Brandon TerrySPARTANBURG, SC – A couple were arrested Sunday after making repeated 911 calls to report seeing people and possums jumping out of their refrigerator and microwave.

Deputies said 32-year-old Brandon Terry and 28-year-old Casey Fowler gave the dispatcher the wrong address to their rental home, but police managed to track down the couple a few blocks away.

When asked if the couple had taken any drugs, they said they had not. They then showed the officers pictures they say proved that worms were coming out of the floor of their vehicle and pictures of “midgets and other people camouflaged.”

The officer looked at one of the photos and noted that it only showed a basketball goal and a tree. Terry informed the officer that he could not see the camouflaged midgets because on he could see him.

Field sobriety tests were conducted on the couple and both showed signs of being under the influence of drugs. Terry’s test had to be restarted at least once because Terry stopped and said the deputy was touching his eyes.…

563d13300abef.imageMEADSVILLE, MO – Rachel Kinsella, 35, has been arrested for the systematic poisoning of her 9-year-old son with prescription medications.

Kinsella’s son has issues with epilepsy. With that in mind, it would not be surprising to find medications to treat epilepsy in his system. Unless, of course, he has been treated multiple times, at multiple hospitals, and has been prescribed conflicting medications by all of them.

There’s also the fact that doctors noticed that her son has been seen multiple times, since March 2014, for medication overdoses. It also doesn’t help that Missouri is the only state without a prescription database, making it impossible for doctors to know who or what prescriptions are prescribed to anyone.

Kinsella’s son, who has been with his grandparents in protective custody in January, was treated at a hospital in St Louis and at another hospital in Kansas City, 200 hundred miles away. At both hospitals, he was given medication for seizures and mental health issues.

According to prosecutor, Bob McCulloch, “The child, when he would present at the hospital in very serious condition, would get much better while he was there.…

Ashley BladesWEATHERFORD, TX – Ashley Blades is facing a capital murder charge after the body of her newborn baby was found dead inside the trunk of her car.

On Tuesday, Blades sent a text message to her estranged husband that informed him that she’d given birth to their baby daughter and that the baby was dead. Her husband immediately called the police, asking them to do a welfare check on Blades and possibly their newborn baby.

When police arrived at Blade’s residence, she admitted to them that the body of her newborn was in the trunk of her car. Police would find a dead newborn inside a plastic bag in the trunk, wrapped in a towel.

Blades waived her right to be silent and told investigators that she gave birth Monday morning at her home and had placed her hand over her baby’s nose and mouth for a “minute or two” in order to stop her crying.

She said after that, her daughter never cried again and never “seemed the same after that point.” When Blades went to check on the baby later that evening, she found her baby dead.…

Lola GriffithMESA, AZ – According to police, 27-year-old Lola “Tami” Griffith murdered her 5-year-old son inside a room at Cardon Children’s Medical Center before fatally shooting herself.

The bodies of Griffith and her son, Helious, were discovered by a nurse performing a bed check shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday. Griffith’s son had been a patient at the hospital for about a week.

“It appears that the mother for unknown reasons took the life of the child and then took her own life there in the room.” Mesa Police Detective Steve Berry said.

According to a fundraiser created by Griffith, her son suffered from Cerebral Palsy with Dystonia, has sensitivities to audio, odor, and touch, and suffers from extreme anxiety. She had been looking for help raising $1500 dollars for a vehicle, but had not gotten close to her goal.

Police say the Arizona Department of Child Safety do have an open case with the family, but that Griffith was her son’s legal guardian.

“I can tell you this family was actively involved with DCS (Arizona Department of Child Safety) and that it was an open case and that they were actively working on that as recently as two days ago,” Berry said.…

Amiyah DunstonELMONT, NY – Amiyah Dunston was visiting a friend’s house on Sunday when she was mauled to death by an 80-pound pit bull.

According to Detective Michael Bitsko, Dunston was playing with two other girls in the backyard of the home when the dog, named Kane, attacked her for reasons currently unknown.

Witnesses to the horrific attack said that the dog latched onto the 9-year-old’s neck and head, then began shaking her like a rag doll. A woman in the house ran out and tried to stop the attack, but called 911 when she was unable to pull the dog off Dunston.

