HOUSTON, TX – A woman is behind bars after hidden surveillance camera captured her abusing and repeatedly suffocating the baby she had been hired to care for.
The parents of a 4-month-old girl say they hired 48-year-old Tirza Magana before their baby was born and that she had been working for them for five months until May. That’s when they decided to install a nanny cam after noticing their daughter was acting strange and lethargic. After just one day of filming, the parents reviewed the footage and were horrified at what the it had captured.
According to court documents, the video footage shows Magana placing her hands over their child’s nose and mouth while applying pressure, causing the baby to “flail about, struggling to breathe.” She does this four times over a fifteen minute period and can even be seen switching her grip. She is also seen “holding the baby up by her head as the child’s dangling body made jerking movements.”
The parents immediately fired Magana and called police. Magana was ultimately arrested and charged with endangering a child and is in jail on a $10000 bond.…

Here, Now – It’s been awhile since I posted a movie recommendation, but not from a lack of watching any. I have six movies I think a lot of you DD’ers will enjoy, starting with LOVELY MOLLY. It’s a horror film directed by Eduardo Sanchez, one of the creators of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, who went on to direct a few direct-to-video movies that didn’t come anywhere close to being as popular with audiences or critics as Blair Witch (although I did enjoy ALTERED). From the looks of the MOLLY reviews, it seems like that streak continues with yet another VOD release.
MOLLY currently has a 42% ranking at Rotten Tomatoes, and top critics use terms like “reductive and histrionic,” as well as “depressing and lazily nonsensical” when describing the film; those who enjoyed it call it creepy, disturbing, and effective at creating a sense of unease. I fall somewhere in the latter camp. I really liked LOVELY MOLLY and thought it was disorientating enough, with just enough creepiness, to overcome its flaws.…

OCALA, FL – A teenager has been charged with manslaughter after he he killed his friend with a sucker punch to the face.
According to reports, 19-year-old Matthew Gunter was in a Walmart when he received a call from someone who is probably feeling like shit right now. The person called to inform Gunter that his friend, 23-year-old Travis Henshaw, was sleeping with his girlfriend.
Angry, Gunter left the store and drove to a home where Henshaw was staying. Witnesses say Gunter confronted Henshaw by delivering a sucker punch to Hensaw’s face. As a result, Henshaw’s brain ping-ponged around in his skull after his head head hit the side of a door and then a concrete floor.
While Henshaw was on the ground, Gunter stood over him and asked why he slept with his “old lady.” After Gunter fled the scene, witnesses say Henshaw began suffering a seizure. He was rushed to the hospital suffering serious brain injuries and placed on life support. On Thursday morning he was pronounced dead.
Police tracked down Gunter and charged him with manslaughter.…

TITUSVILLE, Fl – A 52-year-old homeless veteran is fighting for his life after a man attacked him while he slept, using a hammer to bash in his skull.
Police were patrolling an area Friday morning when they noticed 33-year-old John Paul Angelillo in front of an abandoned business holding a hammer. When the officers turned into the business, they noticed 52-year-old David Gotshall on the ground nearby suffering from severe injuries.
The injuries where caused by Angelillo using a hammer to strike Gotshall in the face as he slept. Gotshall suffered multiple facial and skull fractures and the loss of one eye. He also suffered injuries to his ribs and a broken arm. He had to be airlifted to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.
Gotshall, a Desert Storm veteran, was sleeping behind the business because, according to friends, he had no where else to go after the city dismantled his previous camp a week earlier.

