York, SC – A man in South Carolina is facing assault charges after police say he beat a handicapped man during an argument over a Playboy Magazine.
On Wednesday, police were called to a home and found 24-year-old John Edward Pack on the front porch suffering from a seizure, a possible broken rib, a broken eye socket and neck injuries.
After medics were able to get the handicapped man’s seizure under control, he told police that he had been beaten by 42-year-old Randall Rumfelt, a man who lived with his mother. He said that a drunken Rumfelt wanted the Playboy Magazine he had in his possession, and kicked his ass to get it.
But Pack’s mother told police that she witnessed the fight and that Pack handed her the magazine before hitting Rumfelt first. After her son got his ass beat, she says she helped clean his wounds before he walked to his grandmother’s house a few houses away.
Rumfelt was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and battery. He’s currently being held under a $10,000 bond.…

Bethlehem, PA - After an unnamed 17-year-old driver hit a bicyclist and attempted to flee, his quick apprehension by a city bus driver and another motorist was caught on tape.
Bicyclist Frank Pavlick, 50, was hit Monday afternoon by the teen driver while riding in the northbound lanes of the Fahy Bridge.
“The … guy didn’t even try to pass me,” Pavlick said. “It was an explosion, literally. The tire exploded, the rim exploded.”
Video shows that immediately after the impact, the car driver sped off. Up ahead was a LANTA municipal bus. The bus driver, seeing the accident behind him, maneuvered his vehicle to stop the fleeing driver. A second driver then boxed him in from behind after checking to see if Pavlick was ok.
Bethlehem Police Commissioner Jason Schiffer and Mayor John Callahan honored the two men responsible for detaining the hit-and-run driver. Those men, Richard Gubish Jr., 43, and Jud Smull, 17, were commended for their quick thinking. Pavlick, the rider, expressed his gratitude to both men.
“These guys, I’ve been waiting to meet and say thanks in public and in private,” Pavlick said during remarks.…

Tunkhannock, PA - A Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to 50-to-100 years in prison for sexually abusing 4 underage girls and an underage boy.
Vincent Clark, 42, had been found guilty by a jury on Dec. 16 for 34 sex-related charges for crimes that occurred between 2006 and 2009.
The victims – who are now between the ages of 8 and 15 – were all at the sentencing hearing. The children had testified that the assaults happened in Clark’s home, in his tractor trailer, and on his all-terrain vehicle.
“These children [are] not who they were meant to grow up as. Their souls are completely different,” a victim’s mother said.
During the trial, a member of the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board said that Clark declined to participate in his own psychological assessment. She instead used victim forensic interviews, police affidavits, and prior criminal information to determine that Clark suffered from pedophilia that was acquired and/or congenital. This resulted in Clark being sentenced as a sexually violent predator.
Clark’s oldest victim – a 15-year-old girl – reportedly began to cry while addressing the judge at the sentencing hearing.…

Muncie, IN – I’ve seen women remove men’s testicles before, placing them in their purse or in a jar placed on a high shelf in a closet, but the recently married men in those cases were usually willing participants.
Not so for the poor guy in Indiana, whose ex-girlfriend was arrested after she practically removed his testicles with her bare hands.
Police were called to the home of a 57-year-old man who reported his drunken ex-girlfriend, 43-year-old Christina Reber, had entered his home uninvited and had assaulted him in a most unpleasant fashion. Fellas, prepare to cringe.
The victim said shortly after yelling “call the fucking police” and slapping him in the head multiple times, Reber latched on to his low-hanging fruit and began “squeezing as hard as she could.”
Despite his best efforts, the man was unable to get Reber to let go as she began digging in her fingernails into his tool bag. It wasn’t until after they fell to the floor that the man was able to regain possession of his eggs and call 911.…

Vancouver, BC - Police called to a Vancouver car wash after reports of screams discovered the source to be three men who had run themselves through the car wash while naked in a shopping cart.
Abbotsford police – called to the car wash at around midnight by concerned neighbors – arrived to find the three reportedly ‘sore’ 20-year-olds putting their clothes back on.
“They decided it would be a really good idea to strip down and run themselves [in] the cart through the car wash. Need I say they were intoxicated?” said Constable Ian MacDonald.
The police report noted that the men made the mistake of selecting either the “typhoon” or “super typhoon” mode. Let’s all take a moment to thank the good Lord that the car wash didn’t have the dreaded “hyper-mega typhoon” setting – which is believed to have been outlawed in most Canadian provinces.
After reportedly making sure the men were not injured and after listening to their apologies for what they recognized as a ‘poor life choice,’ police sent the three men home to sleep it off.…