“She tried with a broom – too weak, too scared,” said neighbor Novelette Wilson.

Police ended up fatally shooting the dog after they arrived on the scene. Officials say as they entered the backyard, the dog stopped attacking Dunston and charged towards them.

Dunston was rushed to the hospital in critical condition where she underwent surgery. Unfortunately, she would be pronounced dead a few hours later.

No one has been charged in connection to the dog attack, but the dog’s owner, 29-year-old Carlyle Arnold, was arrested at the scene on a charge of violating an order of protection.…

Clayton SIngletonLAS VEGAS, NV – The Clark County coroner’s office has ruled Clayton Singleton, the 8-year-old boy who shot himself in the head last month, committed suicide.

Singleton was home alone with his 6-year-old sister on Oct 10 when he used a handgun to shoot himself in the head. His sister then ran to get help from a neighbor, who called police.

Neighbors would report hearing the girl screaming about blood as she was rushed away from the scene.

Investigators revealed that there wasn’t anyone home supervising the two children when the shooting happened, and that the gun belonged to someone who lived in the home. A family friend said the boy’s parents told him the gun had been in a safe.

On Wednesday, the coroner ruled Singleton’s death a suicide – the youngest recorded case in Nevada since 2005. That same day, the Clark County Department of Family Services and Metro said that Singleton’s death remains under investigation and that they will talk with the district attorney’s office to decide what, if anything, happens next.…

car trunkKENNEWICK, WA — Police have three teens in custody after they allegedly kidnapped an 86-year-old woman who was able to escape from the trunk of her own car.

Abel was reportedly taken from her home sometime Monday by three teens — a 14-year-old girl, 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy — and forced into the trunk of her own car.

At around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday and hundreds of miles later, the teens stopped at a Walmart in Wood Village, Oregon and went inside a store. This is about the time Abel decided she’d had about enough of this shit, and took the opportunity to pop the car’s trunk.

After running inside the Walmart looking for help, a Walmart employee called police. When officers arrived, they spotted the three teens across the street at a gas station and took them into custody.

They are now in an Oregon juvenile detention facility facing charges of kidnapping, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and reckless endangerment.

Despite her ordeal, Abel was unharmed and returned home after being checked out by doctors.…

Pedro SanchezTOMBALL, TX – Police say 21-year-old Pedro Sanchez was shot dead by a neighbor after entering the home of 17-year-old Tyler Wade and stabbing the teen to death.

On Monday, Sanchez entered Wade’s home at around 4.pm. wearing latex gloves and carrying a baseball bat. The only people home at the time were Wade, who was upstairs taking a shower, and Wade’s 12-year-old sister.

Sanchez made his way to the upstairs bedroom where Wade was taking a shower, then used a knife to repeatedly stab the teen. Wade’s sister ran out of the house to alert a neighbor, an off-duty firefighter, who retrieved a gun before running next door.

The neighbor went upstairs and encountered a bloody Sanchez and ordered him to drop the knife he was holding. When Sanchez refused to comply and lunged at him, the neighbor dropped his ass with one shot.

The neighbor began administrating first aid to Wade, but there was nothing he could do. Wade and Sanchez were both pronounced dead at the scene.…

Reinaldo RiveraHOUSTON, TX – Police have arrested 38-year-old Reinaldo Rivera after he stabbed his roommate to death for taking the last piece of fried chicken.

According to reports, Rivera and four other men were drinking and fixing fried chicken inside an apartment at the Lakeside Estates when 34-year-old Darwin Gonzalez took the the last piece of chicken, a drumstick.

Rivera was not at all happy about this, and the two men began arguing over Gonzalez’ faux pas. This argument spilled out into the apartment parking lot where the two traded blows.

The fight ended when Rivera stabbed Gonzalez once with a steak knife before fleeing the scene. Police would arrive on the scene to find Gonzalez dead in the parking lot.

Rivera was arrested after returning to the scene and admitting to police that he’d stabbed Gonzalez. He’s now behind bars facing a murder charge.

“There was a single drumstick in the pan,” according to HPD Homicide Detective Fil Waters. “You can’t script this stuff. It’s someone getting killed over a piece of chicken.…

Benjamin GoldenCOSTA MESA, CA – Benjamin Golden, a 32-year-old senior marketing manager for Taco Bell, is out of a job and facing criminal charges after he was captured on video assaulting an Uber driver.