NASHVILLE, TN - A man is currently behind bars after police say he used a sword to nearly decapitate his younger brother.
On Thursday night police received a call from 33-year-old Charles Masters, who told them he had a dead body in his apartment. When police arrived, they found Masters’ brother, 28-year-old Jordan Masters, dead on the living room floor.
And by dead, I mean really, really dead. According to police, Jordan’s body had multiple lacerations and that his head had been partially severed. Investigators believe he was killed last weekend after getting into an altercation with his older brother, and that a sword found in the apartment was the weapon used to kill him.
Some of this info was obtained from Charles himself, who made incriminating statements to police at the scene, including Charles telling them that he had been laying with his brother’s body for the last couple nights hoping that he would wake up and everything would go back to normal.
Charles was arrested and charged with his brother’s murder.…

Milwaukee, WI – Police have arrested a 13-year-old girl who they say was behind the wheel of the stolen car that struck and killed a bicyclist earlier this month. If you are to believe some of the witness statements, this girl joins the gang of the more callous, apathetic juveniles we have featured on this site in the past.
The girl had been out with friends stealing cars throughout the night when, at around 6:35 a.m, she and another girl where in a stolen Dodge Neon drag racing with two males in a stolen Chrysler minivan. The girl ended up hitting and killing 57-year-old Ronald Forbes, who had been riding his bicycle to work as he did every day.
Witnesses say that after the crash, the two girls got of the Neon and jumped into the minivan with the two boys before fleeing the scene. Using fingerprints obtained from the Neon and the minivan later found abandoned, they were able to track down the 13-year-old driver who hit Forbes. She was with other girls in yet another stolen car.…

Park Ridge, IL — Police in Illinois have charged man with assault after they say he approached a 16-year-old girl he didn’t know, threw her to the ground, and then spanked her.
According to reports, 37-year-old Anthony Nugent approached the teen as she walked down the street Wednesday afternoon while carrying a musical instrument in a black case. Nugent approached the girl and asked what was in the case she was carrying. He became aggressive when she told him it was a musical instrument but refused to open the case so he could see it.
She tried ignoring him and continued walking, but Nugent allegedly continued to harass and badger the girl. When the girl continued to ignore him, Nugent reportedly grabbed the teen by the neck and head then threw her to the ground. The two got into a struggle during which Nugent ripped the teen’s shorts and used his hand to smack her ass several times.
Nugent fled the area on foot, but a passing motorist witnessed the incident and called 911.…

FARMINGTON, Maine - Police arrested a woman after they say she punched and kicked a female rival in the checkout line of a Walmart. God knows I have wanted to do this on occasion whenever someone in front of me pulls out their checkbook after they just watched their fifty items get rung up in slow motion, but this was more of a domestic issue.
According to reports, 32-year-old Sarah Hanson and her husband were shopping in Walmart when Hanson found her husband talking with another woman inside the store. Hanson ran up to the woman and let out a string of obscenities before leaving the store with her husband.
Outside in the parking lot, Hanson and her husband got into an argument that ended with Hanson going back inside the Walmart where she found the other woman standing in the checkout line. Witnesses say Hanson called the woman a name before punching her in the face. After the woman fell to the ground, Hanson allegedly began kicking her before leaving the scene.…

SPARTANBURG, SC – Police say a man got so upset over his son-in-laws’s “yo’ mamma” jokes that he cut the comedian with a knife and threatened to kill him.
Police were stopped by a bloody man who told them he had just been cut by his father-in-law, 72-year-old Marvin Tutt. He says that he, Tutt, and another man were riding together and were engaged in a bit of trash talking that eventually turned to “yo’ momma” jokes.
An extremely intoxicated Tutt became angry over the jokes about his mother and expressed his displeasure by putting a knife to his son-in-law’s throat and threatening to kill him. When the victim tried to get out of the car, Tutt cut him. The man says that after he got out of the car, Tutt chased after him, but returned back to the vehicle.
Police pulled over the vehicle and arrested Tutt, charging him with aggravated assault and battery. It must of been one hell of a joke because police say Tutt was still fuming over it in the back of the patrol car where he stated he “should have killed” his son-in-law and that he was going to murder him.…

Fruitport, MI - The adoptive family of 10-year-old Charlotte Ponce has announced that she will begin facial reconstruction surgery to correct the disfigurement she suffered in 2002 when her parents left her unattended with their pet raccoon.
When Charlotte was 3-months-old, her parents used the same wisdom that led to their having a pet raccoon in the first place to decide to leave Charlotte unattended with it. The raccoon – being a member of a species genetically linked to the three-headed dog that stands guard at the gates of Hades – promptly ate important parts of the girl’s face. As is common with children, the damage that was done could not be immediately repaired.
I do not know much about her parents. …beyond their not having an IQ above salad. I do know that, thankfully, Charlotte’s care was taken over by an aunt and uncle after her parent’s parental rights were severed in 2005.

