When Keith Papini returned home from work on Wednesday he found that his wife, Sherri, and their two children were not home.
When she would not answer her cell phone and he learned their children had not been picked up from daycare, Keith used the Find My Iphone app to locate Sherri’s phone near the intersection of Old Oregon Trail and Sunrise Drive in Redding.
When he drove to the location he did not find his wife, but did find her phone with the ear-buds still plugged into the device.
“He found her phone close to the road,” said Sherri’s sister Shelia. “He called the authorities immediately.”
Investigators say that at this time they do not have any evidence pointing to an abduction, but aren’t ruling it out saying it’s still early in the investigation.
However, friends and family cannot think of any other scenario, describing Sherri as a dedicated mother who would have never left her children at daycare or intentionally disrupted their lives.…
ELKHART, IN – Two children are dead and their non-custodial mother has been arrested following an Amber Alert that ended with their dead bodies being found in the back seat of her car.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the two children, Liliana Hernandez, 6, and Rene Pasztor, 7, were abducted from their beds at their grandparent’s house around 6 a.m. Monday morning.
Ricky Green, the children’s grandfather, said the that their mother, 29-year-old Amber Pasztor, broke in through the front door after he had left for work and abducted the two children while his wife was sleeping in a back room. Pasztor left her 3-year-old at the home.
Green said the children were in school and had been extremely happy living with him. They had been in his custody for about a year due to their mother’s on-going drug issues.
An Amber Alert was issued within the hour but was called off at 6:15 p.m. that night after Pasztor approached an officer leaving the Elkhart Police Department and said there were two deceased individuals in the back of the car she was driving.…
For any of you who may have missed this story, Joughin was reported missing after going on a bike ride on July 19. Her bike would be found later that night in a cornfield, surrounded by trampled corn and evidence of a struggle.
Three days later, police would arrest 57-year-old James Worley in connection with her abduction. Worley was convicted of abduction in 1990 after he hit a female bicyclist with his truck, then hit her over the head before telling her to do what he said or he would kill her.
After forcing the woman into his truck, he managed to handcuff one of her wrists before she managed to escape. Worley would plead guilty to the abduction and serve about three years in prison before being paroled in 1993.
Hours after his arrest on Friday, police would find Joughin’s dead body miles from where her bike was found.…
HERNANDO, FL – If my stories don’t already have you afraid to take your eyes of your chirrun, here’s one where a man tried to drag a 13-year-old girl out of a Dollar Store but was stopped by the girl’s mother and an off-duty deputy who happened to be in the parking lot.
It happened on Tuesday morning when 30-year-old Craig Bonello decided to kidnap the girl from inside a Dollar General while she shopped with her mother.
As seen in the following surveillance video, the greasey bastard scopes out the pair for a bit before walking up and grabbing the girl by the arm. What follows is a terrifying tug-of-war between Bonello and the victim’s mother as he tries dragging the girl out of the store in full view of other shoppers.
The mother never gives up and manages to get Bonello to let go of her daughter. Bonello runs out of the store and into his car at the same time Deputy Jonathan Behnen pulled into the parking lot.…
According to Lovell’s parents, their daughter pushed a dresser against her bedroom door and climbed out a window last Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
Since she did not take the liver medication she has to take daily, it is assumed that Lovell believed she would be returning home before her family woke up.
Unfortunately, she never did and she never will.
On Saturday, her body was found 60 miles away in North Carolina. Before the day was over, police would arrest David Eisenhauer, an 18-year-old Virginia Tech student, and charged him with Lovell’s abduction and murder.
There hasn’t been a lot of details surrounding how investigators honed in on Eisenhauer, but police did say that Lovell and Eisenhauer “were acquainted” and that Eisenhauer “used this relationship to his to abduct the 13-year-old and then kill her.”
But Eisenhauer wasn’t the only Virginia Tech student police would arrest. They also apprehended Natalie Keepers, a 19-year-old freshman from Maryland.…
For those of you unaware of this case, the toddler disappeared from the Timber Creek Campground last July while camping with his family.