Providence, RI – Police have confirmed that the body found in a backyard storage shed of a home in Rhode Island does belong to the autistic teen who went missing in Massachusetts last month.
Joseph Webster, 19, was last seen at a Motel 6 on March 13. His family became increasingly worried when the teen never returned home because he had never stayed out overnight before.
He also suffered from mild autism and severe diabetes that required him to take insulin every eight hours. Even more distressing was the fact that Webster did not have enough insulin with him to survive the length of time he had been missing.
Police would eventually arrest 19-year-old James Howze and 22-year-old Lara Corey in connection to the teen’s disappearance, accusing the pair of assaulting Webster and stealing his car.
Corey had been staying in Room 214 at the Motel 6 where Webster was last seen and at the time he vanished. Prosecutors said blood and a shovel were found at the hotel and Howze had tried selling Webster’s car in Rhode Island.…

LIVONIA, Mich. – Police say a teen was upset over his recent breakup with his girlfriend when he broke into her home and used an axe to kill her mother and her new boyfriend before killing himself.
On Wednesday, 19-year-old Brian Douglas White entered the home of his ex-girlfriend, 17-year-old Desiree Staperfene, and used an axe to kill her mother, 46-year-old Angela Kim Staperfene, as well as Desiree’s new boyfriend, 19-year-old Jacob Lee Burns. Both would die from multiple axe wounds to the head.
Reportedly, Desiree was forced to watch as her mother and boyfriend were murdered. She was injured during the attack, but the Stevenson High School senior was able to flee the home and call 911. When police arrived on the scene, they found White dead after having blown his brains out.
Desiree was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital. Friends say White recently confronted Desiree at school and say his controlling nature is the reason she recently broke up with him.

Los Angeles, CA – The mugshot you are looking at is 42-year-old Lisa Robin Kelly, better known as Eric Foreman’s slutty sister from “That 70s Show.” She got herself arrested Saturday on a felony charge of corporal injury upon a spouse, and was released on $50,000 bail.
But not before taking the mugshot that has now gone viral because if there is one thing people love, it’s actually seeing a visual representation of another’s downward spiral.
In this case the visual representation is in the form of a mugshot, one in which a disheveled Kelly manages to put something that resembles a smile on her face. The kind of smile someone uses immediately before slicing off their own nipples and drowning their young in the bathtub.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands – A Virgin Islands mother may face criminal charges after she was caught driving with her newborn baby zipped in her purse.
The woman was pulled over for a cracked windshield on Tuesday. While asking for her driver’s license, the police officer heard a baby crying but couldn’t see a baby or car seat in the vehicle.
When the woman was asked for the infant’s location, she unzipped a purse sitting in the passenger and revealed a newborn. She told the police that she gave birth to the baby girl at home a week ago and claimed she was on the way to the hospital when she was pulled over.
EMTs arrived on the scene and transported the baby girl to the hospital for evaluation. There’s been no reports on her condition. The mother was transported to the hospital as well, where other officers brought her a car seat to use.
The woman has not been charged with anything at this time, but the Department of Human Services is investigating and criminal charges may be filed against her once they are done. The name and age of the mother have not been disclosed.…

Lakeland, FL - Leonard Richard Filipkowski, 44, the owner of a mobile game arcade confessed to molesting a then-13-year-old boy in his arcade-van in 2010, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release issued Tuesday.
Filipkowski reportedly traveled throughout Central Florida to ‘entertain kids at birthday parties, children’s events and church and school functions.’ His 24-foot-long van reportedly includes flat-screen televisions connected to Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii gaming systems.
Investigators became interested in Filipkowski after getting a report from an out-of-state social-service agency about alleged sexual abuse of the boy. The boy – who had moved out of Florida – later identified Filipkowski and detailed the abuse he received from him in counseling.
As a consequence of the investigation, Filipkowskiwho confessed to giving alcohol to the boy and then molesting him in his “Games-2-U” van. Filipkowski also admitted performing sex acts on another boy – who was 13 or 14 at the time – about three years ago in his home. That boy worked for Filipkowski in his Games-2-U van at the time.…