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan– An HIV positive youth pastor has been arrested after police say he arranged to have sex with a 15-year-old boy he met online.
Kris Gowdy is a 42-year-old youth pastor who seems to enjoy putting more than just the Holy Ghost into teenage boys. He got himself arrested after he allegedly met a 15-year-old boy online and arranged to meet at the boy’s house to have sex.
When Gowdy showed up at the home, his hopes of putting his penis into some teen butthole were dashed when he found that the 15-year-old was actually an undercover Internet Child Exploitation unit officer.
Gowdy was arrested and charged with luring a child via computer, and attempted aggravated sexual assault. According to police, Gowdy was very active in the social dating scene and used the profile name collegetoy2033 on a number of social media sites.
“He’s all over chat rooms and social media,” Van Rooy said. “He’s quite narcissistic. He’s out there and has been for some time.”
Because of his active online presence, his access to teenagers and his travel history, police feel there could be more victims. Gowdy was not working as a youth pastor at the time of his arrest, but has been a youth counselor in churches in Sussex, New Brunswick; Rochester, New York; and Amherstview, Ontario.…

HENDERSONVILLE, TN — Police say that a teenager accused of murdering his mother not only smiled as he confessed, but that he told them he was smiling as he beat her to death.
The 15-year-old has been accused of beating his mother to death with a blunt object before trying to burn the house down with his 16-year-old brother still inside.
The older brother says that after a smoke alarm woke him up just after midnight Saturday morning, he ran to check on his mother, 46-year-old Melanie Davis. He would find her beaten to death in her bed. The boy ran from the home and went to a neighbor for help.
Dispatcher: “You need police, fire or medical?”
Neighbor: “I need both. The neighbor came across the street saying his mom is dead in the bed and it looks like a fire in the game room.”
Dispatcher: “Now is she for sure dead? Or do they think that?”

Teen Charged With The Rape Of Girlfriend’s 15-Month-Old

Ravenna Township, OH - A grand jury indicted an 18-year-old on two counts of rape yesterday after he was accused of raping his girlfriend’s 15-month-old daughter.
Earlier this month, 18-year-old Logan Andrew West was accused of raping his girlfriend’s 15-month-old baby, causing her serious internal injuries, and was charged with two felony counts of rape of a child under the age ten.
On August 4, EMS were called to a home in regards to an injured 15-month-old. Because of the severity of the injuries, the infant was transported to the hospital where it was determined the injuries were the result of a sexual assault. She was treated and released to her mother on August 6.
The following investigation revealed that West was one of several people at the home at the time of the assault. After cooperating with investigators, he was arrested and charged with raping the infant.
During his first arraignment West appeared before the judge, via video, wearing protective garb worn by inmates who are at risk of harming themselves. He was ordered held on a half a million dollars cash-only bond.…

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – In what some may call a mercy killing, a woman in Pennsylvania was charged with the stabbing death of her fiancé, hours before they were to be married.
Hours before 31-year-old Na Cola Darcel Franklin and 36-year-old Billy Brewster were supposed to be married Saturday morning, Franklin allegedly used a knife to stab Brewster in the heart during an early morning argument.
According Monique Kali, the wife of Brewster’s cousin, the couple got into an argument inside the apartment they shared. When she heard someone yell “knife!” she went to investigate. She told police she saw her husband standing between Brewster, who was bleeding from his side, and Franklin, who was waving a knife around. Not wanting to see her husband stabbed, Kali tackled Franklin to the ground while her husband took the knife away from Franklin.
Police would arrive on the scene to find Brewster bleeding to death from two stab wounds, one of which had punctured his heart. He was pronounced dead at the hospital an hour later and Franklin was arrested on one count of homicide.…

