Oak Lawn, IL – We’ve featured so many murdered babies over the years that I’ve lost count. But this story out of Illinois comes complete with a mental image that will stick with me for as long as the “My Daddy Ate My Eyes Out” story has.
Police say 62-year-old Alfreda Giedrojc used a sledgehammer to bash in her 6-month-old granddaughter’s head before using a knife to slit the baby’s throat.
It happened on Sunday morning, after Giedrojc’s son-in-law left his 6-month-old daughter, Vivian Summers, in his parents-in-law’s home. He and Giedrojc’s husband then left the home to work on a rehab project across the street, leaving Giedrojc alone with Vivian.
Once everyone was out of the house, Giedrojc picked Vivian up off of the couch where she was sleeping, and placed her on the floor. She then went to a closet to retrieve a sledgehammer she’d placed the night before, and then used it to repeatedly hit the infant in the head.
When Vivian would not stop moving and crying, Giedrojc grabbed a knife from the kitchen.…Continue Reading
Police received a 911 call about an unresponsive child and arrived at a home to find Torian Whittaker unresponsive. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say that Torian and his 7-year-old brother were being physically abused by their mother’s boyfriend, 24-year-old Tavon Ludy. On Sunday, while Torian’s mother was out buying him a birthday present, Lundy delivered a fatal punch to the little boy’s chest.
Lundy was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and aggravated battery to a child. Torian’s mother, 27-year-old Toria Coleman, was charged with child endangerment. Investigators say she was aware Lundy was beating her sons on a routine basis over minor problems, and did nothing to stop it.
The 7-year-old is now in the custody of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.…Continue Reading
CALCASIEU PARISH, LA - Police in Louisiana have charged a man after he admitted fracturing a baby’s skull by throwing it against a wall across the room.
Child Protection notified police on Saturday that a 13-month-old baby had been brought to a local hospital. It was in distress, disoriented and not walking properly. It was quickly determined that the baby had suffered a skull fracture. The baby was placed on life support, but was pronounced dead on Monday.
Police interviewed family members that weekend, including 24-year-old Trent Dubroc, the boyfriend of the child’s mother. He eventually admitted to being the person responsible for the child’s injuries.
He told them he was frustrated with the infant when he picked it up out of its crib, then threw it against a wall. Afterwards, he returned the baby to its crib without telling anyone the baby was injured.
Dubroc was already in jail after being arrested on Saturday for failing to appear in court on video voyeurism charges. He’s now been charged with second-degree cruelty to a juvenile.…Continue Reading
Redmond, WA – The ex-wife of Eric Lehtinen arrived at his home Tuesday to pick up their 4-year-old son and found that Lehtinen had attempted to kill the boy by injecting him with heroin.
When the unidentified woman got inside the locked home after a job interview, she found Lehtinen unconscious, as was their son who also had a syringe sticking out of his chest. Both were rushed to the hospital where staff found indications of needle marks on the boy’s neck and buttocks.
Tests would reveal he’d been injected with a drug cocktail of heroin, ketamine, morphine, codeine, and other drugs. The latest reports have him listed in stable condition, but doctors are unsure of what long-term damage the drugs may have caused.
Lehtinen was released from the hospital and sent straight to jail. He did not collect $200. He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder. He’s being held on $3 million bail after prosecutors described him as a “man who is willing to inject his 4-year-old son with heroin in an attempt to kill the boy” and a “dangerous man willing to do anything.” If convicted, Lehtinen will be looking at a minimum of 15 years behind bars.…Continue Reading
Shelby Township, MI – On the same day an Arizona father was charged with murder for intentionally leaving his 1-year-old in a hot car, a mother in Michigan was also charged with murder after she left her two-year-old son in a minivan.
Audrionna Rhoads, 21, has been charged with second degree murder and child negligent abuse after her son, James Nelson, was found dead in his car seat earlier this month.
“We believe the evidence demonstrates that the actions of the defendant showed a reckless disregard of the life of her child,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith in reference to charges against Rhoades.
Rhoades told her family that when she left for work that morning, her son was sleeping on a futon in the mobile home she shared with a roommate. But investigators believe she put her son in the minivan that morning before driving another vehicle to work.
