Beverly Fears thought she had her daycare problem solved.
Quote:
CINCINNATI -- More than a year after her arrest, a Cincinnati mother has admitted leaving her two children alone and going to work.
Beverly Fears was arrested in March 2007 after prosecutors said she left the children in the family's Avondale apartment and went to work at the Dell Corporation in West Chester.
Before she left for work, prosecutors said, Fears locked her 5-year-old son in a closet and left her 20-month-old son in a portable crib.Neighbors called police after the 5-year-old boy started calling for help and tried to remove a floorboard in the closet.
Neither boy had not eaten in some time, police said, and the toddler had severe diaper rash.
Fears had several court dates canceled or continued over the past 13 months, and attempts at a plea bargain last August failed.
On Monday, Fears pleaded guilty to child endangering and kidnapping.
Fears faces between three and 31 years in prison when she is sentenced in July.
OMG, I can't even tell you how scared my 6-year-old would be to spend the day locked in a closet. I cannot even imagine the look on her face when I came home to let her out. How can these people live with themselves??

I couldn't do that....I just don't have it in me....I don't have it in me. I still have the panics when I leave my son for work with my husband....knowing that my hubby might take a nap from long day at work. My house is childproof.....but my son isn't stupid. He knows how to get out. Until I couldn't do it anymore, I put him in preschool.
