High School Baseball Players Charged After Sacrificing Baby Chicks To End Losing Streak

BENBROOK, Texas –Two baseball players at Western Hills High School are being charged with cruelty to livestock animals after being accused of killing baby chickens as part of a superstitious sacrifice.

According to reports, a baby chick was found decapitated in March behind the school’s baseball fields. Another chicken was also found decapitated the following day. Police said superstition about a slump in baseball performance could have played a part.

Western Hills High School baseball coach Bobby McIntire said that “baseball is very superstitious” and that the players possibly got the idea from sports movies. In the movies “Bull Durham” and “Major League,” chicken sacrifices are used to help break players out of slumps.

Benbrook police Sgt. John Van Ness says that the charges are a felony punishable by 180 days to two years in jail and can include a fine up to $10,000. Police say the two students are cooperating in the investigation.

The two players, ages 15 and 16, were kicked off the team for the rest of the season.…

Husband And Wife Charged With Child Sex Abuse, Husband Found Dead

Hershey, NE – The wife of a Sutherland Youth Minister was arrested and charged with cruelty towards a child for her alleged participation in her husbands alleged crimes. Police say Deanna Fischer, Daniel Fisher’s 38-year-old wife, not only had knowledge of her husband’s sexual assaults of children, but reportedly witnessed and photographed them.

Daniel Fischer, 43, was charged with nine counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child on April 1. Fischer bonded out April 4 after posting 10 percent of $500,000.

Investigator Chuck Nichols’ arrest affidavit indicated that there are currently five known victims between the ages of seven and 15. According to Nichols, Fischer would hire the alleged victims to help him irrigate corn in the summers. He would then shower the kids with money, dinners, and gifts. He would somehow find time to be alone with them, either at his residence or in a corn field, and sexually assault them with penile or digital penetration.

Also according to Nichols’ affidavit, Deanna Fischer’s complicity in the assaults was illustrated by interviews with two victims of an alleged May 22, 2010 rape at the Fischer residence.…

Girl, 12, Accused Of Trying To Rob Store With Stolen Handgun

HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police have a 12-year-old girl in juvenile detention after they say she tried to rob a store with a gun she stole from a neighbor.

The girl walked into the Country Lake Market Friday night wearing a bandanna over her face demanded money from employees while brandishing a loaded, 9mm handgun. Even with the disguise, a female employee recognized the girl and was able to wrestle the gun away from her and hold her there until police arrived.

The girl will be charged with attempted armed robbery, a serious felony, and felony firearm. She may also face charges for stealing the weapon from a neighbor whose kids she babysat. She will not be charged as an adult and is currently being held at the Oakland County Children’s Village.

Parents Charged After Disabled Son Found Dead In Cardboard Box

Houston, TX – A couple have been charged after their 11-year-old son, who had cerebral palsy, was found dead inside a cardboard box in the back of a SUV.

Saturday night, police arrived to the home of 41-year-old Tina Madrid and 45-year-old Jeffrey Singer to check on their son, Jonathan Singer, after receiving a call from a concerned uncle. The boy was not there but Madrid assured the police that he was fine and was with his father visiting his grandfather.

Five hours later, Jeffrey Singer arrived at his father’s home and “made a comment to his father that something bad had happened … that his son had been killed,” Pasadena Police Department spokesman Vance Mitchell said. He also admitted that his dead son was currently residing in a cardboard box in the back of the vehicle he arrived in.

When police arrived on the scene, they detected a foul odor coming from inside the box in the back of the SUV “It would suggest that it’s probably been several days since it occurred,” Mitchell said.…

We got a phone call from Harley Tech in regards to the mental capacities of the twin brothers who let their mother turn to soup on the floor, and another from Malq regarding stabbing yourself in the chest.

Teen Keyboardist Stabs Himself To Death During Open Mic Night At Coffee Shop

BEND, Ore. – Here’s a couple crazy stories I figured I’d post this morning while I drank my delicious coffee. In Oregon, a teenager was playing keyboards for a small crowd inside a coffee shop when he pulled out a knife and proceeded to stab himself to death.

Police say that on Thursday, 19-year-old Kipp Rusty Walker, was performing a song he introduced as “Sorry for the Mess“ in front of a crowd of around 15 people at the Strictly Organic Coffee Company. When he was done the crowd began clapping and Walker stood up and began stabbing himself in the chest with knife over and over again.

“It was really unclear at first what was even happening,” coffee shop co-owner, Rhonda Ealy said. “You know it is an open mic and it’s a performance, people at first thought it was some sort of theater.”

