Memphis, TN — Meet 50-year-old Ruth Shrader – she’s accused of repeatedly having sex with her teenage godson for the past two years, beginning when he was 15.
Shrader, a close friend of the boy’s family, is also an assistant pastor at the family’s former church and elementary school teacher.
The teen reportedly told police the sex was consensual and began when Shrader treated him to a massage. As the relationship progressed, Shrader reportedly showered the teen with gifts, cash and trips in exchange for nookie.
Charged last week with statutory rape by an authority figure, Shrader has since been released on $10,000 bail.
A Memphis City Schools spokesperson said Shrader is a teacher at A.B. Hill Elementary School, but the victim is not a student. Even so, Shrader is on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

DECATUR, IL — Police have arrested a 27-year-old man after police say he purposefully splashed gasoline on a houseguest and then set him on fire.
Phillip L. Green is now facing heinous battery charges after the incident left a 52-year-old man with second- and third-degree burns to 30 percent of his body, including his face, nose, mouth, both arms and left side.
There are three different stories as to what happened that Thursday evening at Green’s home, but everyone agrees that it started with Green and the victim arguing and Green kicking the man out of his house. The man left, but took a red gas can along with him. What happened next depends on who you ask.
Two witnesses told police that Green followed the man outside and threw gasoline on him before pulling out a lighter and setting him on fire.
A third witness said gasoline splashed on the victim as he and Green were struggling over the gas can. When the victim fell to the ground, Green set his ass on fire.…

Dayton, OH — It took six years and three trials, but a second jury has found 31-year-old China Arnold guilty of cooking her 28-day-old infant to death in a microwave oven.
Arnold was accused of cooking Paris Talley in a microwave back in 2005. At the time of the incident, Arnold lived with her children and her boyfriend, Terrell Talley. Prosecutors said that Arnold placed Paris into the microwave after arguing with Talley over the baby’s paternity. Medical experts testified that Paris was probably in the microwave for more than two minutes. “She died because she was overheated,” said Dr. Marcella Fierro, retired chief medical examiner for Virginia. “She was cooked.”
Her first trial ended three years later in 2008 after a judge declared a mistrial when a 5-year-old boy came forward after the defense had rested their case. The boy stated he had seen another child place the infant in the microwave. It would later be determined the boy wasn’t even at the housing complex that day.
Her second trial ended later that year, a jury finding her guilty but unable to determine if she should get life or death.…

Omaha, NE. – Officers requested that an unnamed man be taken in for psychiatric evaluation after he assaulted several customers and then stripped naked at an Nebrasksa grocery store Tuesday.
Police were called to the J-N-J Grocery Store at around 12:30 p.m. for a disturbance. Witnesses reportedly said the man assaulted several people before removing his clothes. He then, reportedly, rolled around on the floor, began screaming at customers, and started singing.
According to police reports, the man later told officers he used ‘wet’ – marijuana dipped in PCP-laced embalming fluid. Bryan Beckman, a drug recognition expert with the Iowa State Patrol, said the man displayed symptoms associated with wet.
“They’ll get the body temperature up, they’ll get the pulse rates up, blood pressures up, and the person will get so hot or whatever and they might feel they need to take that off,” said Beckman.
The wife of the man at JNJ Grocery, however, said he suffers from medical problems and was having a seizure Tuesday afternoon. The man has not been charged and has been taken in for a medical evaluation.…

DAYTON, Ohio – The mother of an eighth-grader at Dayton View Academy says her daughter is being punished after telling on two fellow classmates who had sex on a school bus.
The incident reportedly occurred during a spring break trip while eight chaperons were pre-occupied at the front of the bus watching a movie. The girl is in trouble because she did not tell one of these chaperons about the two other students, deciding to tell her mother when she got home.
Because of that decision, she learned a lesson about good deeds at an early age and will be disciplined by the school. Part of her punishment includes not being able to attend the school picnic or the prom her mother had already purchased a dress for. Do they really have proms in eight-grade?
Anyway, the school defends its decision and released the following statement: “The authorities have completed their investigation, and the school has taken appropriate actions inline with our school policies concerning such matters.”
What that means is that this school’s administration, like many others, no longer looks at incidents individually and tries to handle them with common sense while taking into account the people involved and the surrounding circumstances.…