Last Friday night, Edward Caban picked up Golden at around 8 p.m. and immediately knew he’d made a mistake. Golden was intoxicated and uncooperative, refusing to give Caban an address to go to.

Fed up with Golden, Caban pulled into a parking lot and told Golden he needed to get out of his car.

“You’re too drunk to give me directions, man. I’m kicking you out,” Caban told Golden as the drunkenly falls over in the back seat. “Get out of my car or I will call the police.”

After arguing for a bit, Golden opens the door and appears to be leaving, but then suddenly unleashes a flurry of punches to Caban’s face and head. When Golden stops yanking on Caban’s hair to pick up the hat that had fallen of his head, Caban uses the opportunity to retaliate with some pepper spray.…

Paw EhDALLAS, TX — Police have charged 31-year-old Paw Eh with attempted murder after they say she forced her young son to ingest rat poison.

Police were called to the Newport Landing apartments on Saturday after receiving a 911 call from one of Eh’s relatives. Once there, they spoke with Eh’s 12-year-old daughter who told them her other was trying to kill her and her two siblings.

She said that after Eh told her she was going to kill them and then herself, she put rat poison on a spoon and tried to force her 4-year-old son to drink it. When he kept his mouth shut, Eh allegedly slapped her son and forced the poison into his mouth.

She then tried to get her 12-year-old and 7-year-old to do the same, but when they saw what she was doing they booked it over to their grandmother’s nearby apartment and told her what was going on.

The boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition but has since stabilized. Her other two children are in the custody of Child Protective Services.…

sailfishMUSKEGON COUNTY, MI – Prosecutors say they may file charges against a 58-year-old woman who allegedly hit her 61-year-old boyfriend over the head with a mounted sailfish, then poked him with the nose of the fish.

According to what the boyfriend told police, he and his girlfriend were drinking at around 2 a.m. when he decided to sketch a mounted sailfish. The two began arguing for some reason and she moved the fish before leaving the room.

When she returned, she found the fish had fallen and broke. Believing her boyfriend was responsible for the broken fish, she grabbed the head of the sailfish and began hitting him over the head with it. The man called 911 after she began poking him with the nose of the fish and cut his hand.

Responding police did not arrested the woman, citing her health issues, but the Muskegon County Prosecutor said they are reviewing the case and may file charges against the woman at a later time.

If you thought this was the first story ever featured on DD in which someone got into trouble for beating another person with a mounted animal, you would be mistaken.…

Jacqueline EideOMAHA, NE – Jacqueline Eide is facing trespassing charges after she broke into the Henry Doorly Zoo to pet a tiger, and got a mangled hand for her efforts.

In the early morning after Halloween night, an intoxicated Eide got inside the zoo and made her way to the cage of Mai, an 18-year-old Malayan tiger at the zoo’s African Grasslands exhibit.

Once she placed her hand inside the cage, Mai latched onto her hand “causing severe trauma to her hand,” police said in a statement.

After freeing herself, a friend drove Eide to the hospital where police say the 33-year-old was aggressive towards staff and showed signs of intoxication by alcohol or drugs.

Eide was still in the hospital on Sunday to treat injuries to her left hand that are so bad, she might lose parts of her fingers. But that’s not the end of her worries. Police have also charged her with criminal trespass.

Not that Eide’s a stranger to police or the court system, seeing as she’s previously been convicted of drunken driving, shoplifting, graffiti and other crimes.…

Kani LoveDENVER, CO – Police in Colorado have arrested 25-year-old Kanei Love after she was accused of fatally kicking a small dog during a domestic violence incident.

According to reports, police responded to a residence earlier this month and found Love holding the dead body of a small dog. She explained to them that she had kicked the dog while arguing with her boyfriend.

Witnesses told police that during the argument, Love kicked the dog and sent it three to four feet into the air. It must have been one hell of a kick, or one small dog, as the dog was dead by time it hit the ground, according to the affidavit.

Afterwards, Love told the responding police, “I don’t give a shit about the dog.”