Walker was taken to St. Charles Medical Center where he later died from the multiple self-inflicted stab wounds to his chest.

One friend said he expected Walker was going to do something like this.…

Update: Holly Bobo Still Missing, Brother Did Not See Her Dragged Away

PARSONS, Tenn. – When I first reported on Holly Bobo, the 20-year-old girl missing in Tennessee,  it was based on the very first media reports that, as usual, were full of incorrect information. Three days later, and a clearer picture has developed surrounding Bobo’s apparent abduction.

Holly’s brother did not witness her being dragged from the family’s carport as originally reported. He saw her being led towards a wooded area by a man in camaflouge that he assumed was her boyfriend. He only saw him from the back and he had her by the arm or hand, but not in a forceful manner. He did not become alarmed until he found Bobo’s car still in the carport along with some blood. He called his mother, who was not at home, then called 911.

That paints an entirely different picture and answers my initial questions about the brothers involvement and makes a lot more sense. Police also are reporting he has been ruled out as a suspect. But that isn’t the only news about Bobo’s abduction.…

Police: 43-Year-Old Woman Forced Teen Boy Into Sexual Relationship

Orlando, FL — Police say a married 43-year-old mother accused of raping a 13-year-old boy has faced allegations of inappropriate behavior with teen boys in the past.

Lori Szmuc was questioned nine months ago after a woman went to police to complain the woman had groped her son. The teen in that case apparently told police Szmuc touched him on the stomach and groin while he attended a sleepover at her house. Nothing ever became of it because authorities couldn’t prove beyond reasonable doubt that Szmuc broke any laws.

In another instance, polices said Szmuc brought a teenager to a motel and bought him a cell phone to communicate with her. Again, nothing could be proven and no charges were filed. Police say the victim in that case kept changing his story.

The allegations in the present case came to light when a 13-year-old boy told his mother that Szmuc had forced him to have sex with her. The teen also told police that Szmuc demanded that he pretend to be her boyfriend or she wouldn’t allow him to see her daughter.…

Detailed Journal Of Abuse Advocated On ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Leads To Arrest

EVANSVILLE, IN — Police say a girl’s detailed journal entries describing seven months of abuse have led to the arrest of  Charles Popp, 32, on allegations of sexual assault.

According to the probabale cause affadavit, the girl decided to keep the journal after she watched an episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” in which a victim on the show was told to do  the same thing.

“She stated that she did it hoping to one day be able to tell,” said Detective Nathan Schroer.

The teen apparently babysat for Popp’s fiancee. She later told police that she tried to tell both her mother and  Popp’s fiancee about the alleged assaults, but she ‘didn’t think they believed her.’ The fiancee continued to  have her over to baby sit.

Police say the teen approached a detective at the Evansville Police Department Monday and said she had been repeatedly sexually assaulted by a man she used to babysit for. During an interview, the teen stated that the abuse started in December 2009, when she was 14. At that time, she said Popp allegedly tried to fondle her underneath her clothing after she fell asleep on his couch.…

Police: Dad, Husband Of Prosecutor, Chokes Ref At Eighth Grade Basketball Game

MADISON, Ind. — Robert Hensley, 41, is accused of choking a referee at his daughter’s eighth grade AAU basketball game. Hensley, who now faces a battery charge, is the father of a player. His wife, the girl’s mother, is the Switzerland County prosecutor.

Madison County’s eighth-grade girl’s club team squared off in a game against Switzerland County’s team at E.O. Muncie Elementary School Tuesday night.

Police said the incident occurred after a referee made foul calls on two girls playing on the opposing Madison and Switzerland County’s team. Hensley and another parent reportedly left the stands and stepped onto the court to argue the call. When the referee tried to remove the pair from the court, police say Hensley put the referee in a chokehold and said, “Don’t yell at my daughter. Don’t call a foul on my daughter.”

“I went down to one knee and people had me and they were trying to chop his arm, but every time they hit his arm, his grip was getting tighter and tighter,” Coach Michael Cosby said.…

Teen Leads Police On High-Speed Chase After Father Is Bound, Gagged And Murdered

Arlington Heights, Illinois — A family is torn apart after a man was murdered on Thursday morning in a quiet Chicago suburb.

I was waiting for police to officially release the name of the person they were questioning in the case, even though it was pretty evident from the start who it was that fled the home and led the cops on a high speed chase.

