Halle MerrillIDAHO FALLS, ID – Here’s a nightmare story for those of you with young children. A 2-year-old girl died last week after being buried alive by snow that fell from the roof of a ski cabin.

Authorities say 2-year-old Halle Merrill was near her grandfather’s cabin with her seven-year-old sister and seven-year-old cousin, when a massive amount of snow slid off the cabin’s roof.

In a matter of seconds, the three children ended up being buried under several feet of snow and large chunks of ice.

Family members immediately began digging and first responders where there within minutes to join their efforts to save the three girls.

It took 25 minutes of digging before they found one of the older girls who had to be dragged out from under a 300 to 400 pound ice sheet. She was breathing, but in extreme pain.

Five minutes later, the other seven-year-old was found with no pulse and not breathing. Rescue workers began CPR and, a short time later, she began breathing on her own.…

red pepper flakesDELTONA, FL – Three 12-year-old girls at Deltona Middle School were arrested for spiking a teacher’s drink with red pepper flakes.

The incident happened last week when 12-year-old Marjorie Garrido-Herrera decided to get revenge against 52-year-old Jayne Morgan because the teacher had sent her to the principal’s office for “dumping glue into another student’s backpack and for suspicion of stealing a laptop computer.”

The next day, Garrido-Herrera brought some red pepper flakes from home and enlisted the help of two other 12-year-old girls, Leisy Llanes-Pupo and Cristal Tejeda-Castro. While one of the girls distracted the teacher, the other poured the pepper into Morgan’s open can of soda.

When Morgan took a drink, she immediately began to choke and experience shortness of breath. She found the pepper after she poured the soda into a clear cup.

The three girls were arrested on Friday and taken to Volusia Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Garrido-Herrera and the girl who spiked the soda were both charged with poisoning food/water and tampering with consumer products. The girl who distracted the teacher is charged with tampering with consumer products and being a principal to poisoning food/water.…

Gyulchekhra BobokulovaMOSCOW – Police have arrested a woman after she walked to a Moscow train station carrying a child’s severed head and threatened to blow herself up.

According to reports, Gyulchekhra Bobokulova is a nanny who waited for the parents of a child to leave their home before she murdered the girl, believed to be around 3 or 4-years-old. She then cut off the girl’s head and then set fire to the apartment.

Bobokluva then made her way to Oktyabrskoye Polye metro station, where she pulled the little girl’s head out of a bag and began screaming that she would blow herself up.

“I am a terrorist,” she can be heard screaming in amatuer video that was posted online. “I am your death.”

Bobokluva, who is reportedly from the former Soviet republic of Uzbekistan, was detained by a police officer who said she was not carrying any type of explosives.

Despite shouting “Allahu Akbar” and “I am a terrorist,” authorities are not treating the incident as terror-related — stating that the woman is mentally unstable.…

Jennifer RobinsonTHOMASTON, GA – Jennifer Robinson, a 47-year-old kindergarten teacher, has been arrested after admitting to having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.

Robinson got busted after calling in sick from her job at Upson-Lee South Elementary School, where she has worked as a teacher for 17 years.

Nothing wrong with an impromptu sick day, but Robinson forgot to turn off her classroom computer. A teacher’s aid noticed notifications going off on Robinson’s Facebook page and went to disable them.

That’s when she noticed Robinson was receiving some very inappropriate content from a 14-year-old student of Upson-Lee Middle School. The instructor immediately notified the school principal, who then contacted police.

When police spoke to Robinson, she admitted to the relationship and said it had been going on between July 1 of last year and earlier this week.

The pair allegedly had sex in the teacher’s kindergarten classroom over summer break, in her car near the playground area of the school, at the teacher’s two homes as well as an industrial park.…

Aleisha HarrisCLAYTON COUNTY, GA – A 15-year-old girl and her aunt have been charged after the teen allegedly punished her 4-year-old brother by hitting him multiple times with a leather belt, before holding him in a tub of hot water.

According to reports, the sister of 4-year-old Jamal Dunlap was punishing the boy for urinating on himself. The next day, police responded to the home after receiving a call of a boy having difficulty breathing.

