Holifield was a top pitcher for the Plano Senior High School Wildcats who had verbally committed to Oklahoma State University on a baseball scholarship. Those college plans are now on hold after his arrest on June 20.
According to police, Holifield was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact. He allegedly sexually abused two children at his mother’s in-home day care. One of the victims is reportedly 5-years-old.
The scouting site MaxPreps listed the 6-foot-7, 240-pound teen as the No. 45 high school prospect in Texas. He’s now being held at the Collin County Jail on $600,000 bond.
Holifield joins a long list of teenage boys who have sampled the goods at their mother’s day care. Some featured on this site recently include:
On April 22, 2015, Weaver gave birth to a baby girl in a bathroom at the Delta Gamma Theta sorority at Muskingum University. Weaver put the infant in a trash bag and left her outside where the newborn would die of asphyxiation.
After the body was found by Weaver’s fellow sorority sisters, Weaver was arrested and later charged with aggravated murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. Instead of owning up to what she did, Weaver would plead not guilty by reason of insanity.
During her trial, prosecutors would show that Weaver never had any intention of keeping the baby. They told the jurors that Weaver drank alcohol, smoked marijuana and played sports during her pregnancy.
Even more damning was the fact that hours after she gave birth, but before the baby’s body was found, she sent a text to the boy she believed to be the father that read: “No more baby,” and “taken care of.”
Weaver’s defense was that she was in denial about the pregnancy and thought her daughter was dead when she put her in the trash.…
According to reports, the girl’s 30-year-old mother left the baby girl on a couch for only a few seconds while she went to use the bathroom.
It was at this time that the two dogs, believed to be Shar Pei-pit bull mixes, came into the home through an open door and attacked the baby. The infant was rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center where she was later died.
The woman told police the dogs belonged to her brother and that she thought they were chained up outside when she left the door open because it was hot. She also informed police that one of the dogs is aggressive.
Sgt. Dan Macias said that at this point the baby’s death seemed like an unfortunate accident, but that the investigation is ongoing and that charges haven’t been ruled out.
The dogs are currently in the custody of the Central California Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals where they will both be euthanized.…
Clearwater police say 23-year-old Roseanna Kiser was a guest at the Sheraton Sand Key Hotel who was spending time at the hotel’s pool Monday evening. While drinking from a bottle of vodka in the pool, Kiser became angry with several young children who were also in the pool.
When a 7-year-old boy Kiser didn’t know splashed water near, she responded by pouring some of her vodka directly into the boy’s eyes and face. She then grabbed him around the chest and pushed him away from her.
Police were called to the hotel and found Kiser inside her hotel room. When they tried escorting her off of the premises she began kicking and elbowing the arresting officers in the head, neck, and chest. She also managed to repeatedly kick one cop in the groin with the heel of her foot.
Kiser was placed in jail on felony charges of child abuse and battery on a law enforcement officer.…
Police responded to the home of 30-year-old Bernice White after receiving a 911 call connected to a fight between White and her adult sister.
When police arrived, they found White’s sister had a broken arm caused by White hitting her with a 1×4 piece of lumber. While searching the home, police also found White’s son with a bandaged hand and swelling, bruising and redness to his right upper thigh and left forearm.
After White’s son was transported to the hospital, doctors discovered the boy was suffering from several broken fingers and a fractured foot. Investigators say the injuries were a result of White beating the boy with the same piece of wood she used to break her sister’s arm.
According to the affadavit, White had returned home from work and turned all Mommy Dearest when she found the apartment had not been cleaned to her specifications.…
Before we get to the convictions, here’ some background: Liam was the son of 31-year-old Rachel Trelfa and Joseph Johnson. Trelfa was living with Johnson until she became pregnant with Liam, at which time she left Joseph for 28-year-old Nyomi Fee, a woman she had been having an affair with.
The pair entered into a civil partnership and, over the next two years, numerous reports were made regarding Liam. These reports were made by a babysitter and workers at two separate nurseries who were concerned over Liam’s bruises and his lethargic behavior.
The women would explain to social workers that the boy’s injuries were caused by falling, or by the boy “pinching himself.”
