Jason Rodriquez, the man accused of a downtown Orlando shooting rampage, is expected to face a judge Saturday, a day after police said he killed one man and shot five others.
In the hours after witnesses said Rodriquez entered the Gateway Center near Lake Ivanhoe, a portrait emerged of an angry man who scared family members in recent months. His downward spiral ended near lunchtime Friday, when police said he entered the office of his former employee and starting shooting, scattering workers who fled amid the smell of gunpowder.
Rodriquez is charged with murder and in the Orange County Jail awaiting his initial appearance before a judge.

Late Friday, the slain victim was identified as 26-year-old Otis Beckford. Police said Beckford, a father who was going to be married soon, was standing near a receptionists desk in the office of Reynolds, Smith and Hills when Rodriguez entered the office, drew a handgun from under his shirt and began firing. Beckford was hit by at least two bullets.
Four of the five victims are recovering Saturday morning at Orlando Regional Medical Center, and some could be released later.
The hysteria began at about 11:30 a.m. Friday when firefighters were called to Gateway Center at 1000 Legion Place with reports of gunfire.
As Rodriguez was being led to Orange County Jail after a massive manhunt led to his capture, he was asked if he was a disgruntled employee. He replied, "No," but a police arrest report depicted otherwise.

Suspect's Family Recounts Fear
Rodriguez was divorced twice and owed child support to two former wives.
Rodriguez's former mother-in-law, who didn't want to go on camera, said she was sure she would have been the next target.
She said Rodriguez had beaten his former wife, was insanely jealous and refused to visit his 8-year-old son. She said she fled in fear when she saw his picture on TV.
His family and former relatives have tried to get him psychiatric help, they said. They said they're stunned and in great pain over what happened.
Investigators said they're still talking with the other victims. Rodriguez is expected to face more charges.
Police said one thing that should help them as they continue their investigation is the network of surveillance video cameras inside and around the outside of the Gateway Center that should have captured the activities of the gunman going in and coming out.
Rodriguez was kept in a cell by himself overnight Friday, police said
