Hamden, CT – A paramedic for American Medical Response is accused of sexually assaulting a 22-year-old woman strapped to a stretcher in the back of an ambulance early on Christmas morning.
The 22-year-old victim apparently fell and hit her head that morning, knocking herself out. The woman told police that while being transported to the hospital, she awoke in the ambulance to find the EMT sexually assaulting her. She indicated that she could not move because she was strapped to a stretcher. She contacted police immediately after her release from the hospital.
Investigators determined that 49-year-old Mark Powell was the paramedic who treated the woman in the ambulance and an arrest warrant was obtained.
Powell turned himself in Thursday on charges of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint. He was released on a $25,000 bond.…

Parma, OH — Police say an unidentified 48-year-old man was stabbed New Year’s Eve simply because he was clueless to the fact that Beyoncé and Jay-Z are married.
According to an arrest report, an argument broke out between the victim and 31-year-old Ronald Deaver shortly before midnight on December 31 as they watched music videos.
The two ended up outside of Deaver’s apartment, and when the victim admitted his ignorance to Beyoncé’s marital status, he was stabbed and undisclosed number of times.
Police attempted to locate Deaver at his apartment, but a woman inside the residence, 31-year-old Jennifer Fornari, apparently told officers that Deaver no longer lived there.
Deaver was eventually located nearby and taken into custody on a charge of felonious assault. Fornari was later arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.
The victim survived the attack and is currently listed in good condition.

Lakeland, FL – Danny Danny Parker, 41, is an innocent man. I say that because a lot of people pictured on D’D are guilty of something. Parker, by court decision, is not.
You see… Parker was a Florida Sunday school teacher. Sadly, he was arrested and convicted on child pornography charges in 2009. This happened after he was found to have taken photos of young girls at the church camps at which he volunteered, cut out their faces, and and pasted them on adult pornographic images. Parker was subsequently sentenced to five years for possession of child pornography.
It was reported that, while jailed, Parker read the story of John Stelmack. Stelmack was a principal at a nearby elementary school who had been arrested in 2007 for basically the same thing that Parker did. Stelmack was reported to have taken photographs of his female students and attached them to photographs of adult pornography. The resulting images were found in his school office. Stelmack was later convicted on child pornography charges, but that conviction was recently overturned.…

Plaistow, NH — Barry Short, 22, of Massachusetts was arrested New Year’s morning after he allegedly drove past a New Hampshire police car in a Ford Focus with only three tires.
“Officer Jason Mazza observed a vehicle on Route 125 drive slowly by,” deputy police Chief Kathleen Jones said. “[The patrol officer] heard a loud noise and observed the car was missing the rear driver’s side tire, driven on its rim only. It wasn’t flat, there was no tire on it at all.”
Officer Jason Mazza pulled Short over and approached. Shockingly, the officer reported smelling a ‘strong odor of alcohol.’ Mazza questioned Short and noted that he appeared ‘disoriented.’
“Short believed at the time of the stop that he was in Methuen, Massachusetts,” Jones said. “He told the officer he couldn’t find a jack to change his tire, but couldn’t explain why there was no tire on the car.”
After failing a field sobriety test, a police search of the vehicle yielded a substance suspected to be marijuana and some paraphernalia.…

Chicago, IL - During a rainstorm in 2008, Hiroyuki Joho, 18, (pictured) was trying to catch a train. While hurrying towards the platform with an umbrella shielding him from the rain, he made the literally fatal mistake of stepping into the path of an oncoming Amtrak express train.
The teen’s mother Jeung-Hee Park, had reportedly left Joho, a high school student, at the station that morning. It is believed that he thought that the approaching train was his local train and that he expected it to slow down. Joho crossed over the tracks using the pedestrian crossing which put him in the path of the train.
Joho’s train, in fact, had been delayed by the bad weather and overtaken by the Amtrak express. That train, traveling at close to 70mph, did not slow down. Joho was reportedly ‘shredded’ on impact.
Gayane Zokhrabov, 58, a commuter waiting on the platform was hit by a ‘sizeable portion of Joho’s body.’ The impact – which occured after a portion of Joho’s torso had traveled almost 100 feet through the air – was reported to have knocked her to the ground, breaking her leg and wrist and injuring her shoulder.…

