They go back through your application to see what they missed, so they don't make that mistake again.

Then, if you don't open your mouth and make it through orientation, you eventually are put in a position to make a compromising decision. At that point, when you do open your mouth, you end up having your job threatened if you don't choose to abide by the company's "morals".
