Heather Rising's toddler was home when the meth lab exploded

Quote:
A 3-year-old child was in a Newberry home Sunday night during a fatal meth lab explosion.
Newberry County deputies said that the child was not injured. The toddler's mother, 28-year-old Heather Lynn Rising, of Gray Court, took the child to a family member's home after the explosion, according to deputies.
Rising was the girlfriend of 34-year-old Reggie Braswell, who was killed in the explosion.
Newberry County Deputy Coroner Lewis Lee said that Braswell died as a result of a blow to the head and upper torso that resulted from an explosion of the methamphetamine lab.
The lab was set up in a home on Bush River Road in Newberry.
Deputies said that Rising participated in making the meth, and exposed her child to great danger that comes from the toxic chemicals and fire and explosion danger that comes from such an operation.
Rising ran to a nearby residence for help when the explosion occurred.
She was arrested Tuesday. She is charged with manufacturing meth, misprision of a felon, conspiracy, and manufacturing meth in the presence of a minor child.
Despite objections from law enforcement officers, Rising was released on bond.
Kevin Chase Franklin, 29, of Little Mountain, was also arrested in connection with the meth operation. He is charged with misprision of a felon and conspiracy. Franklin was released on a personal appearance bond.
Franklin was also present when the explosion occurred. He suffered minor injuries from the explosion and fled the scene with a third person who was there when the lab exploded, police said.
Police said that they are looking for that third person. They have identified the person and expect to have him in custody soon.