Unknown – The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations is asking for the public’s help in identifying a terrifying looking woman they say is manufacturing child porn that features her engaged in sexual acts with another man and two young children.
While investigating material in an unrelated child pornography case, some poor soul on a computer forensics team found videos of an open sore nightmare, along with an adult male, sexually abusing two children. One of the kids is reportedly 5 to 7 years old while the other is 3 to 5 years old.
This week, the HSI Child Exploitation Investigations Unit’s Victim Identification Program obtained a “Jane Doe” arrest warrant for the unidentified woman after the video evidence was submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They determined that the children seen in the videos being sexually abused haven’t been identified or rescued.
These poor, poor kids. Aside from being sexually abused, the Powers That Be saw fit they are abused by Jane Doe, who looks like her breath would reek of raw sewage, and a man who would have sex with her.…

PALMYRA, Pa. - I normally don’t like posting missing adult stories, but since there really isn’t anything else going on today I feel like writing about, here’s one making the rounds today.
Kortne Stouffer, 21, vanished from her apartment in the early morning hours of July 29 after hanging out with a group of friends. Stouffer had returned to her apartment with an old friend she had reconnected with recently when, at around 3 a.m., she got into an altercation with her downstairs neighbor over her dog. Police were called and they ended up telling both Stouffer and her neighbors to return to their apartments.
An hour later, the downstairs neighbors made a second call to 911 because they heard “stomping and banging” coming from Stouffer’s apartment. When police arrived they found the lights were off in Stouffer’s apartment and no one answered the door when they knocked. So they left.
At 7:30, the man who stayed the night with Stouffer says he woke up to find her gone and left. He was captured on surveillance camera inside a nearby convenience store where he texted Stouffer: “”I left.…

Terrell, TX - A Texas woman who was hospitalized after cutting off her baby’s arms in 2004 has recently been fired from her job at Walmart after a news crew told her employers of her past.
Dena Schlosser made headlines in 2004 after she cut the arms off of her 10-month-old daughter. Her daughter would die soon after. Schlosser was reportedly found covered in blood and singing church hymns. Schlosser would eventually tell psychiatrists that God had told her to do it.
A jury found Schlosser not guilty by reason of insanity. She was hospitalized until 2008 when a judged ruled that she no longer required treatment. Should would return to hospitalization in 2010.
Sometime between 2010 and now, Schlosser went from being a hospitalized mental patient to being a Walmart associate. A Walmart spokewoman says Schlosser, who now uses the last name Laettner, was hired in June. Schlosser was fired Monday after news station WFAA-TV told the company about her past.

GREER, SC – Police have arrested a public works commissioner after they say he assaulted his wife with a key lime pie.
Police were called to the home of 51-year-old Perry Williams after his wife called 911 Saturday night. Once there, the police observed Williams’ wife with a bloody nose, a scratch on her face, and covered in key lime pie.
She told them that she had accidentally dropped some pie on her husband as they argued over whether or not key lime pie was a fruit. In response, she says he became angry and threw the pie in her face. She also told officers that this isn’t the first time her husband has acted violent towards her, it was just the first time she had ever reported it.
After giving police her statement, the woman said she did not want to press charges against her husband. The officers informed her that because they observed injuries, her deciding not to press charges didn’t matter, her husband would be charged by the state. Upon hearing this, Williams’ wife ripped up the statement she made to police and repeatedly stated her calling the police had been a mistake.…

Rye Brook, NY — A woman in New York has been accused of breaking into the home of a woman she claims her husband has been having an affair with and then sexually assaulting the alleged mistress in front of the victim’s young child.
Police say 40-year-old Giovana Osorio arrived at the vicim’s home at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday and tried to break in through a kitchen window. Being too short to climb through, she opted to use a key she had for the front door. Her husband did contract worked on the home and Osorio copied the key he used to get inside. But according to Osorio, her husband wasn’t just working inside the home. He was also having an affair with the woman who lived inside it.
That’s why police say she was breaking into the home that night. She was hoping to catch her husband in the act. What Osorio didn’t know was that her husband really was working late that night, and wasn’t at the home. The only two people Osorio encountered when she busted into an upstairs bedroom were the victim, and the victim’s 4-year-old child, in bed sleeping.…
