Cobb County, GA – A 13-year-old girl missing for a month was found hiding in the room of a 21-year-old man she’d met over the Internet.
Cobb County College student Joshua Measroach, 21, apparently used social media to convince a 13 year old girl to come with him after communicating online for three months. On May 2nd, Joshua drove the 50 mile distance to the girl’s Newton County home to pick her up and take her with him back to his room in Cobb County. The incident was initially thought to be a runaway situation as several of the girl’s personal effects were taken from her room.
The girl’s parents helped police with the investigation noting she was an avid user of social media websites. It’s undoubtedly through her online activities that police were able to find the girl holed up with Joshua Measroach. It’s there the girl and Joshua had engaged in various sexual acts during her month-long stay. It’s unclear whether she was being held against her will, but considering she went willingly with him, I have a feeling she was there on her own accord – at least initially.…Continue Reading
DAYTON, IA – The search for 15-year-old Kathlynn Shepard is still ongoing after she and a 12-year-old girl were both abducted by 42-year-old Michael Klunder, a registered sex offender who committed suicide hours after the younger girl escaped.
Authorities say Klunder abducted the two girls after they got off a school bus on Monday, luring the girls into his truck with the promise of them making money cutting grass. He then took the girls to a hog confinement farm about 15 miles south of Dayton.
There’s not a lot of details regarding what happened once the girls were at the farm, but the younger girl somehow managed to escape Klunder and make a run for it. She ended up at a neighboring farm where two men found the girl as she was crawling to them underneath a wire fence.
She was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, but had no shoes. She also had a thick zip tie cable around one of her wrists that one of the men cut free before grabbing a gun and running towards the hog confinement facility.…Continue Reading
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Would-be kidnapper David Jesus Hernandez is in custody after a New Mexico mother, alerted by a group of teenagers that he’d just taken her 4-year-old daughter, chased the man down, ramming his vehicle with her own.
The woman, who wasn’t identified, apparently didn’t know that the 31-year-old kidnapper had shoved the girl out of the car before the chase began.
“Albuquerque police Chief Ray Schultz said neighbors began yelling, which is what made the suspect push the child out of his car,” KOAT TV reported.
KQRE reported that the mother was in contact with Albuquerque police during the hot-civilian-pursuit, which started shortly after six p.m. on Indian School Rd, near the family’s apartment.
The chase lasted all the way through the North Valley and finished in the Southeast Heights, when the feisty mom went all Grand-Child-Theft-Auto on Hernandez, and slammed her car into his. Hernandez abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot.
Police launched a manhunt which included more than two dozen officers going door-to-door in efforts to locate Hernandez, as well as a helicopter equipped with heat-seeking capabilities.…Continue Reading
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA – Police in Sacramento are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who grabbed a 7-year-old girl walking with her mother and threw her in the trunk of a car before driving off.
According to reports, the girl was walking with her mother Saturday afternoon when a man pulled up to them in a dark green or blue four-door Sedan with tinted windows. He got out of his car, snatched the girl in broad daylight, then tossed her in the trunk before speeding off. Luckily, the girl was able to escape because when the man tried shutting the trunk, her foot kept the lid from closing all the way.
Christina Covey said she heard tires screeching and ran out of her house to see what was going on. She saw the girl laying on the ground after she had tumbled out of the trunk of the suspect’s car, which was still nearby. The girl got up and ran to Covey and her husband telling them, “he stole me; he stole me.”
By this time, the man had already taken off in his car and rounded a corner.…Continue Reading
NORTON SHORES, MI – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding 25-year-old Jessica Heeringa, an Exxon Mobil gas station attendant believed to have been abducted from her job.
Heeringa made her last sale at 11 p.m. Friday night, but 15 minutes later a concerned customer called police to report there were no employee at the open gas station.
According to Heeringa’s mother, her daughter’s purse and keys were found in the store and their was evidence she had been preparing to close up the store.
“She was going to get out in 15 minutes,” Shelly Heeringa, Jessica’s mother, told ABC News. “In 15 minutes that store would’ve been closed and she would’ve been on her way home.”
Norton Shores Police Chief Daniel Shaw said it does not appear robbery was the motive, as the store’s cash drawer was left untouched.
There are no surveillance cameras at the gas station, which I bet won’t be the case for much longer, so police are asking for the public’s help.
Norton Shores Police Department have received one tip that has investigators searching for a silver minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town & Country, that was last seen in the area prior to Heeringa’s disappearance.…Continue Reading
Greenville, TX – The body found in a trunk on the side of a Texas highway has been identified as Alicia Moore, the 16-year-old who disappeared after getting off her school bus last week.
Surveillance camera footage captured Moore as she exited her school bus at 3:25 p.m. Friday, one block from her home. Her family contacted police that night, but they said that Moore was considered a runaway and to wait until Monday. An Amber Alert was (rightfully) not issued, as it did not fit the criteria, and a press release would not be issued about Moore until Monday.
