What do you believe in and why

I believe that if you need a higher power to keep you on the straight and narrow, you're really not as "good" as you claim to be.
I believe that, as I've seen on the net in a few spots, the Christian Right is neither.
I believe that when I die, it will be like it was before I was alive. Nothing. If I am wrong, I will just hope that any higher power takes me to task on my actions and not my beliefs.

I'm all for the "mind-wiped" take, also. It's not because it brings me comfort, it's the most logical explanation out of so many. There was a time before life when I had no mind to comprehend anything at all. Why cannot it be this way again? Is that such a bad thing, though? I don't feel it to be. Though angels and fluffiness and eternal happiness in Heaven sounds pleasant - I find it hard to grasp on.

I believe in God. To explain why is kind of difficult without going into a very long story. Let's just say it's one of those things I know because I've always felt it. I believe the path to Heaven is through knowledge and understanding not through organized religion. I believe in spirits since I've seen them. I believe in intution because mine is right 98% of the time. I also believe in karma.

I believe that people should not push their religon or lack thereof onto others.

I believe that all people should be treated with respect and dignity (except those who commit cruel acts upon others especiall the weak and defenseless)

I believe anything is possible.