ANDERSON, Ind. – A homeless man who allegedly set fire to his aunt’s house was arrested after being found “playing baseball” with the heads of decapitated cats.
According to reports, 32-year-old Danny Davis has a host of mental issues and hasn’t been taking his medications. He has been living with his aunt for a few weeks, but she had recently asked him to leave.
In response, Davis killed the family cat with a shovel before decapitating it with a knife. He then used gasoline to set fire to the back porch of his aunt’s house. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control and no one was injured — aside from the cat.
Police located Davis among the crowd of people standing outside to watch the show, but he took off running. This WISHTV article simply says he was Tased and taken into custody. But others, like the one I linked to earlier, say that before he was taken into custody he was located a short distance away with a baseball bat, using the heads of cats as baseballs.…

Lakewood, CO - This is a story that is getting press now because of recent interviews given by the in-laws and the investigation that followed Dave O’Shell killing his wife and then himself after he was accused of abusing his infant daughter. Later tests revealed the baby’s injuries may have been the result of a rare genetic disorder.
Tiffany and Dave O’Shell were Lakewood (Colorado) Police officers who, after meeting on the job, got married. Tiffany, an Army reservist, had attended the University of Northern Colorado studying child physical therapy. BISMARCK, N.D. – Police have arrested a man after they say he used a cattle prod on his ex-girlfriend during an argument.
According to the criminal complaint, 37-year-old Christopher Martin went to the home of his ex-girlfriend and accused her of stealing $500 from him the night before. The ensuing argument resulted in Martin producing a 5-foot-long cattle prod that he used to shock his ex.
When police arrived and interviewed Martin, he admitted shocking his ex out of anger over the missing money. Martin’s day got even better after a K-9 search dog at the scene hit on his vehicle. The resulting search would yield some weed, some meth and drug-related paraphernalia.
Martin was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault-domestic violence along with a myriad of drug related charges. If convicted on the felony assault, he faces five years in prison and a $5000 fine.…

Midway, FL - Police have arrested two teenagers on attempted murder charges, accusing them of beating a 50-year-old man over the head with a hammer and stealing his vehicle. The victim is currently on life support.
On March 26, police were called by a witness who said they heard someone screaming for help and watched as two men pulled a man from a vehicle and drag him into the woods. Police would find the victim lying in the woods.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim was sitting in his SUV when 18-year-old Julius Bender and 19-year-old Yahaziel Israel approached him and began beating him with a hammer. He was pulled out of his vehicle and dragged into a nearby wooded area where he was beaten over the head with the hammer.
His attackers fled the scene in the man’s car before police arrived and abandoned the vehicle at a short distance away. Investigators would received a tip from Crimeline that named Bender and Israel as the two they were looking for.
The witness to the beating was able to pick the teens out of a photo line-up and stated Bender was the one wielding the hammer. Israel’s fingerprints were found inside and outside of the victim’s vehicle.…

Anchorage, Alaska – Police are pretty positive the body recovered from an Alaska lake yesterday belongs to 18-year-old Samantha Koenig, who went missing in February, and they have a suspect in custody.
Koenig disappeared while working as a barista at a coffee stand in Anchorage. When her boyfriend arrived to pick her up, she was not there and the Common Grounds stand had been locked up. A co-worker arrived the next morning to find the security alarm had not been set, money was missing and some of Koenig’s belongings were still in the stand.
A check of surveillance video would solve part of the mystery, as a man wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap can be seen forcing Koenig to accompany him. Based on Koenig’s demeanor and the man’s actions, detectives stated there was no doubt she had been abducted.
After months of few leads or information being released to the press, police in Texas arrested 34-year-old Israel “Izzy” Keyes in connection to Koenig’s disappearance. Keyes is a self-employed contractor whose website states he moved to Alaska in 2007 to start his own business.…