19-year-old Matthew Nellessen is being held in connection with the death of his father, 55-year-old George Nellessen. Police were called to the family’s home at 8:45 am. When they arrived they found the slain body of George, who was still duct-taped to a chair and gagged. It was also evident that the man’s throat had been slashed.  Police were told that Matt, the victim’s son, had abruptly fled the home and drove away in a tan Mercury Grand Marquis. Police located the teen about 45 minutes later. When the teen failed to stop, a high-speed chase ensued, leading about 15 squad cars through several Chicago suburbs, including Hoffman Estates, Barrington Hills and Dundee, where the Nellessen’s tire was shot out and he was apprehended.…

Father Charged With Killing Sons, Sending Mom Picture Of Child Hanging

FORT WORTH, Texas — Here’s a real messed up one to think about over the weekend. Cops say a man killed his two young sons, then sent a picture of one of the dead children to their mother.

Police say that on Wednesday, Gabriel Armandariz, 28, began sending his ex-girlfriend disturbing images of her children to her cellphone. One consisted of their two sons, 2-year-old Gatlin and 6-month-old Luke, lying with Armandariz on a bed. Underneath was the message, “We love u goodbye.” She wasn’t sure what to make of the photos, but after she received another that appeared to show Luke hanging, she contacted police.

This triggered a frantic, all-night search for Armandariz and the two boys that ended with the discovery of their dead bodies on Thursday. Police are not releasing how they died or where their bodies were found, but Armandariz has been charged with their murder and is being held on a $1.5 million bond. Armandariz had taken the children a few months back and their mother, identified as Lauren Smith, had been working with an attorney to get her sons back.…

Police: Man Kills Grandma, Eats Waffles

Queens, NY — Rosemarie Little took her grandson in after he found his mother dead at the age of 6 or 7. The vibrant, churchgoing 62-year-old spent the last 20 years of her life caring for him so he never felt that he was alone in this world. And what does she get in return? Suffocation by t-shirt.

Little’s grandson, 26-year-old Christopher Jackson was arrested after the woman’s body was found wrapped in a blanket in the basement of her home Monday evening.

During questioning, Jackson reportedly told investigators that he and his grandmother had been arguing about his marijuana intake. He said he grabbed a t-shirt and stuffed it in the woman’s mouth and secured it with rubber bands in order to keep her quiet. He then bound her wrists together with duct tape. Having worked up quite an appetite, Jackson then smoked three joints and sat down to a hearty breakfast consisting of six waffles.

When Little failed to show up for work Monday morning, an employee at the Manhattan law firm where she was employed called her sister, Denize Brewer.…

Man Mysteriously Catches Fire In Private Viewing Booth At Porn Shop

San Francisco, CA — Not a lot of info on this one, but I’ll give ya what I got. Police say a man was hospitalized Wednesday with severe, life-threatening burns to the front of his body after he somehow caught fire inside a San Francisco porn store.

The man, who police have yet to identify, was apparently in a private viewing booth at the Golden Gate Adult Superstore when he burst into flames. Too easy…way too easy.

SFPD Lt. Troy Dangerfield has reported that a couple of officers were across the street from the porn shop when they saw the screaming man run out the front door of the store “engulfed in flames.” As luck would have it, there were some firefighters less than a block away and the flames were quickly extinguished.

The man was rushed to the St. Francis Memorial Hospital’s Bothin Burn Center, suffering from third-degree burns to nearly 90% of his body.

Investigators said they don’t know how the man caught fire and were searching the booth for flammable materials and/or accelerants.…

Special Ed Teacher Suspended For Making Kids Strip, Inspecting Underwear

Collinsville, IL – No crime here, Demonites, but I’m a sucker for a mystery and our very own John House was kind enough to send this interesting little nugget my way.

An unidentified special education teacher at Webster Elementary School was suspended earlier this week after allegations surfaced that he ordered the third and fourth graders in his class to remove their underwear in the hopes of solving a mystery of the “fecal” variety.

From what I understand, one of the man’s seven students either took a dump or left skid marks on the floor of the classroom late last month. In order to identify the alleged dookie dropper, the teacher had each student remove their underwear in a private bathroom stall while he waited outside. The children were then directed to redress themselves and exit the stall…skivvies in hand. Teach then inspected each and every pair. What, exactly, he was looking for is unclear, but dingleberries come to mind.

The teacher apparently said that he was trying to find out who had shat their pants so the guilty party could be sent to the school nurse.…

Keith Randulich Sentenced To 40 Years For Killing 4-Year-Old Sister

Mokena, Illinois — For those of you who don’t remember Keith Randulich, let me refresh your memory. He’s the teenager who confessed to murdering his 4-year-old sister, Sabrina,  because he thought a relative was abusing her. Makes sense, right? Today he was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the pointless murder.