Jamal was rushed to the hospital suffering from second- and third-degree burns over more than 40 percent of his body. He also had brain swelling and had an 80-degree core temperature. Jamal would die 30 minutes later.

Police would later arrest the 15-year-old girl and her aunt, 30-year-old Aleisha Harris, charging them both with murder and first-degree child cruelty charges. They were being held without bond Wednesday in the Clayton County Jail.

Harris’ brother said the only thing his sister is guilty of is trying to to “help a family in need.” He said that Harris was caring for the siblings because their parents dumped them on her and never returned.…

Paul TitchenerBRISBANE, CA – Paul Titchener killed himself by jumping off the Bay Bridge hours after the 62-year-old gave a television interview about his missing wife.

Titchener says his wife, 57-year-old Shelley Titchener, left their home the day before Valentine’s Day after they got into an argument.

He claimed she told him she was going to stay with a friend and left without her car, cell phone, laptop or bipolar disorder medication. Two days later, Titchener reported her missing.

The odd thing about his version of events is that on the day Paul reported her missing, a next-door neighbor says she talked to Shelley in their neighborhood and she was seen shopping at a mall.

Neighbors said they would sometimes hear shouting coming from the couple’s home and that there was tension when Paul moved back in after leaving for some time.

A week later this past Sunday, a fisherman found the torso of a woman floating near the Fremont shoreline, 30 miles from Titchener’s home. On Tuesday, an arm was found in the same area.…

Osborn PlaygroundNEW YORK, NY – All criminal charges have been dropped against five teenage boys accused of gang raping an 18-year-old girl in a Brooklyn park, after the she admitted the sex with the teens was consensual – as was the sex with her father.

For those of you who have not been following this story, the five teens were arrested after she told police that she and her father were confronted by a group of teens in a Brooklyn park. She alleged that the teens used a gun to run her father off before they gang-raped her inside the park.

The boys ended up charged with rape, criminal sex act, sexual abuse and other charges. Their names were released and their pictured plastered all over the news articles.

As you can imagine, the comments on the initial news articles reporting on the incident were filled with people wanting the boys’ heads on a silver platter. But the story took a twist when the teens said the sex was consensual and that when they arrived at the park, the girl was having sex with her own father.…

Eren TobenGERMANY – Eren Toben, 20, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison after he burned his pregnant girlfriend alive because he did not want to be a father.

Last January, someone walking ini some woods outside of Berlin found the charred remains of 19-year-old Maria Peiner, who was 8-months-pregnant.

It didn’t take long before police had Peiner’s boyfriend, Toben, in custody  – along with his long-time friend, 20-year-old Daniel Mueller.

Both men blamed the other for Peiner’s death, but police would eventually determine that both men lured the pregnant teen into the woods after telling her they were going shopping for baby clothes.

Once in the woods, Toben hit the girl with a piece of wood before stabbing her with a bread knife. He then poured gasoline on the still conscious girl, and set her on fire.

“She was still conscious, it could have been 10, 20, 30 seconds – she was still moving,” the judge said at Toben’s sentencing.

The judge accused Toben of hatching the plan to kill his pregnant girlfriend because “he wanted a free, happy life which he had control over.” As for Mueller the judge said he “acted for the sole purpose of taking pleasure in the destruction of another human being’s life.”

Both men were sentenced to 14 years in prison….…

Quasarano familyFENTON TWP, MI – Investigators say that the family of six that died from carbon monoxide poisoning “dropped in their spots” in different parts of the home.

On Friday night, the Quasarano family returned home from family movie night at Faith Baptist Church of Linden to find the high winds had knocked out power to their home.

So Leonard Quasarano ran out to Home Depot to pick up a 10,000 Watt generator that is attached to a 40-pound propane tank. The generator was cranked up after being set up in the home’s walk-out basement.

That night, or possibly the following morning, all six members of the family would die from carbon monoxide poisoning due to a lack of ventilation that caused the gas to build up inside. There were no carbon monoxide detectors in the home.

