COOKEVILLE -- A young mother and her boyfriend were arrested yesterday in the rape of her three-month-old baby boy.
Richard Holman, 24, of Buckthorn Lane, Sparta, is charged with aggravated rape of a child and aggravated child abuse.
Ella Marie Rose Amish, 19, of E. 17th St., Cookeville, is charged with aggravated child neglect or endangerment and aggravated assault by failure to protect the child.
The case has been under investigation since Nov. 15. Early that morning, Holman and Amish called 911 from her E. 17th St. residence and reported that the baby was not breathing.
Medics and police officers answering that call found the baby injured and in distress. He was taken to the hospital here and then transferred to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
Police said doctors at Vanderbilt struggled to save the baby's life. He had a broken leg, injuries to his rectum and internal injuries that have required surgery. He remained in the hospital for several weeks.
Holman is not the biological father of the baby, but had been dating Amish, police said. The baby, referred to in court records as "Baby John Doe," was born Aug. 4 of this year. He is said to be recovering now and has been placed in the custody of his biological father.
Cookeville Police Detective Bobby Anderson investigated the case and yesterday took evidence against Holman and Amish to the Putnam grand jury, which promptly issued indictments listing the following offenses: aggravated rape of a child, aggravated child abuse, aggravated child neglect or endangerment and aggravated assault by failure to protect a child.
The indictments allege that on Nov. 15 Richard Holman raped the baby, inflicting serious injury, and that the mother knowingly neglected her child, intentionally failing or refusing to protect him.
Detective Anderson arrested Holman and Amish. They were booked into the Putnam jail, where bond for each was set at $200,000.
They are to be arraigned in Criminal Court Jan. 26.
Capt. Nathan Honeycutt this morning asked that anyone who might have additional information on this case contact the Cookeville Police Dept. at (931) 526-2125 or Crime Stoppers at (931) 520-7867.
These are the stories that makes me want to go and kick these people's asses! Raping anyone is bad in itself...but to rape a 3 month old baby? That is just plain sickening! Both the mother and this piece of shit boy should seriously rot in prison for life for this! What would make anyone want to rape an innocent 3 month old baby? How sad. I hope the baby gets better soon and that his biological father takes care of him the way a baby needs to be taken care of.

Whenever I see a thread with a title like this one's and note that nurseronda started it, I have to stop and take a deep breath for fear that this is a case in which nurseronda has been personally involved.
I've asked that question myself, and nurseronda spent time on the phone with me when I was doing the FP story on the guy who raped his 8-day-old daughter (do a search for "Reginald Davis," but only if you have an exceptionally strong constitution). It boggles the mind, doesn't it? I have to wonder, though, does it mainly boggle the minds of women? Do stories such as this generally affect men the same way? The insertion of a penis--or any other article that causes tissue and/or organ damage--into any orifice of an infant is not common, but nurseronda can tell you that it happens more often than any of us would like to believe.
I have always been "good" at putting myself in other people's shoes, but I can only believe there is something going on here that is tied to the particular chemical concoction coursing through the typical man's body--I just can't put myself in the position of raping an infant. I can envision what goes into the murder of a partner who has rejected me or the new paramour of someone I believed would be my mate forever. I almost can see how I could injure a crying infant that is the fruit of the loins of my beloved and someone else. But an act that is both violent and results in my sexual satisfaction, perpetrated on the very youngest of my kind, regardless of his or her parentage? No. I don't get it. I guess I'm glad I don't get it. But in a way, I wish I could somehow understand it, at least to the point that I could imagine how it could be avoided.

As much as I hate that horrible excuse for a man, I hate the cum oven even more!!!!!!!
As something most people call a mother she should have been a mother first and above all. There is NO WAY she could not have seen the injuries to this child. Yet they say she "knowingly neglected her child, intentionally failing or refusing to protect him."
I hope they both get seriously hurt in prison and slowly die of that flesh eating infection.