About 10 hours later, a neighbor noticed the boy’s foot through the minivan’s window and alerted the boy’s grandfather.…Continue Reading
SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Police are charging a man with second-degree murder after he intentionally left his 1-year-old son in a hot car while he went to work.
Brokale Marques, 28, was initially charged with child abuse and child endangerment after being accused of leaving his son in a hot car for hours on Saturday so that he could go to work. The boy was rushed to the hospital when he was found lethargic later in the day. When he was taken off life support on Monday, Marques was also charged with murder.
According to the police report, Marques woke up late for his job at International Cruise and Excursions and didn’t have time to get his son to the babysitter. So he took the boy with him and parked the car near his work, leaving the infant in the car seat with the car running.
Marques took a lunch break at around 11 a.m., and his son seemed fine. So he drove to a nearby Burger King for lunch and returned 30 to 45 minutes later.…Continue Reading

HOMOSASSA, FL – A couple were arrested after being accused of treating two young boys like ashtrays, burning them with cigarettes multiple times.
According to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, they were called on Sept. 11 after a woman said she picked up the boys, ages 2 and 4, from James Huggins. He had been watching the two boys for a few days, and now she’d found they were suffering from multiple burns.
She found them after the 2-year-old began crying during his bath and noticed a burn under his arm. He reportedly told her that “Timmy had hurt him.” When she checked out his 4-year-old brother, she found a burn on his hip. According to the arrest report, the older boy said the burn was from “Timmy’s cigarette.”

ESCONDIDO, CA - A child care center in Escondido has been shut down after the center’s owner threw a metal chair at a 6-year-old girl, hitting the child in the face.
The incident happened in August at the Wahaha Child Care Center when the center’s owner, Xiao Yan Hu, allegedly threw a metal folding chair at 6-year-old Imani. The chair struck Imani in the face, leaving her with a bruised and scarred cheek.
According to Imani, Hu tried bribing her into not telling her mother of the incident, which was also witnessed by Imani’s 10-year-old brother, by offering her a bag of lollipops. The ploy didn’t work and Imani told her mother what happened. The California Department of Social Services eventually got involved and went to the center on Sept. 12 to interview staff and children. After they were done, they ordered the center to close its doors immediately.
“The licensee threw a chair at a child in care, causing injury to the child. The Department believes that, as a consequence, the licensee, and the continued operation of this facility, pose a risk to the health and safety of day care children,” CDSS stated in their report.…Continue Reading
Granite City, IL - Police are still looking for the woman accused of using her two young children to steal $100,000 worth of jewelry from a Granite Falls jewelry store.
According to police, 23-year-old Geneshia Grey walked into the Hurley and Co. Jewelry Store last month with her two young children, ages believed to be around 6 and 8. A store surveillance camera captured Grey going up to the counter to ask the store’s owner questions while her two children were busy going behind counters, sticking their little hands in the jewelry cases, and stuffing expensive adornments in small bag.
After about 20 minutes, Grey left the store with her two children and an estimated $100,000 worth of jewelry. Grey might have gotten away with it had police not been called to a home where Grey and a family member were arguing. When police arrived at the home, Grey’s relative handed them 69 empty jewelry boxes and told them Grey was involved in some kind of criminal activity.
A week later, after identifying where the stolen jewelry boxes came from, police spoke with the Hurleys, who were in the process of figuring out when they had been robbed.…Continue Reading
Cleveland, OH - A mother is facing child neglect charges after her 16-month-old child was found alone in an apartment with maggots crawling on her.
The child’s grandmother found her alone inside a disgusting apartment where police believe she had been left for 2-3 days with no food. The grandmother said the maggots had apparently hatched from the girl’s dirty diaper. The child was taken to the hospital to be fed, cleaned up and checked out. She is reportedly doing fine and in the care of relatives.
The child’s mother, Nikia Banks, claims that she was only gone from the apartment for about seven minutes, but investigators say it can take up to three days for maggots to form. Not sure if that means she left her child alone for that amount of time, or left a maggot-filled diaper on her child for that long. Either way, Banks was arrested and charged with felony child endangerment.