Obviously not, but I bet she does give a shit about the consequences of kicking it to death. Love was arrested and charged with cruelty to animals. She was released after posting $2000 bond and is expected back in court on Nov 2.

Her boyfriend, 22-year-old Melvin Lewis, was also arrested and charged with city assault after he allegedly punched Love three to four times in the face during the altercation.…

James PhillipsMOUNT HEALTHY, OH – Police have arrested 35-year-old James Phillips after they say he killed his 3-month-old baby by slamming her into the floor.

Police responded to Phillip’s home Saturday after receiving a call of a baby not breathing. When they arrived, they found a neighbor performing CPR on Phillip’s 3-month-old daughter.

The baby was rushed to the hospital in critical condition suffering from severe skull fractures that kept her from breathing unassisted, and would die the next day.

Police say that when they questioned Phillips about his daughter’s injuries, he admitted that after the baby’s mother went to the store that he’d slammed his daughter on her back into the floor. Phillips was arrested and initially charged with child endangering and assault. After the infant died, aggravated murder charge were filed against him.

Phillips is being held on $4 million bond and is facing the death penalty if convicted. Despite police claiming he admitted what he did, his lawyer says Phillips denies harming his daughter and that his parents support him.…

Chelsea AkeHENDERSON, NV – Police say 24-year-old Chelsea Ake, a manager at Rejuvenice Cryotherapy, froze to death after entering one of the cryotherapy chambers after hours.

The gruesome discovery was made after Rejuvenice employees came to work the other morning and found Ake dead inside one of the company’s cryotherapy chambers.

According to the Rejuvenice website, these  “cryosaunas” or “cryochambers” are an alternative to cold water immersion or ice packs that decreases cell growth and increases cellular survival by subjecting the occupant with dry air that dips below -240 degrees Fahrenheit.

This treatment is only supposed to last two to four minutes, but Ake was in the chamber for at least 10 hours. Surveillance cameras show that after Ake closed up shop, she walked to the back where the cryochambers are located. There are no cameras in that area, so investigators can only assume Ake got into one of them by herself and that the machine did not turn off.

Investigators say it’s likely Ake suffocated within seconds, and say her death was due to “operator error.” Her family disputes this claim, stating Ake was an aesthetician and chamber operator who “knew exactly what she was doing.” They say investigators at the coroner’s office told them they were looking into the gases Ake inhaled before her death, as well as the chamber’s mechanics and whether she could keep her head above the chamber to breathe.…

zombie guitarGRANTS, NEW MEXICO – Damon Perry admitted to beating his friend to death with a guitar after binge watching The Walking Dead, explaining that he did so because his friend was turning into a zombie.

Police were called to the Vista Mesa Villa Apartments on Thursday after someone called to report an intoxicated man with a knife. When officers arrived on the scene, they found two apartment complex maintenance men restraining 23-year-old Damon Perry outside an apartment.

Inside the apartment police would find 23-year-old Christopher Paquinan. He was unconscious and appeared to have been brutally beaten. Paquinan was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency personnel.

Perry told police that he was the one who beat his friend to death, but that it was self-defense. According to Perry, he and Paquinan were drinking “large amount of alcohol” while binge watching The Walking Dead on Netflix.

At some point, Perry says his friend “began to change into a zombie” and started biting him. In order to protect himself, and save his friend from a fate worse than death, Perry admits beating Paquinan his hands, feet, a guitar, a microwave and other household items.…

KaliINDIA – I normally stay away from stories out of India because no news from that area shocks me, but I have made an exception after a 13-year-old girl got revenge on her alleged rapist by decapitating the man’s five-year-old son.

According to reports, the teenager said that she was raped by a man called Rinku in the tiny village of Khair after he offered her some print erasing whitener – a substance that the girl reportedly likes to huff on.

Deciding to get some revenge against Rinku for the assault, the girl set her eyes on the man’s 5-year-old son, Amit. While the boy was playing outside his house on Tuesday evening, the girl allegedly lured him away, took him to a vacant plot and beheaded him.

Afterwards, she smashed the boy’s body with bricks, wrapped it in a polythene bag and set it on fire. His murder was discovered the next day after a pack of dogs were seen dragging around Amit’s half-burnt corpse.

The girl was taken into custody after Amit’s parents told police she was the last one seen with their son.…
