Army wife's e-mails to husband lead to sex charges
PITTSBURGH—A soldier who told police that his 19-year-old wife had admitted having sex with a 14-year-old boy, leading to criminal charges against her, now regrets his action and said he doesn't want to see her prosecuted.
"Life goes on. Everybody makes mistakes," said Army Pfc. Tucker Moore, who arrived home to Grove City on Wednesday night from South Korea, where he was stationed.
But authorities say the case against Ashley Moore will go forward.
Tucker Moore is "not the victim, as a practical matter, even if he is the maligned husband," said Mercer County District Attorney Robert Kochems.
"Having sex with a 14-year-old when you are four or more years older is a crime in Pennsylvania," he said.
Moore contacted police in Grove City, about 50 miles north of Pittsburgh, in May. He forwarded two e-mails from his wife which "basically state" she was sorry for sleeping with a 14-year-old, according to a police affidavit.
Police said she also admitted the affair when they interviewed her. The boy told police they dated two to three months.
She was ordered Wednesday to stand trial on charges of statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and corruption of minors.
Tucker Moore said in a telephone interview that he was upset when he contacted police three months ago.
Now, he said, "I'm upset that it got so blown out of my private life."

Are we sure she isn't 14??? She looks so young....ha. But anyways, is that the English being taught today because it seems like every single myspace I visit via DreaminDemon is gibberish I can't understand. Seeing as how she is a year younger than me i must have missed the LD English talk like a perp course....hmmm