This latest charge is in addition to a neglect charge for Banks that was opened just last month leading to a social workers seeing the child, and meeting with Banks.…Continue Reading
Phoenix, AZ - A daycare owner has been arrested after she admitted to choking a 6-year-old girl in her care, and possibly abusing a baby with pillows.
According to the probable cause statement, when a mom arrived at 36-year-old Shan Marie McDonald’s daycare to pick up her two daughters, ages 1 and 5, she found her baby on the couch with a busted lip and unable to open her eyes. The baby was taken to the hospital where she was treated for various injuries, including bruises on her neck, shoulders, face and thighs.
When the 5-year-old was interviewed, she said she didn’t know what happened to her baby sister but did know what happened to a 6-year-old girl who was also at the daycare. According to her, she saw McDonald choke the girl because she couldn’t find her shoes.
The mother of the 6-year-old had also noticed her daughter was sporting injuries when she picked her up and had taken some pictures of marks on her throat and scratches on her forehead. …Continue Reading
On August 27th, 22- year-old Anthony Ruff asked his 8-year-old stepson to take the dog out to use the bathroom in the apartment’s common area without a leash. After the dog did its business, it decided to partake in a pit bull’s favorite snack – a small child.
The dog didn’t have to look far as there were children out playing and it wasn’t long before it was enjoying a 2-year-old boy’s face. Ruff’s stepson was unable to do anything but watch as the dog laughed maniacally and took another bite from the tasty morsel.
The victim’s mother was alerted by her 4-year-old son who’d ran inside screaming that his little brother was dead. Mom immediately ran outside to find that wasn’t entirely true, but the boy was bleeding motionless on the ground with the dog standing nearby with blood on its mouth.…Continue Reading
GILA BEND, AZ - A mother of three has been arrested after an anonymous tip informed police that she had burned her 2-year-old son on top of an electric stove.
Child Protective Services received a tip from an anonymous caller who claimed that 26-year-old Anna Ochoa was aggressive and abusive with her children. The caller added that Ochoa was particularly nasty with her 2-year-old son and made comments such as, “I’m going to hurt him because I am fed up with him,” and “I don’t love him.”
CPS looked into the the caller’s claim and discovered that the child had severe burns on his buttocks consistent with a stove’s burner. He also had bruises on his lower back and blisters on his lips and fingers.
When questioned, Ochoa admitted to burning her son because she had gotten upset over him wetting himself. She told investigators she removed her son’s clothing, turned on one of the burners on her stove and then held the boy over the hot burner.
She said she didn’t know how long she had held the boy over the burner but afterwards she got ready for work without tending to the boy’s injuries.…Continue Reading
Port Arthur, TX – This article was written by Gaucha in our Workshop forum. I will get this under their name once their account has been created. A one-month old is currently in a full body cast after being beaten and shaken so badly that her brain had shifted.
Faith Mason was brought to the hospital last month suffering from a plethora of injuries, including a broken neck, arms and legs. In addition, the baby had a lacerated liver, a ruptured kidney and her brain had shifted due to being violently shaken. Some of these injuries are reportedly weeks old.
Because of the severity of her injuries, Faith was flown to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston and put in a full body cast and has not regained consciousness. The team taking care of Faith has stated that this is the worst case of child abuse they had ever seen.
Faith lived with her mother, 20-year-old Christine Johnson, her father, 17-year-old Darrell Mason, and Christine’s aunt, Linda Fields. To be honest, you could throw a dart at these three and whoever you managed to hit could possibly be the person responsible for Faith’s injuries.…Continue Reading
DETROIT, MI - The 2-year-old boy who was allegedly beaten into a coma by his mother’s boyfriend, has been removed from life support.
Damian Sutton died Tuesday morning at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit after suffering brain damage from a beating at the hands of 26-year-old Ronald Dimambro Jr., his mother’s boyfriend.
Police say Dimambro beat Sutton last week while baby-sitting him. Dimambro first told 911 dispatchers that Sutton was suffering an asthma attack, then said he fell out of his crib. Eventually Dimambro admitted he shook the boy.