With no other recourse, Moore’s family turned to social networks to get the word out and handed out fliers. On Tuesday, a body was discovered 40 miles away inside a furniture trunk alongside a rural stretch of Texas highway. That body would later be identified as Alicia Moore’s. An official cause of death has not been released, but the case is being treated as a homicide.
During a press conference yesterday, Greenville Police Chief Dan Busken said there was trauma to the body. ”We have a lot of work ahead of us with this investigation,” Busken said.…Continue Reading
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — A former Westminster police detective has killed himself just hours before he was to be sentenced after being found guilty of raping a 24-year-old woman he abducted from a mall.
Back in 2010, the victim was leaving her cocktail waitress job at Dave & Buster’s in the Ontario Mills Mall, when 33-year-old Anthony Nicholas Orban forced her at gunpoint to drive to a strip mall in Fontana. There he proceeded to beat and sexually assault the woman for more than an hour. Luckily, she was able to escape out of an unlocked door of her SUV and Orban fled the scene.
It didn’t take police long to identify Orban as a suspect as his dumbass left his registered service revolver in the victim’s vehicle. He was arrested, charged, and kicked off the force. He pleaded not guilty and insulted a jury’s intelligence by claiming he was insane at the time of the attack.
He said that a dose of the drug Zoloft had triggered hallucinations and suicidal and homicidal fantasies days before the rape and that since he does not recall committing the crime, he should not be held accountable for his actions.…Continue Reading

Sigg is expected to be charged with the attempted abduction last year as well as two counts of murder in the first degree, second-degree kidnapping charge, among others. The Ridgeway family were notified of the arrest.

SANTA ANA, CA — Police have arrested a 425 pound man after they say he grabbed a 10-year-old boy on his way to soccer practice, and started smelling him.
The incident happened Thursday evening when a 10-year-old boy was walking to a local park with his 19-year-old cousin. When they reached the 500 block of E. Central, 55-year-old Victor Joseph Espinoza lured the boy over to him.
Once the boy got close enough, Espinoza grabbed him and would not let go. The boy was finally able to pull free and ran to the park to notify his soccer coach what had happened.
“The little boy cam crying at me, saying that man wanted to take him,” the coach said. “He said that he grabbed him and he started smelling him.”
Espinoza was still at the front of the park when the coach saw him and confronted him.
“He goes, ‘Oh, I’m leaving, I’m leaving,’ and I said, ‘No, you’re not leaving, we’re going to wait for the cops. Because you did something wrong to that little boy.’ He tried to leave and that’s when I tackled him down.…Continue Reading
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Terry Lee Black, the 41-year-old man accused of kidnapping, raping and murdering 6-year-old Sierra Newbold, made his first court appearance today.
For those of you who missed the story, Sierra was reported missing by her mother on the morning of June 26 after she woke up to find that her daughter was not in the house. Thirty minutes later, the little girl was found dead, floating face down in a nearby canal.
Autopsy reports would show that Sierra died from drowning, but that she had also been raped, strangled and beaten.
A video camera mounted on Newbold’s home captured a man entering through a sliding glass door at around 3:00 a.m. and leave moments later carrying something. Police would also find Sierra’s pink pajama bottoms and underwear in a burnt out field a short distance from Sierra’s home.
Three days later, Black was arrested shortly after robbing a Wells Fargo bank in West Jordan. He got caught after leaving the bank and returning to a Jeep he had stolen earlier.…Continue Reading
Warren, MI — A 22-year-old pregnant woman and her unborn child are lucky to be alive after the expectant mother survived being abducted, set on fire and then shot.
The woman, who is 9-months pregnant, told police that the incident started after seeing a movie with her baby’s father and dropping him off at his new girlfriend’s home.
After pulling into the garage and getting out of the car, the garage door unexpectedly closed and someone grabbed her by the throat, put a gun to her head and told her to get on the ground.
According to Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green, duct tape was placed over her mouth and wrapped around her hands and feet. She was then blindfolded, placed in the back of her car and driven to an alley in Detroit.
The woman said her kidnapper had a male voice and implied that this was happening because of her pregnancy. He asked how far along she was before she felt lighter fluid being poured over her. To her horror, the next thing she heard was a match being struck before she was set on fire.…Continue Reading
Sacramento, CA – Police in California have arrested a 17-year-old girl after they say she faked her own abduction last week.
Last Thursday, the family of Christina Almanza called police after they found her missing and had a voicemail from the teen stating she had been abducted and was being held hostage by several men. The family then began receiving a series of text messages from Almanza in which she informed them she was in a basement with two other girls, and didn’t know where she was. She also indicated that someone might have been killed.
A statewide Amber Alert was issued and a task force of police, deputies, FBI agents and U.S. Marshals were assembled who began searching for the girl, locating her on Friday afternoon. Police found her in a home of a man she had met online. She was unharmed, but the same cannot be said for the aggressive pit bull police shot when they entered the home.
Police questioned Almanza, the mother of a 2-year-old, who finally cracked and admitted the entire thing was a hoax.…Continue Reading
Carrollton, Texas — The child’s body found Sunday afternoon has been positively identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner as 10-year-old Jasmen Gonzalez, who went missing Saturday night.
