Four more sex crime charges have been filed against former Slidell school janitor Dino Jay Schwertz, 41, after Slidell Police investigators reinterviewed a known victim and found two additional victims.
It was the third time charges were added against Schwertz since he was arrested March 10 accused of raping two 10-year-old boys at W.L. Abney Elementary where he worked as a custodian in the fall of 2007.
Schwertz, formerly of 323 Robin Lane, was booked on four new charges; two counts of aggravated rape and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, Slidell police said Friday. He was previously charged with seven counts of aggravated rape and two counts of child molestation.
Police said the newest rape charges stem from additional interviews with a 12-year-old who had previously been identified as a victim of molestation. The indecent behavior charges resulted from interviews with two previously unknown victims, an 8-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl.
Like the previous accusations, all the incidents allegedly occurred in school bathrooms and all the victims were students at the school.
