old Savannah Hardin are currently in jail, both accused of forcing the girl to run for three hours straight until she had a seizure and later died.
According to police, 46-year-old Joyce Hardin Garrard and 27-year-old Jessica Mae Hardin, were punishing the girl for eating candy bars and then lying about it. They forced her to run around their double-wide trailer until she eventually collapsed. Her mother called 911 but Savannah would die days later at the hospital.
Her father was working overseas when he found out that his daughter was in the hospital and took eight flights to be with her. Four hours later, Savannah would be taken off the ventilator.
A state pathologist ruled Savannah’s death a homicide after finding she was extremely dehydrated and had a very low sodium level at the time of her death, suffering from a condition common in marathon runners.
“Basically she was caused to undergo physical exertion to the point in time where she just got dehydrated and her electrolyte levels got to the point where she couldn’t survive life,” Etowah County District Attorney Jimmie Harp said.…Continue Reading
Wetumpka, AL - Edward Lee Bodkin, 68, attracted the attention of Massachusetts prison officials after sending a 7-page letter to an inmate at a facility for sexual offenders. In it, Bodkin described a litany of attacks on children, including an alleged encounter of a sexual nature he had with a month-and-a-half-old infant. Elmore County Chief Investigator R.T. Ward. described the letter as “horrendous.”
“We learned of him after we were contacted by a representative from the Massachusetts Treatment Center for Sexually Dangerous Persons where one of the inmates was receiving sexually explicit mail from (Bodkin),” said Ward.
According to Ward, investigators and deputies found about 100 VHS video tapes and 500 DVDs containing pornographic material. Sheriff Bill Franklin said that even seasoned investigators found the case disturbing.

ALABASTER, Ala. – A man has admitted to molesting over 20 girls during his 25-year career as an Alabama schoolteacher.
Police charged 49-year-old Daniel Montague Acker Jr. with three counts of sexual abuse after a girl, aged 12 0r 13, went to police to report that Acker had molested her back in 2009. Police believe some of the molestation happened in the classroom but they are not sure if any of the other students present witnessed it or knew exactly what was happening if they did.
Acker would admit to investigators that he molested the girl and go on to admit that he had also molested up to 20 other girls who police believe were either students of Acker’s or students at the schools he has taught at.
This isn’t the first time Acker has been accused of inappropriate behavior with children. Back in 1992, Acker was charged with child abuse but those charges were dropped when a grand jury refused to indict.
Because of this, the county school board reinstated him as a teacher where he worked as a fourth grade teacher for 25 years, drove a school bus for 15 years and since his 2009 retirement, a substitute bus driver… allegedly molesting little girls the entire time.…Continue Reading
Bayou La Batre, AL - What should have been a routine residency check on a registered sex offender turned into six arrests after police discovered a methamphetamine lab.
Anthony Higgins Jr., whose chin is doing a poor impersonation of my head for who-the-hell-knows-why, was arrested and convicted in 1998 on sexual abuse charges. Ever since, he’s been a registered sex offender, which means that law enforcement have to keep tabs on him and The Crimson Tickler.
In order to verify information that Higgins was staying at the residence, police knocked on a door on County Road in Coden. When the door was opened, they noticed materials used in the manufacture of meth sitting in plain sight. They cuffed the 44 year-old Higgins, his 27 year-old girlfriend Amy Nelson, 23 year-old Thricia Gollott (who was arrested last year in a meth bust) and 51 year-old Luther Stewart on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree manufacturing a controlled substance.

Joppa, AL — Saturday night, authorities visited a home around 7PM to investigate a man on top of the roof. When they arrived, several individuals reportedly ran from the residence. As most cops will tell you, this is never a good sign…
Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin said that deputies in a foot chase with those who scattered soon apprehended Melisa Brown Sullivan, 45, who had been running with an active red phosphorus meth lab inside her backpack – along with a handgun.
“The red phosphorus method is highly volatile and can kill people if it explodes,” Sheriff Franklin said.
While those fleeing were being apprehended, the Morgan County Drug Task Force agents inspected the home along with Morgan County Sheriff’s police. Inside they found: components of a meth lab; marijuana plants; Sullivan’s daughter, Anna Sullivan, 21; Sullivan’s 5-week-old grandchild; …and a 40lb. military-grade explosive device.
“The bomb technician on the scene said the bomb could have leveled the house and killed anyone within 300 feet of it,” Franklin said.…Continue Reading

Irvington, AL - Two arrest warrants were issued after an argument over a paycheck escalated to a fight which led to a church pastor being tased and that assailant’s mother being stabbed in the arm.
The whole incident took place inside the New Welcome Baptist Church on Sunday. Simone Moore, a self-described R&B artist who also made an unsuccessful run for the US Senate some years back, was working as the church’s minister of music.
On Sunday, he received his final paycheck and was informed by Pastor Daryl Riley that his services were no longer needed . Moore took issue with the amount of the check, and the argument soon escalated to violence. Moore allegedly used a taser on Pastor Riley.
The fun didn’t stop there, though. Several other people joined the scuffle, including Moore’s mother. Agolia Moore was apparently stabbed in arm during the fray by church deacon Harvey Hunt.
The wound required 19 stitches according to deputies. Both Moore and Hunt have warrants issued in their name as a result of the incident.…Continue Reading

Sunday was picture day for a group of little leaguers at Rogersville Recreational Park. About 70 people, including 20 children, were in attendance. This included 43-year-old Malana White, who was there with her child plus her husband’s three children.
Witnesses say that White had been arguing with 30-year-old Christy Tucker, her husband’s ex-wife, for about an hour. The disagreement supposedly started over who was going to pay for the photos and who would get what photos. This moved in to when Tucker would have her three children, all under the age of 10, returned back to her.
Things then escalated in the parking lot when Tucker loaded her three children in her car. White told Tucker she and the kid’s father were to have them until 6 p.m. and immediately called police to report her children were being stole from her. But before officers could respond to the scene, White took matters into her own hands.…Continue Reading
