Sharmon Evans has a condemned house, neglected foster child
TROY - A Lansingburgh woman is charged with child endangerment after police say she spent years abusing her foster child.
The 11-year-old boy is now in protective custody, but only after what police describe as a disturbing schedule of abuse and neglect that included malnourishment and confinement. They say they have a report that 51-year-old Sharmon Evans kept the child in a tiny upstairs room, kept a calendar for a feeding schedule and even make the boy eat his own filth. The report also says he would sleep on a hard floor, under a bed frame without blankets.
Neighbors say they saw a lot of toys in Evans' yard, but rarely a child and they barely knew anything about her.
Police and Child Protective Services want to hear more from Evans. She didn't say anything as she brought bag after bag from her now condemned house and loaded them into her new car.
Evans is facing charges after family friends and another child in her care told police of rampant physical and mental abuse.
Police say the boy lived with Evans for 10 years. He is now with another foster family and is said to be doing well.
Uh HOME VISITS?!?!?! WTF is up with the DCS?? This kind of shit should not be happening. His case worker should be fired and this bitch foster mother should rot in hell. It would take me about 2 minutes to fire this poor childs caseworker.

I said she because in all my years of work with the CAS I have only had 1 male caseworker. I wonder if it's like that in the US too. I think women just make better bitches when we see an abused child. OR, maybe thats just me. :p

"There's not only another child that showed some courage and brought this to the attention of a caring adult. That adult took the steps to bring the child to the station and ultimately started the ball rolling," Detective Sgt. David Dean said.
There were 2 kids in that sty! The rug smalled like urine, the food was rotten and the kitchen gross.
Those poor babies.

She looks pretty clean and well fed. Even her wig is neatly brushed. If you say her name out loud, it sounds like the toilet paper.
I hope a child is never allowed near her again, but unfortunately, I know how the system works. She's figured out that the checks for the foster kids are easy money if you don't take care of the kids and spend it all on youself.