White River Junction, VT – A 19-year-old girl has been accused of faking her own abduction in an effort to extort money from her grandmother so she could pay off a drug dealer.
Monday night, 73-year-old Patricia Swanson received a call at her home from a man demanding she bring him $600 as her granddaughter, Megan, could be heard crying in the background. If she did not bring him the money, the man told her, he was going to kill her.
When Swanson told the unknown man that she didn’t have that kind of cash, he threatened her as well. Fearing for her life and her granddaughter’s, Swanson complied and agreed to drop the money off wherever he instructed.
When Swanson dropped off the cash at the drop off spot, Megan’s kidnappers were unaware that they had been set up. Patricia had called police beforehand and they were there watching in unmarked cruisers. They say 20-year-old Joshua Rice was the one who arrived at the location and grabbed the cash.
Police pulled a car over as it was leaving the scene and found 21-year-old Kevin Emery and the alleged hostage, Megan.…

Staten Island, NY – I’m sure a lot of you have read about 15-year-old Amanda Cummings by now. For those of you who haven’t, two days after Christmas, she purposely stepped in front of a city bus while carrying a four page suicide note.
She would later die at the hospital from blunt force trauma and skull fractures and her family is blaming bullying for her death. The family claims she was bullied throughout school, even in the days before her decision to end her life. Her uncle has stated he wants justice and will push this as far as he can, in an effort to ensure those who pushed her over the edge are held accountable.
“I’m not going to tolerate this,” he said. “I’m gonna go full force. Kids can’t do this to each other.”
Her mother echoed the same sentiments stating, “This entire tragedy is far, far from over,” she wrote. “I am no where done with this.”

Detroit, MI — Not a lot of info on this one, but police say a 19-year-old man burned himself to a Quisp in front of his family following a heated argument with his sister over cereal.
No word on what the actual tiff was about, but according to investigators, the man’s mother sided with his sister in the alleged argument, forcing him to take drastic measures.
The irritated teen reportedly walked downstairs and doused himself with lighter fluid before returning to the kitchen. Then, as his horrified siblings looked on, he set fire to himself. Way to milk it, kid! That’ll teach ‘em!
Family members extinguished the flames and performed CPR until paramedics arrived. Sadly, their Life saving efforts proved fruitless – he died at the hospital a short time later.
While it’s painfully obvious the kid lacked the Most basic of coping skills, investigators say he had no known mental issues. He did, however, have some sort of physical disability.
This is the kind of story that keeps me up at night.…

BROWNSVILLE, TX - Police in Texas had to shoot an kill a 15-year-old boy who was brandishing a firearm inside a Texas middle school.
Not a lot of details yet, but what is being reported is that an 8th-grader brandished a firearm in the main hallway of Cummings Middle School this morning.
School administrators initiated lockdown procedures and contacted the Brownsville Police Department and BISD Police and Security Services.
Responding officers encountered the teen in the hallway outside the principal’s office and ordered him to drop his weapon. The teen reportedly ignored their requests and aimed the gun at police before they shot him three times. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
Someone who knew the teen told reporters that the teen played sports and was in the band. They said that shortly before the shooting, he had been in a fight and that both he and his opponent had been sent to the principal’s office.…

Joliet Township, IL — A man police are calling a career criminal is accused of gouging his uncle’s eyeballs out as the two men fought over a remote control New Year’s Eve.
Police responded to the home the alleged eyeball gouger shares with his uncle at about 10:00 Saturday evening. The unidentified 62-year-old victim was found at the bottom of the basement stairs with his hands stretched out in front of him, saying, “Please help. I cannot see.”
According to police, the victim had “blood streaming from both eyeballs, covering his face below his eyes. Both of his eyeballs were swollen, dislocated and were protruding approximately a quarter-inch from the eye sockets.”
The man told police he and his nephew, 32-year-old Exulam Holman, had been arguing over the remote right before shit got bloody.
In a fit of anger, Holman reportedly threw the remote to the ground, breaking it, and shoved the older man to the floor. He then straddled the victim, inserted his thumbs into the man’s eyes and attempted to pry them from their sockets.…

Glendale, AZ — Jose Rivera, 55, was booked into jail New Year’s Eve after his son contacted police to report that he had found an SD card containing at least two videos of his old man raping a 12-year-old girl.
The 30-year-old man apparently found the card in Rivera’s bathroom and handed it over to police after viewing its contents. According to police, one video showed Rivera telling the girl to get undressed. A second video showed him raping her.
Since he couldn’t deny raping the kid, Rivera put the blame on her. The skeevy puke actually claimed he made the videos to prove to police the little trollop had been forcing him to do sexual things since she was nine. Can’t wait to see how that defense works out for him in court…
Rivera has been charged with one count of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of sexual exploitation with a minor.…