Dimambro must have shaken that kid harder than a pair of maracas in a mariachi band, because the boy’s injuries were so severe he had to have brain surgery and be placed in a medically induced coma. Unfortunately, the boy could not be saved.
“Damian had a very stressful night as the doctors weaned him off the medications that were no longer working to control his blood pressure and brain pressure,” said Damian’s great-aunt, Cora Leibowitz.
Dimambro was initially being held on first-degree child abuse charges, but those will probably be upgraded now that Sutton has died.…Continue Reading
JACKSONVILLE, FL – Police say a man in a Florida Best Buy lured a 9-year-old girl into the store’s bathroom where he allegedly beat her and shoved her head in the toilet.
Investigators say the girl was only out of her mother’s sight for a minute or two, but that was all 29-year-old James Tadros needed to get the little girl into the women’s bathroom.
That’s where Tadros reportedly kicked and punched the girl, put a plastic bag over her head and held her head down in the toilet. Authorities say the girl would have been killed had store employees not taken time out from not being able to answer the most basic of technical questions, and walked into the bathroom after hearing the girl’s screams.
“By the grace of God, the customer and employees got in when they did,” Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jay Farhat said. “If it had been any longer this could have been a much worse outcome.”
The employees told police that they looked underneath the handicapped stall and saw Tadros holding the child’s head in the toilet.…Continue Reading
Slaughter, LA — Police say that an 8-year-old boy blew his grandmother’s brains out moments after playing the video game, Grand Theft Auto IV.
On Thursday afternoon, at the Country Breeze mobile home park, 90-year-old Marie Smothers was watching television when her 8-year-old grandson shot her in the head with a Colt .38-caliber Detective Special revolver.
The Sheriff’s Office release says the boy initially told investigators that he accidentally shot Smothers while playing with the revolver, but the investigation led them to believe the child shot her on purpose. The motive? The boy was reportedly playing Grand Theft Auto IV in the moments before the shooting.
The boy has since been released to his parents and will not face charges because, according to Louisiana state laws, any child under the age of 10 cannot be held responsible for any criminal act they may commit.
Of course the media will be all over this story, ignoring the real issues while featuring “experts” who will push long turds out of their mouth-holes while claiming violent media is turning our children into psychopathic automatons.…Continue Reading
ASHLAND, WV - Sheriff’s deputies say they arrested a pair of McDowell County parents after they found the couples’ young children living in filth, being held in a room where they were handling and eating human excrement. Yum.
According to WVVA, Michael Paul Perry, 28, and Crystal Sidney Perry, 19, were arrested and charged with child abuse creating substantial risk of injury. Not to mention bad breath.
Martin West, the McDowell County Sheriff, told WVVA TV that detectives responded to a call from Child Protective Services employees who were trying to remove the kids from the home in the Ashland area on Thursday afternoon. Not surprisingly, the parents weren’t eager to cooperate and the employees told police they felt threatened.
Officers say that when they entered the residence, they found two toddlers, ages 1 and 2, being kept in a room where they were eating human waste. A criminal complaint filed in McDowell County Magistrate Court said the children were ‘filthy’, and worse.
“The room in which the children were being held had human excrement on the floor and that the children had been eating the excrement,” the complaint said.…Continue Reading
LAWRENCEVILLE, PA — A woman in Pennsylvania is facing charges after investigators say she smeared feces on her baby’s face and feeding tube in order to make him sick.
According to a criminal complaint, 38-year-old Lauren Buzard had brought 6-month-old baby to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for unexplained illnesses several times since May.
Eventually, doctors suspected that 38-year-old Lauren Buzard may be doing something to harm her baby and surveillance cameras were placed in Buzard’s son’s room. It didn’t take long before the doctor’s suspicions were confirmed.
The cameras captured Buzard using a dirty diaper to smear feces on her baby’s face and nasal feeding tube. The motive? Munchausen by proxy syndrome. Doctors concluded Buzard was “actively harming her child in order to gain the benefit of exhaustive medical evaluation and attention.”
Lauren Buzard was arrested and has been charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment of a child. She is currently in jail waiting to appear before a judge on August 21. The baby has been placed with his father.…Continue Reading
