Family’s Dog Set Afire; 'It Was A Ball Of Fire With Legs'
Quote:
ATLANTA -- A 1-year-old bulldog is fighting for his life after investigators said someone doused him with an accelerant, causing third-and fourth-degree burns to his face and mouth.
“They extend throughout the dog’s entire left side. At this juncture, we’re trying to see if we can save his left eye,” said a representative for the Atlanta Humane Society.
The dog was found Tuesday by a good Samaritan on McDaniel Street in Atlanta. The Samaritan immediately stopped her car to extinguish the dog using her own coat.
Investigators said “Chato” was let out to use the rest room and approximately 25 minutes later, the dog was seen about a block from his home on fire.
"I think they poured gasoline or put something in his mouth," said the dog's owner Victor Padilla. "I don't know. It's hard to believe. You know people do stuff like that to a dog, it's not human, it's an animal, it's your best friend. Why you do that?"
"It was a ball of fire with legs. That's the way it looked," said a neighbor. "It looked like it had been burnt pretty bad. Plus, you know, with the fright of the dog running adding oxygen to it."
Chato was taken to the Atlanta Humane Society Clinic, where he remains under supervision by the medical staff. He is suffering from third- and fourth-degree burns.
“Chato’s medical bills will cost upwards of $6,500 and we are currently seeking assistance to help pay for his care,” the Humane Society said.
Atlanta Humane Society investigators said they have a few leads, but are actively pursuing information to seek justice for "Chato."

I'll take the dog and reward the awesome Samaritan. Good job, Samaritan!

If I were to come across this scene, or something similar, I would be soooo traumatized. Unable to sleep, eat, you name it.
It's one thing to hurt another human being, but to hurt something that is completely defenseless like an animal or a child and it's a whole 'nother ball-game.
I want ten minutes alone with the scum that did this. I know I'm not the only one.

Hell, I don't need ten minutes alone with this fucktard, unless I'm beating his/her dead body into clouds of blood. I can take care of this matter in seconds.

But making the pain last longer would be such a better form of justice! :D

Sick sick sick! What in the world would possess someone to do this shit?! *looks over at my new doggy* so sickening! People who pick on babies and animals are fucking all out cowards!

There needs to be stiffer punishments for people who do this. Someone who gets sick enjoyment from this will have no problem snuffing out a human life.
I'm going to go give my dog a big hug and hold her close.
I'm not going to hug my dog because he smells like clam chowder right now but I am going to assure him he won't be set on fire today.
Was the dog loose or in a fence? You have to be so careful these days with your dogs!! Seems like people are looking for unattended dogs to fuck with.

I can't believe the cases of animal(or child)abuse, I hear about these days
When I was a teen, a neighbor poisoned our cat. It spent a week in the animal hospital, but had to be put to sleep.
Of course we couldn't PROVE our neighbor did it, but he hated animals and kids. Our cat would wander into his yard, and he couldn't stand it.
Anyway, back then(in the late 60's) they didn't do anything if you abused animals.