BOYNTON BEACH, FL – A jury has found 26-year-old Dalia Dippolito guilty of hiring a hit man to kill her husband back in 2009, rejecting her defense that she and her husband planned the murder-for-hire plot so they could get on reality TV.
At face value that sounds like one of the dumbest defense strategies ever concocted, but in all honesty, she really didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of beating the charges — so I guess it was better than nothing.
You may remember Dippolito from a few years back when we first reported on her. She gained some national attention when she was not only caught on video telling the “hit man” that when she sets her mind to something, she gets it done, but also caught on video arriving at the mock crime scene and putting on a pretty humorous performance.
Police had set up roadblocks and crime scene tape outside of the town house she shared with her husband, Michael Dippolito. When she arrived on the scene officers informed her that her husband had been murdered.…

Niles, MI - Five high school students were arrested Thursday for allegedly forcing a 17 year-old girl into sexual activity to keep a video of her having sex with one of them from appearing on facebook. Each of them is facing multiple charges stemming from the incident, the most serious of which is criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, which carries a maximum sentence of life. The video shows sexual relations between the girl and 18 year-old Martise Washington and was apparently filmed, without her knowledge, by Trey Nichols, also 18. Washington, along with Leon Murphy (pictured) and Parnell Martin, both 18, and Martell Miller (17, considered an adult in Michigan) then allegedly used the video to blackmail the girl into performing sexual favors. Tenerife, Spain – I don’t normally post stories from other countries, mainly because I barely have enough time to cover the messed up stuff going on in my own. But this one is just too crazy not to talk about.
While the shopping district of Arona was hosting tourists and shoppers, a 28-year-old Bulgarian man walked into a supermarket with a machete and launched an attack on a 62-year-old British woman inside the store. Without saying a word, he stabbed her and then he decapitated her.
He then walked outside with her bloody, severed head in his hands and threw it on the pavement before being subdued by security guards. Police say the man may be homeless and has a history of mental illness, having recently been released from the hospital in February after received treatment for violent behavior. He did not know the woman he attacked, she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
People who witnessed the attack had to treated for shock, and from some of the stories they are telling, it’s perfectly understandable.…

UNION COUNTY, Fla. – Police have arrested 25-year-old Mark Tucker and 26-year-old Kathy Tucker, charging them with child neglect after their two girls, ages 3 and 4, were found wandering alone in the woods while they went to a methadone clinic.
A woman who rides a transport van with the Tuckers to a methadone clinic asked about their three children. The Tuckers informed her that their 5-year-old was in school, but that they had left their two girls in the tent where the family had been living. The tent was located in some woods behind a mobile home where the childrens’ grandparents lived.
They added the girls were being protected by the family dog.
When the Tuckers did not get back on the van to return home, stating they would return later as they were going to sell some plasma, the woman asked the van driver to drop her off where the Tuckers where living. There she found the two girls wandering the woods alone in their pajamas, dirty and hungry.…

Huntingdon, PA — This fella here is Jeremiah Shoop. Aside from having one of the most Looney Tunes mugshots I’ve ever seen, Shoop was also involved in an incident which resulted in a shootout, sending one man to the hospital and three to jail. The shooting apparently involved the use of ‘bath salts,’ which if you didn’t know is actually this.
The incident reportedly occurred in the basement apartment where 23 year-old William Ledford Jr. lives. Ledford was there with two other men, 18 year-old Joshua Lemin and 24 year-old Dustin Scott. It was with the arrival of a fourth man, 31 year-old Jeremiah Shoop, that the sh!t hit the fan. It has been reported that the three were high on bath salts or that Shoop had come to steal their bath salts, or both. What the three men did next makes it very easy to believe they were on something.
Shoop, who had allegedly been making threatening phone calls to Ledford in the days prior, knocked on the door and called Ledford out.…

Portland, OR — Gene David Fosdick Jr. pleaded no contest to a charge of animal neglect and was slapped with a drug evaluation and a pet care class, specially designed for him by the Oregon Humane Society, after being caught doing some rather odd things to his beloved Peanut.
A maintenance worker at Fosdick’s apartment complex, in a effort to track down a missing roll of paper towels (this economy, I’m telling you…), checked the surveillance tapes for the common area in which he had left them. He discovered the suspect rinsing his dog off in a sink, drying it with paper towels, then slapping, scratching, shaking and ‘excessively rubbing‘ the pup’s Chalupa.
Aside from claiming he was high on cocaine at the time, Fosdick also claimed his dog had fleas, and he was only trying remedy the situation. Fosdick says he loves his dog and would never intentionally hurt it. Deputy D.A. Nicole Jergovic said that his behavior didn’t seem to be overly concerning and was likely caused more by his coke use than anything else.…

