A jury recommended the death penalty (10-2 vote) for dane abdool after he murdered his girlfriend, Amelia Sookdeo 17, by setting her on fire. The Judge ultimately has the final decision, however, she puts alot of weight in the jury's recommendation .
It is rather obvious that this was premeditated as he was caught on video purchasing the tape and gas can while Sookdeo waited in the car.

Wouldn't it be nice of our legal system were amended to let us execute killers in the same way that they excuted their victims? An eye for an eye and such. I think that would truly be justice served.