His parents, Deorr Kunz Sr. and Jessica Mitchell, thought the boy was being watched by his grandfather when they decided to do some exploring. When they returned and realized their son wasn’t with the rest of the family, the boy’s grandfather told them he thought he was with them.
After 30 minutes of searching, the family called police. What followed was an intensive search using police, search and rescue teams, dogs, people on horseback and atvs, and even a helicopter.
Approximately 150 people scoured a 2.5 mile radius surrounding the campground, sonar equipment was used to search a reservoir located a half a mile from where the boy was last seen, and a wolf’s den was even searched.
Absolutely no trace of Kunz has ever been found.…
HAMILTON, MA – Police have arrested 21-year-old Abigail Hanna, accusing her of kidnapping a 2-year-old girl she once cared for, then dumping her miles from home with a shaved head and suffering from cigarette burns.
I was waiting to report on this one because I wanted more information about the accused aside from where she went to school and who she is currently fucking. Turns out, Hanna may just be nuts.
At 7 a.m. Friday morning, the parents of 2-year-old Lyndon Albers called police to report her missing. They said they last saw their daughter about four hours earlier. Ground and air crews began searching the area for the girl, but it would be a couple driving eight miles away who would find Albers a few hours later.
Marge and Tom Crosby were driving down a rural road in Rowley when they saw something on the side of the road that they first thought was a doll. They turned around to check and found Albers sitting on a pile of leaves.…
LEADORE, ID — Deorr Kunz Jr., the 2-year-old boy who vanished from an Idaho campground four days ago, is still missing.
Last Friday, the toddler was with family at the Timber Creek Campground when his parents, Deorr Kunz Sr. and Jessica Mitchell, decided to some exploring on their own.
They had assumed the boy’s grandfather would watching him while they were gone, but when they returned they noticed their son wasn’t with the group. When they asked the boy’s grandfather about Deorr, he replied that he thought he’d went with them.
The family immediately began searching the area for the toddler before calling police about 30 minutes later. A search team was quickly formed and consisted of police, search and rescue teams, dogs, people on horseback and atvs, and even a helicopter.
Approximately 150 people scoured the campground, as well as a 2.5 mile radius surrounding the campground, but no trace of Kunz was found. This has lead some, including the boy’s parents, to believe the little boy was abducted.…
COLUMBUS, OH – On Thursday, 32-year-old Zachary Dunn was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the 2013 kidnapping, assault, and rape of six-year-old Macey Stewart. Apparently after raping her, Dunn left the child for dead.
The charges of which he was found guilty? Three counts of kidnapping with sexual motivation specifications, abduction, rape, two counts of gross sexual imposition, and felonious assault.
Stewart was reported missing at around 1:30 a.m. on July 26, 2013; at the time, she and a sibling were being watched by a 16-year-old friend of the family while the children’s father was out helping an older son with a tire.
A plethora of emergency and law enforcement personnel (including the canine variety) began a search for the girl but had no luck. However, at about 4:00 p.m. that day, she showed up naked, injured, and crying six miles from home in a homeowner’s back yard.
The homeowner recognized her and called 911, after which she was taken to a local hospital. Later that evening, police arrested Dunn.…
GARDENA, CA – A 2-year-old girl abducted near a car wash was found hours later, naked and in shock, after her abductor dropped her off in a parking lot.
The toddler was with her mother and 11-year-old sister at a coin-operated car wash Thursday afternoon when she wandered off. The girl’s mother called police after hearing her scream “Mommy,” then being unable to find her.
Within an hour police, residents, and volunteer workers were walking the streets and stopping passing cars in an effort to find the girl. She would be found two hours later, miles away, after witnesses watched someone in a white vehicle drop her off in a parking lot.
Claudia Robles spotted the girl who she says was “bare naked” and had scratches on her legs. Robles picked up the girl, covered her with a blanket and tried to comfort her as her boyfriend called police.
“Her face was like in shock,” Robles said. “She kept covering her eyes and would only respond to me.”
The girl was also afraid to go off with male police officers, said Robles.…
SPRAGUE, WA – Police are looking for a man whose toddler shopping was foiled after he tried abducting a young child and was chased down the street by the boy’s siblings.