My hubby can't take these stories. He gets nauseated, literally.
The first time I shared one of these (sadly the plural) stories with him, he didn't believe me. We live in a country where that laws of confidentiality are strict, meaning that nearly none of the child abuse/rape/killing cases become public. And that people, that is NOT a good thing, because people like my husband CANNOT BELIEVE these things happen.
I recently read from the country's leading newspaper, that each year in 8 main hospitals in Finland there are 80 children under 1 year of age treated because of serious abuse. We have a population of 5,3 million. NONE of this has been in the media so far. ---Back to the subject, sorry for venting. But you have things a bit better in the US with that matter.
It is sickening how an adult male can and wants to rape an infant. I don't get why a mother, as a woman, would want to go on with a man like that. Even if you don't care for your baby, but seriously - your man fancies an infant?????
Hope that little one has the most loving daddy ever.

My husband is the same way. One of the first stories I saw after coming home from the hospital with our newborn daughter was the one about Reginald Davis. I started to read it to my husband, and he said "No, just stop. That's too evil, and I won't be able to handle it."

I second that.

I don't want to be able to understand it. It's way too evil. I'm afraid if I could understand that, i'd be lost forever. I just want to kill him, and all like him. And I could actually do it very cheerfully!

That is Serendipitys birthday. August 4th. So I can actually look at her (and she is a big girl) and invision this tiny boy and that huge (to him) animal, thing, that did this to him all to well. Sickening. And the mother. Jesus, if i came home and found my child this badly injured and my man standing there like "huh, what?" only 2 of us would leave that house alive, and he wouldn't be one of the two.

On the same note, could you possibly imagine a mother who would so callously ignore her injured babies cries?..

Hell, I want to know how a mother who finds her baby being raped, you know she probably saw it happen, doesn't kill the bastard where he stands.
I swear, on a holy bible, I would kill this bastard. And it wouldn't be quick and clean like either.
My husband cannot stomach to hear these kinds of stories. He tells me, he would get too angry and want to kill the sick fuck. All I have to say to that is,
GET ANGRY. People need to stop hiding behind the cloak of ignorance. There are an awful lot of ugly, sick, depraved baby killers out there and the only way to stop it, is to know the truth about what they do. Then, of course, kill all of them.
Sweet baby "John Doe". There are no words to completely express my remorse for you. I pray that your father is patient and loving in your time to heal. I hope there will be little to no scars left on your tiny body and not a memory left to haunt you.

Is it just me, or is DOUCHEBAG written all over his face?
I see PRISON BITCH written all over his face. These mothers failing to protect their own children is just as puke worthy as the crimes their jackass penises commit. I remember a story someone posted asking for advice about this 2 year old she babysits. The boy's mother had custody and she had a douche bag boyfriend who raped the boy in their bathroom. The idiot sends the boy back with his bio father because he had him for the weekend. The father notices something very wrong. He takes the kid to the hospital and the cops are called. The lady was asking for advice because now she can't change the boy's diaper. He runs and hides when she tries, because he's afraid it will hurt again. Yeah, this story reminds me of that. I want to kill people that do this shit. I really, really, do.

OMG that is so sad. That a 2 year old runs and hides like that when he has to get his diaper changed. I hate these assholes who think that raping is okay...it's so sickening and I totally agree with wanting to kill the mother fuckers who do this. It's disturbing and disgusting.

I know I gave you positive rep. Or at least I thought I did. I hope my eyesight isn't going bad at the ripe old age of 27. If I accidentally gave you negative rep, I'm really sorry.

Yeah I was just about to say the same thing that Nell did. Why the fuck would you get neg rep for saying that raping a baby is wrong!?! Whoever did that is way fucked up in the head if you think that it's okay to rape a baby. Now I am pissed. Sign your bad rep if you are going to give it for stupid reasons!

Okay, I just gave you rep again on this post, and I double checked to make sure I clicked "I approve". Must be a glitch, lol. I refuse to believe it's my eyes!!!
*No seriously guys! I have been giving you rep, but I'm making sure it says I approve. WTF. I'll just quit giving out rep now, since I'm dragging people down. Can't win for losing, lol.

Red is the color for neg rep. I know, I got a ton from Polis and Wynn. LOL! Green is good. I have no idea on the gray-blue colored one. Maybe Lizard or Ruby is hanging around and would know? Cause I am elite so I saw who it came from even though it was unsigned and I want to know if I should thank the person or what?