HENDERSON, N.C. — A North Carolina teen used a shotgun to give an uninvited guest, who had broken into his home, a few new holes to breathe out of.
Last Thursday, a 17-year-old girl called 911 to report that she was hiding in her bedroom closet while a man was banging on the front door trying to get in. She said that she and her 14-year-old brother were home alone, but that her brother was armed with a shotgun.
Her brother eventually gets on the phone with the 911 dispatcher and calmly tells her he has just shot a man who had gained entry into the home.
“I just shot the man. He came around the corner. I shot him. He broke the whole glass out,” the teen told the 911 dispatcher.
The man who received the teen’s gift of buckshot was 19-year-old Anthony Henderson Jr., and after acquiring his sucking chest wound, he stumbled outside to die on the front lawn.
As the boy and his older sister waited for police to arrive, the dispatcher asks if they are ok. ”I’m perfectly fine,” the teen replies.…

Ft. Smith, Arkansas — The body of 24-year-old Cassie Cotta was found yesterday in rural Crawford County after having been missing since December 30 and her husband has been charged with her murder.
Cassie Cotta’s mother contacted police on New Year’s Eve after her daughter failed to show up for work. The last time anyone had any contact with her was at around 11pm on December 30 when she left a post on her Facebook account that read ”Blah blah blah.. Cheers people! Fuck it.”
Cassie’s husband, 33-year-old Brent Cotta, was the last person to see Cassie alive and told police she left for a party with a man named “Brandon.” He also commented on that last post of Cassie’s, joining in with concerned friends and expressing his concerns over Cassie’s party habits and the people she hung out with.
The Ft. Smith PD informed Cassie’s family that due to New Years Eve celebrations they would not be able to form a search until January 1, so Cassie’s friends and family started a grassroots effort to locate her using Youtube and Facebook to get the word of her disappearance out to the public.…

Sarasota, FL — Ricky Leer, 48, was arrested earlier this week for allegedly decapitating another homeless man after the man essentially ruined what was to be a delicious steak dinner.
A third man in the pair’s camp apparently called 911 early Tuesday morning, claiming he watched as Leer “chopped off” the unidentified man’s head.
According to the witness, the three were just kind of hanging out Monday night, barbecuing steaks and drinking rum, when the victim accidentally knocked over the grill they were using to cook the steaks on. That unforgivable transgression ultimately led to some wicked choppin’ and hackin’ on Leer’s part.
The witness told police Leer knocked the 53-year-old victim to the ground, grabbed a machete-like knife and began to “chop” at the man’s head. At that point, the witness wisely took off running.
The witness later led deputies to the victim’s body and provided a spot-on description of Leer. Deputies canvassed the area and soon found Leer at the campsite, drinking rum. He was taken into custody without incident.
Leer is being held without bail, charged with second-degree murder.…

Chicago, IL — Edward Brown, 34, was busted last Thursday after reportedly exposing himself to a theater filled with parents and children watching “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.”
According to witnesses, about 30 minutes into the 4:00 p.m. showing, a butt nekkid Brown rose from his seat in the front row, faced the crowd of about 86 Chipmunk fans, stretched out his hands and displayed his package before returning to his seat.
A couple of police officers just happened to be patrolling nearby and Brown was taken into custody within minutes.
When questioned, Brown reportedly told officers that he had been allowed inside the movie theater for free by an unknown female who told him to take a seat in the front row, take off his clothes and wait for her, and they would have sex, smoke crack and do heroin. Great. Unknown bitch went and stole my line….
Brown is being held in the Cook County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, charged with three felony counts of sexual exploitation of children, aged 4, 6 and 6, one misdemeanor count of sexual exploitation of a minor aged 14, and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.…

According to a probable cause affidavit, a Pennsylvania mother-of-three told police she was driving with her children – ages 3, 8 and 15 – when a white pickup truck cut her off several times. The woman reported that she drove into a shopping center where she maneuvered her car behind the pickup in an effort get a photo of the truck’s license plate using her cell phone.
According to court documents, when the driver of the pickup truck – Hardy – saw her take the picture, he ‘became agitated’ and blocked her car behind a vacant store. Hardy then reportedly got out of his truck and screamed profanities and threats while approaching her car.…

Cincinnati, OH – An Ohio man is facing robbery and assault charges after robbing one man of his cell phone and stabbing another in both of his eyes.
Police say that after Eugene Dase punched one man and took his phone, he put Robert Sandford in the hospital after stabbing him multiple times in the eyes.
Police say Dase used a steak knife to stab the poor man’s left eye, then used a television antenna to stab him in his right eye. Sandford was taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
While in court Monday, Dase cursed at the judge and laughed at his potentially lengthy prison stay.
Dase: “How about I just plead guilty right now?”
Judge Bouchard: “You’re not going to see the light of day for a long time.”
Eugene Dase: “Do you think I give a (expletive)? You think I care?”
Judge Bouchard: “Yeah, I think you’re going to care in about 15 years when you haven’t seen the light of day.”
Not a real shocker, but Dase has prior convictions for assault and has a history alcohol problems.…