On Sunday, Michael Wright dropped his three kids off at a babysitter’s house and went to work. At some point during the day, 10-year-old Brenden, 8-year-old Delicia and 22-month-old Owen were all playing unsupervised in a park near the babysitter’s house.
That’s where an unidentified man talked with them for a few minutes before snatching Owen out of a stroller and began running down the street. Surveillance cameras from city hall and a local grocery store captured the man running with Owen in his arms and his two siblings giving chase.
“This little girl come running around the corner screaming her head off,” said Dorothy Giddings, who sent her grandson and his friend after the man.
The kidnapper ended up dropping Owen in a vacant lot and disappeared. The suspect is described as about 30 years old, 6-foot to 6-foot-2, with a thin build, brown hair and a mustache.…
KNIGHTS LANDING, CA – The body of a 20-day-old infant was found dead in a swamp the day after his mother was found nearby claiming she and her infant had been kidnapped.
On Monday, the family of 26-year-old Samantha Green reported her and her son, Justice Rees, missing after they failed to show up to a family gathering on Saturday.
The following afternoon, a man heard Green’s cries for help near a swamp and called 911. She told the man she and her infant had been abducted in town and that the baby had frozen to death. The man said Green appeared dazed and confused, and did not know how she had got there, she knew her car was parked nearby.
Green was taken to the hospital and gave authorities limited information, but did provide them with the name and description of the man she claims abducted her and Justice. Authorities began searching for the infant immediately, finding his body the following morning in thick brush near the Ridge Cut Slough.…
According to police, the boy’s aunt, Denise Kroutil, asked co-worker Nathan Firoved to help her family teach her nephew a lesson. She and other relatives felt that the boy was “too nice to people” and felt the only way to fix that was to abduct and terrorize him.
Firoved agreed that was a great idea, as did Elizabeth Hupp, the boy’s mother, and the boy’s grandmother, Rose Brewer. So they all put their heads together and came up with a plan that they carried out on Monday as the boy was walking home from his school bus.
That’s when Firoved lured the boy into his truck and told him he would “never see his mommy again” and that he would be “nailed to the wall of a shed.” When the boy started to cry, Firoved showed the boy a gun and told him to stop crying or he would hurt him.…
SANTA CLARITA, CA — Ethan Odom was arrested Thursday night after the 37-year-old abducted a 3-year-old girl through her bedroom window and was tackled by the girl’s father.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Odom removed the screen from the little girl’s bedroom window, leaned in and told her to “come toward him.” After pulling her through the window Odom began running down the street.
Luckily, the girl’s father and uncle heard a commotion and quickly found the girl was missing. They began chasing Odom down the street and quickly caught up to him.
“I actually … ran behind him,” said the girl’s uncle. “I think he heard my footsteps and then he turned around quickly and asked me if this was my daughter.”
The uncle told Odom the girl was his daughter in an attempt to get her back, and Odom handed her back to him before he took off running. But he did not get far – the girl’s father tackled his ass and held him there until police arrived.…

While investigators were still on the scene, the girl walked up to an officer on the street near her home. She told police that Davidson was a friend of her father and that there was an incident between him and her mother inside the home.
“She was abducted from the scene and taken to different locations for a brief period of time, at which time she was again brought back somewhere in the general vicinity and dropped off, at which point she saw the sheriff’s deputies, approached the vehicles and contacted us,” said Lt. Wayne McKinney.
We first reported on the disappearance of Gabriel Johnson back in 2010 after Johnson fled to Texas with him on the eve of a custodial hearing. Since she was a no-show, Johnson lost custodial rights to Gabriel.
She would tell Gabriel’s father that she’d killed Gabriel, and blamed him for her actions. Authorities would eventually apprehend Johnson in Miami Beach, Florida but Gabriel was not with her. While in custody, Johnson would recant her murder confession and claim to have given Gabriel to a couple at a Texas park.
However, during an unauthorized, three hour meeting between Johnson and Detective John Salame, Johnson would again confess to killing her son. The detective says he was close to getting the location of the boy’s body when Johnson’s lawyer, who was unaware the jailhouse interview was taking place, walked in and pulled the plug.…