In March of 2014, police were called to the couple’s apartment where they told police Liam had been killed by one of the two 7-year-olds who lived in the home.…
The unidentified woman and her three children – ages 8-years-old, 5-years-old, and 2 months – lived with her mother and her brother. Late Wednesday night, the woman’s brother called 911 after returning home from work and talking with his sister in the garage.
He told police she was talking incoherently about religion (duh) and said she’d found the answer before locking him out of the house.
After forcing his way in he found his sister in the bathroom suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds to her neck and abdomen. When he ran to get towels, the woman tried drowning herself in the bathtub.
While paramedics were treating her, she told them her three sons were staying with a family member. Police would find this to be untrue while performing a routine search of the home.
Inside a bedroom closet they would find the dead bodies of her three sons.…
A police officer responding to the home of 48-year-old Loretta Lynn Armstrong reported seeing the woman repeatedly hitting her youngest son in the face.
Armstrong was reportedly upset that her boy, whose age has not been released, didn’t get the right toppings on her Grade D horse meat.
The officer was able to pull Armstrong off of her son but Armstrong was able to break free when the officer tried to cuff her and throw herself on the driveway. She then began screaming and cursing, claiming she was in the throes of a heart attack.
After emergency personnel arrived and determined Armstrong was pulling a Fred Sanford, she was taken to jail.
“All in all, from the moment we arrested her, to the time we finished the arrest was about three hours,” Cpl. Dean Bishop said. “During those three hours, she didn’t settle down the whole time.”
Armstrong has been charged with felony child abuse and three other misdemeanors.…
Police were called after 21-year-old Tyler Dauzat took her son to St. Elizabeth Hospital because of his extremely erratic behavior.
A blood screening revealed the boy was flailing and showed a significant presence of meth in his system. Doctors concluded the boy had to have eaten the drug.
When questioned, Dauzat first denied knowing how her son came into contact with meth, but ultimately admitted that she had some powdered meth in her purse and that her son had been left alone with the purse inside a hotel room.
Dauzat was arrested and placed in the Ascension Parish jail on bonds totaling $50,000. She’s facing charges of negligent injuring and cruelty to juveniles, illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile and improper supervision of a minor. Additional charges are may be coming, police said.
The Department of Children and Family Services is now trying to determine if Duazat will keep custody of her 2-year-old and his 4-year-old sibling.…
Last year, the wife of 39-year-old Tony Waller was looking for a file on a laptop they both shared. What she ended up finding was a folder fill o’ child porn. According to police, Waller had amassed a collection of around 400,000 images and videos of pubescent girls.
She called police and Waller, who worked at Jonesboro First Assembly of God since 1999 and was a bus driver for Jonesboro Public Schools, admitted he had a child porn addiction for the last 20 years.
But as police continued their investigation, they found that Waller had more than a child porn addiction – he was also a predator. Waller had installed hidden cameras in the church’s bathroom and a house the church owned across the street.
Even worse, two girls – aged 10 to 11 – would come forward to say that Waller had been sexually abusing them for several years. …
According to police, someone witnessed 29-year-old Willie Bell Jr. molesting a 6-year-old boy behind a Dallas apartment building. The victim’s mother said her son was lured behind the building while he played outside.
She says that witnesses caught Bell in the act of sexually abusing her son and stopped him while beating him. “If it wasn’t for them, he probably would have done more to my child,” she said.
Now police say that Bell sexually abused two other boys in February. At the time, the boys told police they had been sexually assaulted behind their apartment building by a man wearing “church shoes.”
Bell just happens to be a youth minister at First United Methodist Church of Cedar Hill. The church released a statement saying that it is cooperating with police and that, as of right now, they are not aware of any similar assaults taking place at the church.…
The more details that come out about this case, the more messed up it gets. As usual with these child abuse stories, if I am writing it up, then you know it’s a bad one.
On March 17, medical crews responded to a 911 call regarding an unresponsive child. When they arrived at the home they found 3-year-old Bethannie Johnson lying in the middle of the living room floor unresponsive.
Police and paramedics noted Bethannie was severely bruised on her head, abdomen and legs. She also had dried blood in her airway that was indicative of past injuries.
Paramedics managed to get the girl breathing again, but she would be pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. An autopsy found she had multiple internal and external head injuries and concluded she died of blunt force trauma.
