HOUSTON -- Houston police say one woman and two children were found dead in southwest Houston.
A mother and her two young daughters were found strangled with telephone cords around their necks in a Terrace Apartments unit on Turtlewood near Bellaire, a stepbrother of the victim said. The victims' hands were bound and a lot of blood was found, indicating there was a struggle.
The mother, a daycare worker, had been dating a convict who was recently released from prison after serving 10 years, the stepbrother said. He has not been seen.
Police said they aren't releasing any information yet. The identities of the victims are being withheld pending their family's notifications.
Why don't people ever learn? I'm beginning to think that every single parent or person getting married/dating/shacked up should be required to spend a month reading here just to get some brains scared into them.

Homicide investigators were called to the apartment complex at 10555 Turtlewood Drive in southwest Houston around 6pm.
Inside they found Triska Rose, 38, and her daughters who were ages 15 and 7. Rose was a daycare worker and had lived in the apartment for several years.
After the family didn't show up to work and school, friends and family asked Houston police to perform what's called a welfare check.
"There didn't appear to be any signs of foul play, no forced entry into the apartment, no blood outside the apartment," said Sgt. Colin Howard with HPD. "So there was not much an officer could do at that point."
It was likely the family was already dead inside. Family members broke through the door later in the day and found the victims. Their hands were bound with chords. Police believe they may have been strangled.
Lord-Christ what on earth was this women thinking?? She invited death into her home...killing her and her young girls...*shakes head*..I just don't understand the stupidity of some people.

HOUSTON -- The bodies of a mother and her two daughters were found in a southwest Houston condominium Friday evening and the mother's fiancé is considered a "person of interest" in the case, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Police said the bodies of the woman and her two girls, ages 15 and 7, were found in a unit at the Terrace Condominiums, 10555 Turtlewood Court, shortly after 5 p.m.
All three had their hands bound with wire. There were no signs of a forced entry and nothing was missing.
"She didn't show up for work. The kids didn't go to school," said friend Becky Anthony, who found them. "We were all worried. We knew something wasn't right."
Anthony was horrified at what she discovered when she broke a window to get inside the condo.
"There was a lot of blood around her," she said. "(Someone) wrapped the baby up in a blanket, and the other baby was in the bathroom with her face down and her hands behind her back. I can't believe it."
Family members told KPRC Local 2 that the mother was supposed to get married in December.
Her fiancé, who was living in the condo, was nowhere to be found. Police are calling him a person of interest.
"Just devastated, devastated," said relative Donald Farley. "He and I spent some time together. He was an ordained minister."
Farley said that in the crowd of people gathered at the condo, his absence was strange.
"We need to see you now. Come on bro," said Farley.
Friends of the two girls said they could not believe they had to say goodbye.
"You just hurt, you can't think nothing," said Jessica Sparkman. "You just think why. Why did this happen?"
Police said they went to the condo Friday morning for a welfare check, but found no signs of foul play. They knocked on the door and when no one answered, they left.
An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death. The victims' names were not released.
A man was charged with capital murder after he confessed to killing his live-in girlfriend and her two daughters Friday after binding them in their southwest Houston condo, police said.
Garland Bernell Harper fled after carrying out the killings, but later returned to the condo in the 10500 block of Turtlewood Drive and turned himself in, said HPD spokesman John Cannon.

I agree. I would thank you, but I'm out of thanks and rep comments at this time.
To women even considering dating an ex-con....he doesn't need to know your address or meet your kids. Meet someplace public if you must meet him at all. I'm certain that many fine people have spent some time in jail for whatever, BUT you do NOT know that he was one of those FINE people. Having spent time in jail or prison is NOT a credibility recommendation nor a personal one. The mere fact that they have "found religion" may mean nothing. I used to work in prison and nearly EVERYONE finds religion when they get there.
If they need a place to stay when they get out do NOT make it your place. If they cannot find a job and a place to stay, this is not your problem. If they REALLY care, they will abide by the above. Do NOT let them make you feel guilty. Many are practiced experts at the guilt trips designed to get them what they want. Most are writing to several potential suckers before they get out. Sorry, but true.
Protect yourself and yours first....
