A man who lured a St. Paul family with an online Craigslist ad for his baby-sitting services admitted to using the couple's 2-year-old girl to make a porn video while they were away.
Aaron Lemon, 23, of Little Canada, pleaded guilty to a single count of producing child pornography in federal court in Minneapolis.
Lemon admitted he coerced the toddler to engage in sex, and he recorded the incident on a video camera.
In 2007, the FBI was working on an unrelated case in San Francisco and found evidence that the suspect there might have exchanged child pornography with someone in the Twin Cities.
Lemon also was charged with distributing child pornography across state lines. Lemon was forced to hand over a laptop computer and a pocket-sized digital camera when those charges were brought. Police found over 100 pictures of children on the computer, ranging from 6 months to 5 years old.
ICAC continues to investigate because a large number of other images of child pornography were found on Lemon's computer. The task force plans to present the case to the Ramsey County Attorney's Office to consider additional charges.
Panos said he didn't know how many times Lemon baby-sat for the 2-year-old victim or whether he had a history of baby-sitting other children.
Lemon faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison.
This guy is a sick-o! However, I object to the comment about hiring a babysitter off of craigslist. I am a SAHM and am listed with the state of Texas to provide childcare and I offer my services thru craigslist. I also hired my babysitter thru craigslist and she is wonderful. I think parents just need to make sure they do the proper screening before hiring ANYONE regardless of where they find them. You would be surprised how many people I have met with and taken care of their children and they never even asked for 1 reference. It truly is shocking to me.