Their bodies would not be found until Sunday, after concerned family members stopped by the home to check on them. According to Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell, the family didn’t know what hit them and “dropped in their spots” throughout the home.…

Fredrick LochridgeFOUNTAIN, FL – Police have charged 16-year-old Fredrick Lochridge with the murder of his 10-year-old sister.

Isabella Heffernan was reported missing on Sunday morning after her family woke up and discovered she was not inside the home. The 10-year-old was last seen alive when she went to bed at around 10 p.m. the night before.

Police organized a search team that included deputies, K-9 units, and an air unit. At around 4:30 p.m. that afternoon, Heffernan’s dead body was found in a field behind her home. She had been shot to death.

Sheriff McKeithen said they began looking at Heffernan’s teenage brother as a suspect after his father told police he believed his son may have had something to do with her disappearance, and had actually handcuffed the boy earlier in the day.

When interviewed by police, Lochridge told investigators different stories as to how his little sister ended up shot to death behind their home. First he said he shot her with a .22 caliber rifle after mistaking her for a deer.…

Veronica HarrisHOUSTON, TX – Veronica Harris and Christen Rogers have been arrested for dousing a 4-year-old girl in alcohol and lighting her on fire.

The girl was brought to an emergency room last May, suffering from burns to almost 40% of her body. Harris, her aunt and custodial guardian, claimed she had no idea how the girl was burned.

Harris said it had been 24 hours since the little girl was injured but she had been unable to get her medical attention because she didn’t have transportation. She also stated she should have called 911.

Investigators would learn how the girl was injured from the child herself. She told police that her aunt strapped her into a car seat for being bad. She said after she was strapped in, her aunt poured a bottle of alcohol all over her.

While still strapped into her seat and wearing only a diaper, Rodgers held a lighter to her stomach and set her on fire.

Harris told investigators that the alcohol was used to treat the girl’s mosquito bites while Rodgers denies lighting the girl on fire.…

Christie HowellKEMP, TX – A couple have been charged after they allegedly tied a boy’s genitals and waterboarded him after he admitted to inappropriately touching the family dog.

On February 3, officials at the school the victim attends called Child Protective Services to report they suspected the boy was being abused.

According to an affidavit, the boy is described as being under 14-years-old and with special needs. When interviewed by law enforcement, he told them that his mom and her boyfriend had punished him after he had “put his finger inside the family dog’s butt.”

The boy didn’t get caught doing this, mind you; he did it and then told his mother’s boyfriend, 45-year-old Casey Shackleford, what he did because he wanted to “do the right thing.”

In response to this,  Shackleford allegedly grabbed the boy by the hair, pinned him down, and instructed the boy’s mother, 40-year-old Christi Howell, to pour cold water over the boy’s face as he held a towel over it.

After they were done, Shackleford and Howell tied a rope around the boy’s genitals and around his neck. …

Sonserea EvansDAWSONVILLE, GA – Sonserea Evans is in jail after the 43-year-old allegedly spiked her co-worker’s drink with so much meth that the man fell into a four week coma.

The incident happened on December 23, inside a Waffle House where Evans and 37-year-old Brian Mikeals both worked.

On that night, Mikeals got so sick that he was rushed to the hospital where he fell into a four week long coma. Staff were able to determine that the man had overdosed on methamphetamine.

Investigators quickly learned how the meth got into Mikeal after reviewing surveillance footage taken from inside the restaurant. In the video, Evans can be seen taking her coworker’s drink to the bathroom area while he was outside, then returning it without his knowledge.

Evans was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Why Evans would do something like this to her co-worker remains a mystery as she has refused to cooperate with the investigation.

However, in this video, Mikeals’ sister speculates the motive was because her brother spurned Evans’ romantic advances and refused to work with her.…

Eric MastersGRAND RAPIDS, MI — Eric Masters has admitted to repeatedly raping an 18-month-old girl in a Michigan motel room, which he recorded and shared online.

Masters, 29, is already serving a 50-year prison sentence after he was convicted last year of making child porn that he would share online. Investigators found 21 videos and images depicting sexual exploitation of a child.