As Rotten Apple reported back in 2009, the honor student called 911 the night of May 22, and told police he had murdered his step-sister in the basement of their  home.

He did more than just murder her, he straddled her tiny body in the basement of the home and stabbed her 30 times in the throat with a 5 inch steak knife. He then called 911 three times to report the crime and then met police at the front door and told them he wanted to get this over with.

“I just told her I loved her and I took out the knife and she smiled at me,” Randulich said after his arrest. “I really loved my sister.”

The teen had apparently argued with his mother that evening over his request to use some of his high school graduation money to buy a gun to kill the alleged “molester.” Randulich told police it would have been impossible for him to kill the suspected abuser without a gun, so decided to murder Sabrina instead.…

Pennsylvania Man Pleads Guilty To Murder Of Teen, Sex With Corpse

Sheraden, PA — Tushon Brown, the registered sex offender accused of fatally stabbing 14-year-old Lauren Deis last year, will spend the rest of his life in prison under a plea deal reached Thursday. Brown, 35, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and abuse of a corpse in exchange for a sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole.

Deis’ mother, Lisa Deis, cried as she read a statement to Brown during the hearing.  “My daughter was just 14 when you stole her life away,” Lisa Deis said. “You had the nerve to tell detectives lies about my daughter. My daughter’s mistake was to trust you.”

Lisa Deis recounted a letter left by Brown’s daughter at Lauren Deis’ memorial.

“I love you Lauren. We’re so ashamed and embarrassed of our father. But don’t worry, you’re an angel now and he’ll never be able to get out,” Lisa Deis quoted from the letter.

Brown stared straight ahead for most of the hearing.  ”I apologize to the family of Lauren and her friends.…

Transgendered Woman Pleads Guilty To Indecent Exposure, Arson, Possessing Bombs

PAYETTE, Idaho — The transgender woman accused of planting fake bombs around her Payette home and running naked down the street has been found guilty of indecent exposure, arson and unlawful possession of a destructive device.

Catherine Carlson was arrested after a string of crimes in Payette last summer.

Police say she left a propane tank and several pipe bombs around her trailer home before lighting the trailer on fire. Officials say Carlson also drove to a storage unit and set fire to her car before running naked down Highway 95. AAAAIIIIEEEEE!!!  Sorry.

Investigators say that her actions were because of a disagreement with police over her gender. Carlson was reportedly upset police included her former male name on a traffic citation back in 2007.

He will be sentenced in June. Did you catch that Catherine?  I said “he.”…

Man Gets Two Months In Jail For Youtube Prank, Destroying Children’s Souls

RAVENNA, Mich. -- You guys remember Evan Emory? He’s the idiot I posted about in February who found himself in some hot water after posting an edited video of himself performing in front of a class of kids at Beechnau Elementary School on Youtube.

The 21-year-old filmed himself performing some age-appropriate songs for a class of first graders, then performed a sexually explicit song in an empty classroom. The video he posted on Youtube was shots of him singing the sexually explicit song, which included lyrics about sticking his finger in someone’s anus, with shots of the kids from the earlier performance.

I know, he’s not a comedic genius. Besides, it was done better by The Whitest Kids You Know. Anyway, people got super pissed about his stunt and he eventually got charged with one felony count of manufacturing child pornography and was looking at a possible 20 years in prison and having to register as a sex offender. No joke.

Well, he ended up getting two months in jail after pleading guilty to a charge of…get this…unlawful posting of an Internet message with aggravating circumstances. After serving his sentence, he will also serve, two years probation, perform 200 hours of community service, attend mandatory counseling, pay fines and cannot be within 500 feet of children under the age of 17.…

Holly Bobo Missing After Man In Camouflage Seen Dragging Her From House

PARSONS, Tenn. – There’s a frantic search going on in western Tennessee after a 20-year-old nursing student was last seen being dragged into a wooded area by a man wearing camouflage.

Police say they recieved two 911 calls Wednesday morning. One from a neighbor who heard Bobo screaming and the other from her family. Both Bobo’s mother and her 25-year-old brother reportedly watched from a window as the man dragged Bobo from the carport towards a wooded area near the home.

Investigators would not say if family members tried to intervene or if they were suspected in the abduction, but did clarify that this was not a home invasion, that the suspect never made it inside the home.

About 250 volunteers searched the rural area around her home Wednesday, with around 50 people returning today to resume the search. Neighbors and nearby communities have shown up to help in the search, bring food and offer their support to Bobo’s family.

Bobo is a gorgeous, 5-foot-3, 110-pound blonde, last seen wearing a pink shirt and light blue jeans.…