West Des Moines, IA - An IT worker for Farm Bureau Insurance has turned himself in to West Des Moines Police to face charges of urinating on the office chairs of attractive female coworkers. Raymond Charles Foley, 59, was formally charged this morning.
According to police, Foley worked in the Farm Bureau’s information technology department and had access to all the company’s computers and the employee database.
Farm Bureau officials told police Foley would look up employee photos in the agency’s database. Court documents say that Foley “would pick out the attractive females and then on off-hours, he would come into work, go to their desk, and urinate on their chairs.”
Employees reportedly first started complaining about stains on their chairs in October 2011. Surveillance cameras were installed in February. On March 26, a Farm Bureau vice president told authorities that Foley had been caught on video camera urinating on the office chairs of four female co-workers.
Foley was reportedly relieved of his position with Farm Bureau immediately after the surveillance footage was viewed.…

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The 33-year-old woman accused of murdering her aunt’s boyfriend and her grandmother, beat the odds and was found not guilty by reason of insanity.
On Feb. 6 2009, Kern drove from her home in Georgia to her father’s home in Florida where she broke in and stole some items, including a .357 magnum. From there she would drive to her aunt’s house where she shot and killed her aunt’s boyfriend, William Chapman. Afterwards, she drove to her grandmother’s house where she stabbed and beat her grandmother to death with a tire iron.
After she was arrested, she told police she was Jesus and that her father was the devil — which also sounds oddly like an average phone conversation with Jaded. But this was no ploy at acting nuts. While in her 20s, Kern was diagnosed as bipolar and schizophrenic. Her lawyers say she never got the proper psychiatric treatment she needed.
Amy Kern was facing two first-degree murder charges but on Monday, after psychiatrists concluded that Kern was insane when she committed the killings, Judge Jeffrey Colbath accepted a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.…

Kimball, Minn - Melissa Jean Stern has been sentenced to 45 days in jail after she got angry with a 77-year-old man and tried yanking the assisted living resident off a toilet by his genitals.
The incident happened last year at a Kimball assisted living facility where Stern, 37, was employed. The elderly man ended up with a scratch on the tip of his penis and some bleeding.
Stern would end up charged and convicted of one count of abuse of a vulnerable adult by a caregiver after a co-worker who witnessed her actions reported her.
Stearns County District Court Judge Mary Mahler sentenced Stern to a year in jail but only has to serve 45 days as long as she complies with several conditions, including not breaking any laws for the duration of her sentence.
In addition to the 45 days she will spend behind bars, Stern was also ordered to pay $685 in fines and fees.…

LONGVIEW, Wash. – Think you got it bad? Imagine spending nine years in prison for raping your own daughter even though you were innocent of the crime.
That’s exactly what happened to one a man in Washington who spent nine years in prison after being convicted of raping his 11-year-old daughter in 2002.
Thomas Edward Kennedy, 43, has always maintained his innocence, before and after a jury convicted him of three counts of first-degree child rape. He still had six more years to go behind bars when all charges against him were dropped and he was released from Stafford Creek Corrections Center last week.
The reason? His daughter lied.
Cassandra Kennedy, now 23, went to police in January and admitted to detectives that she had falsely accused her father of raping her because she was angry over her parents 1991 divorce and was disappointed with her father’s increasing absence.
Cassandra told detectives she got the idea from a friend whose stepfather was sent to prison for a child sex crime.
“I thought that is what I would do to make my dad go away,” she told police. ”I wanted him away so he would stop hurting me.…

Dallas, TX – This is one of those horrendous child abuse stories that keep me from typing up another child abuse story for a week or so. But if you are looking to hate anyone today, I give you Aaron and Elizabeth Ramsey, a Texas couple who admitted to starving a 10-year-old boy to death.
Police began looking into the disappearance of Jonathan Ramsey after the child’s grandfather contacted them last week, concerned that the boy had not been seen since January 2011 and the boy’s father was giving him different reasons why.
After being questioned by police, 34-year-old Aaron and 31-year-old Elizabeth would finally admit that the boy was dead and that Aaron had disposed of his body in an unknown location. But an affidavit has been released that details exactly how the boy was killed and the details are absolutely sickening.
According to Elizabeth Ramsey, who is the boy’s stepmother, they began starving the boy in March 2011 after the boy punched her in the stomach while pregnant with triplets, supposedly causing her to lose the babies.…