Some of the child porn video discovered by investigators were of the younger Masters raping the 18-month-old girl three times over an eight-day period in 2012. The videos were taken in a motel room and show Masters raping the girl, who was sometimes tied to a bed. Court records also state that in one video, Masters urinated on the child.

On Monday, Masters pleaded guilty to five felony charges in relation to those sexual assaults, a plea the judge accepted. Masters is facing a minimum of 50 more years in prison when he is sentenced in March.

Masters’ older brother, 32-year-old Timothy Masters, is also in prison serving a 27-year sentence after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.…

wood chipperLEABURG, OR – I rarely post stories with happy endings, but I could not resist telling you all about a man in Oregon who survived being pulled head first into a wood chipper.

We have a slew of wood chipper related deaths reported on this site. Each one of them were horrific and one contained a term made by a medical examiner that I will never forget: total morselization.

But a man trimming trees last Friday beat the odds after he survived being pulled head first into a wood chipper. The man was feeding limbs into the machine when a harness he was wearing became entangled.

Before he was able to untangle himself, he was dragged head first into the wood chipper. However, the lucky son-of-a-bitch was saved from certain death when his leg tripped the safety bar that turned off the machine just as his helmeted head hit the blades.

The unidentified man, described only as being in his 20s, was taken to the hospital to treat a broken leg and a head injury, but he is expected to make a full recovery.…

Heather Michele HallYORK, PA – Heather Hall is one nasty piece of work. The mother of two is in jail after she choked her 11-year-old son on Valentine’s Day when he tried stopping her from putting his baby sister outside in the snow.

According to the charging documents, Hall told her son she no longer wanted his 2-year-old sister and threatened to put her outside in freezing temperatures.

When her son blocked a hallway to stop her, she allegedly grabbed him by the throat until he couldn’t breathe. The boy also told police that when he went to grab a blanket that he and his sister could use in case Hall did put his sister outside, she tackled him.

When police got to the apartment, Officer Michael Jordan looked through a sliding-glass door and saw Hall asleep on the couch, with her daughter pinned between her and the back of the couch.

Jordan was able to wake up Hall who, according to documents, asked, “What the fuck are you doing in my house, Jordan?” She continued to scream at the officer until the father of the toddler, Mark Gibbs, arrived at the apartment.…

Christopher AndrewsFAIRFIELD, CT – Police fatally shot Christopher Andrews Tuesday morning after the 51-year-old lost his damn mind and attacked his family with a baseball bat.

Police were called to the home early Tuesday morning after a young female inside the home called to report a domestic incident.

When police arrived on the scene they were confronted by Andrews, a partner at Manhattan law firm Andrews and Andrews, who was armed with a knife. An officer shot and killed Andrews when he refused to listen to commands.

“We actually came to the home and one of our officers was immediately confronted by an individual who would not comply with any demands to stay where he was,” said Lt. James Perez, Fairfield police. “That individual made a lunge at our officer, our officer in self-defense, fired.”

Inside the home, police would find Andrews’ family members in various rooms suffering from a myriad of beating and stabbing injuries.

According to reports, Andrews first attacked his wife and inflicted severe stab and blunt force wounds to her face.…

Kimberly HammondBELPRE TOWNSHIP, OH — Police arrested 46-year-old Kimberly Hammond after she beat her husband with a baseball bat because he didn’t get her anything for Valentine’s Day.

Police were called to the Hammond’s home on Valentine’s Day and found John Hammond with “scratch marks on his face, sore ribs and a large knot on the back of his head.”

The injuries, according to John, were from his wife attacking him with a mini baseball bat and repeatedly kicking him in the ribs as he was semi-conscious.

When police asked Kimberly for an explanation, she told them she had watched a marathon of The Walking Dead the night before, then drank eight beers that morning.

She became increasingly upset about it being Valentine’s Day and not having received a present from her husband… so she gave him the what-for.

Police arrested Kimberly on charges of felonious assault and domestic violence. She took a Breathalyzer test while at the jail that revealed her blood alcohol content was .221. She was released the next day.…
