13 year old Cori Baker has been missing since November 9, 2007. Cori Baker was presumed dead and her sister’s 19-year-old boyfriend, Marquis Bullock, has been charged with her murder.
Remains were just recently discovered in a wooded, rocky area of Creek County. The Medical Examiner has confirmed that the remains found were that of 13 year old Cori Baker.
A skull and other remains were found Friday evening in the wooded terrain near the playing fields at Paintball Adventure Games Inc. The business is north of the Creek Turnpike near South 49th West Avenue.
Police are investigating reports that Bullock had been to the paintball facility shortly before Cori’s death.
Dental records were used to confirm that the remains were Cori’s, Medical Examiner’s Office spokesman Randy Saffell said.
Cori’s family members — who have searched extensively for the girl — were notified Monday that the remains were Cori’s, Saffell said.
Creek County Sheriff’s Capt. Mike O’Keefe said more remains as well as clothing were found during the search. The remains were scattered over a wide area.
Details about the clothing were not released, and investigators were trying to determine whether they were related to the case.

Another murder in my neck of the woods. This guy told several different stories about where he was and what happened that day, ranging from he didn't pick her up at all, to he did pick her up and she fell into the river:
Bullock lived with the Baker family for a period in 2006 (I think...hard to tell exactly when he lived with them according to the article) because he didn't have a place to stay. During that time, he was dating Courtney Baker...Cori's older sister.
Another sister, Casey Baker who the article states was 15 or 16 at the time, testified yesterday that Bullock had left her an explicit note and texted her many times telling her that he wanted to "hang out" with her.
I can't tell it better than the article does, so here's a cut and paste:
Quote:
Casey Baker testified that in 2006, she got a note from Bullock in which he indicated that "he wanted to get with me."
One part of that note — displayed to jurors by a prosecutor — stated that "I have dreams about f------ you."
"I didn't know what to do," Casey Baker said.
She said she did not immediately tell her father or any adult.
Casey Baker, who indicated that she was then 15 or 16, testified that she later discovered that small parts of the window blinds in her bedroom had been "snapped off."
"I ran outside to see if you could see inside, and you could," she said.
She also discovered that holes had been drilled into the wall to allow someone to see into her bedroom.
She testified that she told her father about the note that Bullock had previously had sent her, and "my dad kicked him out."
Danny Baker said he was screaming when he confronted Bullock and that "I told him I wanted him out of the house."
When questioned by defense lawyer Kathy Fry, Danny Baker said he did not see who snapped the blinds or made the holes.
Casey Baker testified that in 2007, Bullock told her that he was "sorry for that stuff I did to you in Sapulpa."
I hope he fries...I'm glad he didn't get away with it(so far) b/c he sounds like a real winner. I am willing to bet he would have just gotten more sick if he hadn't been caught.

After 4 1/2 hours of deliberation last night, jurors found Bullock guilty of the first degree murder of Cori Baker. The jury recommended a sentence of life without the possibility of parole.
Danny Baker spoke emotionally and began to tear up as he talked about how his daughter will never be able to graduate high school, get married or have children.
He said she wrote “I finally made it” on the calendar for the day of her 13th birthday, and he lamented that she never reached her 14th year.
“There are no words to adequately convey the loss our friends, family and community have felt,” he said.
Quote:
In court Monday morning, Bullock’s mother, Linda, gave a statement saying her son is innocent.
“A mother knows her child,” she said.
After the hearing, Linda Bullock said her son “wasn’t given a fair shot.”
ew.
this guy creeps me out. yucky yucky.
I feel so bad for this family bc they obviously let them live in their very home && must feel some sort of guilt not knowing what was happening under their own roof. && no word about the supposingly 19 yr old gf ((ex gf)) huh??
&& now his mamma wants to say she "knows" her son and he didn't do the crime...hm. If she knew him so well, why wasn't he living with her for those few years and with this family instead?? A lot happens in just a few years. One year your son is an honor student, the next he's a creepy con artist and killing baby fetus'.
