http://deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,705261761,00.htmlCharges have been filed against a 31-year-old man who allegedly forced a 13-year-old girl he met at a substance abuse center to have sexual relations with him.
Back in June, South Salt Lake resident Vincente Ramirez, 31, met the girl, who was waiting for her mother at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and he struck up a conversation with the girl.
According to charges filed, the girl told police Ramirez entered her room in early July and threatened to hurt her family if she didn't have sex with him. The two had sex on another occasion, again in the girl's home.
Police said the mother became suspicious of what was happening and the daughter admitted the relationship when confronted about it.
Ramirez claimed he thought the girl was 18 and ended the relationship when he found out her real age, police had previously said.
WTF?? Even if he thought she was 18, he used threats. Considering the "striking up a conversation" when they met, I would think it odd that "I'm waiting for my mom" wasn't a tell-tale sign...