Pascagoula, MS — Herman Broadus was arrested on two counts of indecent exposure Tuesday after police say he waved at two young girls while standing in his doorway all nekkid and stuff.
The two girls, ages 8 and 10, told police they were walking by Broadus’ house and saw him standing there in all his nekkid glory. The girls told police Broadus was holding something in one hand and waving at them with the other.
When questioned, the 70-year-old man told police he totally forgot he was butt-nekkid. See, he was heading for the shower and apparently got caught up in something he saw on the television screen. The fact that he was in his birthday suit didn’t cross his mind when he stepped outside to wave hello to the young sisters.
“He said, ‘That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it,’” said Sheriff Mike Byrd.
As of Wednesday morning, Broadus was still behind bars. If convicted on the indecent exposure charges, he’s looking at up to one year in prison and a $1,000 fine.…

Fort Worth, TX — George Bradley, 32, is facing numerous charges after police say he set fire to his mother, then headed to a nearby charter school and attempted to sexually assault a teacher at knifepoint.
Bradley’s Monday apparently went a little something like this….
For reasons known only to him at this point, Bradley reportedly poured a flammable liquid on his 68-year-old mother and flicked his Bic. Screaming and in flames, the woman managed to escape the apartment to the safety of a neighbor’s home. Police say the woman is now listed in critical condition at a Lubbock hospital, suffering third-degree burns to much of her upper body.
A short time later, Bradley entered the main office at Rise Academy, announced that he had just killed his mother and asked the secretary to call 911. School administrator Audrey Saldivar said Bradley then grew agitated, locked the office door, pulled out a knife and forced a teacher into Superintendent Richard Baumgartner’s office.
“It was just random,” Saldivar said. “We didn’t know what was happening.”
In the meantime, Baumgartner had been informed of the situation and had just reached the office at the same time Bradley was locking the door.…

Opelousas, LA - Before today, if someone had said ‘Opelousas’ to me, it’s likely I would’ve punched them in the face thinking they were trying to confuse my brain into exploding itself. As it turns out, though, Opelousas is a place. I still have no idea how to wrap my tongue around that mess of letters, but I’m not too worried about it since I doubt I’ll ever visit there, and I have two more reasons why to add to ‘it has a stupid name.’
The first is Paul Rumback and his friend Ricky Lavergne. Rumback, 39, was arrested earlier in the month on charges he molested a 3 year-old girl. The girl’s relationship to Rumback was described as ‘step-grandchild.’ When police caught wind of this, Rumback’s home was searched and he was arrested, and is currently being held without bail for aggravated incest.
According to police, Rumback apparently has an “obsession” with child pornography and spends much of his free time viewing it online. In his home, police found and seized two computers, several DVD’s and VHS tapes (who the hell still has a VCR?), and several boxes of pornographic material.…

Conway, N.H – You remember Krista Dittmeyer, the lovely, inconspicuous-looking young woman whose infant daughter was found in her abandoned car a mere quarter-mile from the retention pond where her body was found. Well, as it turns out, looks can be deceiving. Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of this budding young drug dealer in what has become a tragedy-turned-cautionary tale.
Michael Petelis, 28, referred to himself as her “protector” while her baby daddy served his 18-month sentence for cocaine trafficking. But, as often happens in the drug world, Petelis had only gotten close to her to gain access to her goods (and, no, we don’t know what those goods were at this point, but I’m guessing it wasn’t weed).
What happened next was textbook in terms of robbing a drug dealer. Dittmeyer was called to Petelis’ house and, before she could even get inside, Anthony Papile, 28, came out of nowhere and cracked her in the head with a rubber bat. The two men then bound her with duct tape, stuffed her in the trunk of her own car and, well, you know what happened from there. Authorities aren’t saying whether or not she was still alive when she was submerged. Let’s hope not. Trevor Ferguson, 23, then drove Papile home in exchange for drugs and cash.…