When questioned by detectives, Gosset said she was Bethannie’s legal guardian and that she stays at the address because she provides child care for the person who lives there.…
According to police, the girl’s mother was at a home visiting a friend on Easter when she left her daughter on a couch to go in the garage to smoke meth.
According to investigators, that’s when the little girl was “taken into another room in the home where she was raped by the four men.”
When the mother returned from smoking meth, she noticed her daughter’s clothing was in disarray and that she was upset and wanted to go home. The next day the girl told her mother that the four men had raped her and one had threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
Police were called and the girl was able to pick out 36-year-old Larson RonDeau from a photograph. He would tell investigators that he was at the home with three other men and that the girl was there with her mother. He said if the girl was raped inside the home, he was not involved.…
But when you find that your children have been tattooed, your ex is passed out drunk and won’t answer the door for cops, it can’t get any worse, right? Not for a Travis County man who got a call from his son on Monday, say Lago Vista police.
According to the arrest affidavit, the son told his dad that “they had a surprise for him and that he might not like it.” When the father showed up at his ex-wife’s house in Lago Vista, he found his kids-ages 13, 10 and 9-with “fresh tattoos on their ankles.”
The children’s mother, 31-year-old Ashley Weir, was arrested, charged with allowing her boyfriend’s brother to ink the kids. Which is where it does get worse. The boyfriend’s brother? You guessed it: a registered sex offender.…
According to an arrest warrant released by Grand Prairie police, Quezada, 30, called 911 to report that she was performing CPR on her daughter, 4-year-old Leiliana Wright.
When responding paramedics noticed the girl had bruises on her face, Quezada told them her daughter had come home from a sleepover with the injuries and then fell in the shower. The child was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Three days later, the girl’s death was ruled a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head and abdomen. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said the girl had extensive bruising “from head to toe” and had whip marks on her back.
With this information, police arrested Quezada and charged her with injury to a child. Despite changing her story multiple times, the arrest warrant paints a pretty horrific picture of what happened on the day the girl died and, I gotta say, it’s a tough read.…
Shaylyn was reported missing last week after her family woke up to find she was gone. The last one who had seen her alive was her father and grandmother, who had put her in her crib the previous night before going to sleep.
Also in the house that night was the girl’s grandfather, uncle, and Parker – who had been invited over by the uncle to drink and watch a movie.
The girl’s uncle told police that he saw Parker leave the home sometime between 3 and 4 a.m., and that he was walking away from the home carrying something. He added that he thought he might have seen a dangling foot.
Friends of Parker would tell police that he pulled his car into their garage sometime around 3:40 a.m. that morning, then went inside and began washing his clothes. They also said he was acting distant and not his usual self.…
Last Thursday, Hatcher walked to a neighbor’s house and informed them she had placed her 2-year-old daughter inside her family’s oven and needed help with her daughter’s injuries.
The girl was flown by air ambulance to the Parkland Burn Center in Dallas where, according to a GoFundMe page, she is suffering from second and third degree burns across 60 percent of her body. Hatcher was arrested and charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury. She is currently being held on $3000,000 bond.
According to a Texas Child Protective Agency spokesperson, the girl will be placed in foster care once she is released from the hospital. The girl’s uncle said that he and other family members are not being allowed to have contact with the girl.
This is par for the course in regards to Hatcher’s children. She reportedly has a history of drug abuse and that her 7-year-old son was previously removed from her custody by Child Protective Services.…
Robert Ritchie says he returned home from work Tuesday night to find Anna had already given 4-year-old Austin Cooper a bath and put him to bed.
The following morning he called 911 after finding his son unresponsive in his bed and not breathing.
“I think my son’s died,” Ritchie can be heard telling the dispatcher. “He got into a hot bath last night with my wife and she thought [unintelligible] OK. So, he said he wanted to go lay down in bed.”
Austin was taken to Atrium Medical Center where his death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy revealed the little boy had died from third-degree burns to his legs.
Anna was initially arrested and charged with child endangerment, but more charges are pending since she has reportedly admitted to dipping her stepson’s legs in a bathtub of scalding water as a punishment.…