Jasmen and her parents are from Oklahoma and were in Texas visiting relatives. On Saturday a party was held at the home where they were staying and Jasmen was reported missing shortly before midnight.
Initial reports stated the girl may have been sleepwalking and gotten lost in an unfamiliar neighborhood, but those reports were later dismissed with police saying the girl had been abducted.
Her body was found on Sunday afternoon, a few blocks from the home she vanished from. According to a police affidavit, there was no shirt on Jasmen’s body, and her pants and underwear were pulled down. The medical examiner reported Jasmen died from a stab wound to the chest.
Police have towed two cars from the apartment complex’s parking lot and say they are questioning 23-year-old Jose Concepcion Sifuentes, who attended the party held at the home where Jasmen and her parents were staying.…Continue Reading
Winnipeg, CA — Back in 2009, Jaded brought you the original story of Nikita Eaglestick, 21. I encourage you to read it, but I will summarize here.
On Aug. 31, 2009, Eaglestick had been out of jail just three days after having been charged with charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and 12 other charges related to an attack she had allegedly perpetrated on a woman using a screwdriver. Eagletrick was under court order to abstain from alcohol.
After admittedly drinking on that day, she headed to a Winnipeg house party where more alcohol would be served. It was… and she drank it.
According to court documents, at around 4:30AM, Eaglelick picked up 13-month-old Vanessa Houle – who was asleep on the couch – and took her outside. There, she started smashing the baby’s face against the sidewalk. She did not stop.
Thankfully, not long after a neighbor, Tyler Bilsborrow, stepped outside his family’s home for a cigarette when he heard what he described as “weird sounds, like screaming sounds.” Bilsborrow followed the sounds around the corner and saw Eaglehick beating a child.…Continue Reading
Dallas, TX – A Dallas man has been charged with abducting his two young sons and then drowning them in a creek.
Police say the children’s mother was walking 5-year-old Naim to school for his first day, along with his 3-year-old brother, Elijah, when their father, 32-year-old Naim Muhammad, drove up and forced all of them into his car while threatening them with a brick.
The couple have a history of domestic violence, but were separated. Relatives say they had recently been arguing over their children. The mother was able to jump out of the car when a constable drove up, but Muhammad jumped the curb and drove off.
Several hours later, authorities received a 911 call from a woman who said her son had drowned her grandchildren. Police would eventually find the two boys in the back of their father’s car parked in a parking lot. Muhammad had drowned both of them in a muddy creek.
“I think everyone’s hurt in this case,” said Deputy Chief Craig Miller. “I think officers that open up the trunk of a vehicle, the back hatch of a vehicle, and see a deceased three-year-old and a five-year-old, I think each one of us think about our own children, the vulnerableness of life.”
Muhammad was found by a SWAT team in a nearby creek and taken into custody. After his arrest, Muhammad told reporters, “I got something to say.…Continue Reading
A 6-year-old girl was on her way home after walking to pick up some tostadas from a neighbor when 29-year-old Phillip Garcia grabbed her and shoved her into his van.
Unfortunately for Garcia, and fortunately for the girl, Antonio Diaz Chacon witnessed the entire incident.
“The way he grabbed her and threw her into the van, I knew it wasn’t right,” said Chacon, who was in the area using a relatives washing machine after his had broken.
Chacon jumped in his car and began following Garcia while calling 911. Garcia would crash the van several times as Chacon chased him through the neighborhood, stopping only when he ran the van into a telephone pole a mile-and-a-half away from the girl’s home. When Garcia jumped out and fled on foot, Chacon took the girl out of the van and then took her home.…Continue Reading
DES MOINES, Iowa – A man was arrested after he tried to get a 13-year-old girl to come into an alley he was lurking in, but not before the teen’s mother got in a good punch to the pervert’s face.
Police say the girl was playing outside when she noticed a man staring at her from an alley. When he motioned for her to come over to him, the girl responded by telling her mother.
Pullen confronted the man and asked him why he was staring at the kids. He told her to take it easy, he just wanted to “marry the redhead.”
Pullen told him that the redhead was her daughter and that she was only 13. Harden stated he didn’t much care about that and asked for someone to sign her over to him so he could marry her.
Having already told Harden her daughter was a minor once with her mouth, Pullen told him a second time, accompanied with a fist to his face. That’s when the girl’s father and one of his friends chased Harding and also got in a few punches.…Continue Reading

Police say a 9-year-old boy was looking for his bike in a church parking lot a block from his home when 44-year-old Angela Charles, a woman the boy did not know, grabbed him by the arm. “You don’t have a mother, you have a brother waiting for you at the store,” Charles allegedly informed the boy. She then forced the crying boy to walk for approximately ½ mile to a store while telling him that she was his new mother.
A police officer parked in a parking lot reported seeing the boy walking towards him crying hysterically. The boy told the officer what had happened and pointed out Charles, who was standing right outside of the Purple Store, probably swatting at invisible demons. At around the same time, a witness to the abduction had already informed the boy’s mother and she was in the process of looking for him when she saw him talking with the police officer.…Continue Reading