Waupaca, WI - Delton Gorges, 71, was convicted of child molestation recently and sentenced to seven years in prison. Gorges, who had worked as a school bus driver for 33 years, admitted to police he had sexually assaulted students over a period of more than 20 years.
However, the charges he pled no contest to stemmed from the sexual assault of four boys from 2006 to 2010. Gorges was caught after the mother of one of the boys contacted police to report the abuse. While sentencing Gorges, Wisconsin Judge Philip Kirk expressed some of his thoughts on Gorges declaring in court documents that he was heterosexual.
“I was looking through one of the reports. It described you – your self-description – as a heterosexual. That’s about the only piece of information in these three reports that I would correct as, in my opinion, patently incorrect. I think you were born gayer than a sweet smelling jock strap.”
Kirk went on to say “I think that if anyone believes that in the last 10 years or 15 years all of a sudden you developed an interest in homosexuality and young boys, then I must have looked ravishing in my prom dress this year.”
Kirk then said that he believed the 71-year-old defendant, who is married to a woman, had turned out as he had because of the problems he must have faced coming to terms with his sexual preferences in the 1940s and 1950s.…

Pompano Beach, FL - Maribel Gomez, 35, was arrested on Monday morning for showing her breasts to children who were waiting for a school bus.
According to a Broward Sheriff’s Office probable cause affidavit, a deputy answered a call about 8:15 a.m. on Monday regarding a woman undressing in front of school children waiting for a bus in the city.
According to the document, a 10-year-old witness told the deputy he saw Gomez “with her breasts fully exposed,” and heard her ask, “Are you ready?”
Gomez was arrested at the scene, initially charged with lewd and lascivious exhibition. At her court appearance on Tuesday, however, Judge John “Jay” Hurley downgraded the charge against Gomez. ”We’ve agreed that your alleged behavior does not fit into that statute,” he said. “We agreed that if anything, it’s disorderly conduct.”
Hurley revoked Gomez’s bond because of a arrest in April on cocaine possession. Hurley also ordered that Gomez undergo a mental health evaluation.

San Diego, CA – A teenager was shot to death after responding to a fake ad posted on Craigslist.
When 18-year-old Garrett Berki and his girlfriend arrived at a location to purchase an item they saw for sale on Craigslist, they found out that the three 17-year-old black males they met weren’t selling anything at all. They had lured Berki to the location to rob him and his girlfriend of their cash and cell phones before jumping in a car and taking off.
Maybe he was just too pissed to think clearly, or maybe his ego clouded his judgement, but for whatever reason Berki made a fatal mistake when he began following the robbers in order to get their license plate number. When Berki followed the teens into a cul-de-sac, he was fired upon after the their car passed each other. Berki was struck and would later die at the hospital.
After shooting Berki, the three teens fled on foot after they crashed their car, but were apprehended shortly after with the help of air and canine units.…

LOUISVILLE, KY – A group of students on a field trip found a dead body in a ditch near Liberty High School Wednesday afternoon. The body was later identified as 14-year-old Terrence “Trey” Zwicker and now police are trying to find out who killed him.
A cause of death has not been revealed, but his death has been classified as a homicide. How long he had been laying there is not known at this point, but police said they do not believe he’d been there long. The teen lived nearby with his mother and stepfather, but also spent time with his dad who last talked to his son Sunday evening. They discussed his job at McDonald’s and his plans for the summer.
Other than that, there isn’t much info on this kid’s death. Some reports state he was not in school on Tuesday and a missing person’s report was never filed by the family. I read about ten different articles on this, and almost all of them involved a guy named Christopher 2X, a “community leader” who seems to be speaking for the family for some reason.…

Roswell, NM – Two teens in New Mexico are learning valuable lessons today. A 15-year-old girl is learning that she shouldn’t share naked pictures of herself if she doesn’t want the pictures to find their way online, and her 14-year-old boyfriend is learning how our legal process works after he shared her nude photo online after she refused to have sex with him.
Police say the boy, a freshman at Goddard High School, badgered his girlfriend into sending him a naked picture of herself, which she finally did because teens can be pretty stupid. He then told her that if she did not have sex with him he would post the image on Facebook. Classy. She refused the offer and the boy followed through with his threat, posting the picture on a Facebook page.
Facebook took down the image, but the dumbass wouldn’t leave well enough alone, and posted the image on a second Facebook page. That’s when police got involved and cock-blocked the hell out of him when they arrested his ass and charged him with harassment, intimidation and several other charges.…
