I have often said this. If we (the USA) would legalize pot, and only pot - not coke or anything else - we could pay off the deficit and provide health care for everyone. I swear! Just tax the shit out of it! So, in my opinion, it should be legal. No one has ever died from marijuana abuse and anyone that I have ever met that was stoned did not feel like getting into a brawl. If cigs and alcohol are legal maybe weed should be, too.

Wow, Angel! Thanks for the new chatroom. I like it, at least so far. It seems like it moves a bit slower so it's a little easier to follow.

Thanks sintax, that's exactly how I feel, at this point, it also ridiculous to lock people up for possession of small amounts of weed. We have to pay to keep the offender in our overcrowded prison system, what I'm trying to say is, the prison system would be relieved of a lot of mouths to feed and cloth, and then they can concentrate on the punishment of true criminals (KC) who deserve to be there.

LMOA - sorry I didn't get to hear about the "phone bill" etc,,,you are too funny

Wasn't legalization on the table recently in MA? Wonder what happened with that.

I was thinking of editing that post to add the whole prison system aspect of illegal pot. It is stupid. I cannot stand the fact that we make "criminals" out of otherwise law-abiding, decent, productive (okay, somewhat productive) citizens. Pot smokers do not belong in jail! It is ridiculous!

I don't know. I don't remember hearing. Was that an issue in the last election? A referendum or something?

A law that would decriminalize (not legalize) the possession of under 1 oz. of marijuana has been accepted by the Massachusetts state legislature.

Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana would no longer be a criminal offense under a bill that won the backing of a legislative committee yesterday. The bill, approved by the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Committee on a 6-1 vote, would make possession of a small amount of marijuana a civil offense punishable by a $250 fine.

In cases involving those 18 years old or younger, parents would be notified.

Currently, possession of any marijuana under an ounce as a criminal offense punishable by a $500 fine and up to six months in prison.

Here is the kicker for me...I have a condition called peripheral neuropathy (alot of diabetics and AIDs patients get it in their feet and hands) It is extremely painful. Last year they released a report of test results they did, marijuana relieved the pain in a large majority of the test patients. Of course, this was done in CA, and they have medical marijuana, but unfortunately I live in PA, I've even considered moving to a state where it is legal. It is very frustrating

I think pot pills are anywhere. I guess it's synthetic. Marinol Marinal something like that. Gotta keep them in the freezer.

I have never heard of "pot pills". At least, not around here. That's not saying they aren't here. But, do they get you high? Cuz I would think that they would be "street available". I've never heard of that being abused like ritalin or xanax. I'm not saying I'm "street smart" anymore. So, it's highly possible - no pun intended! *tee hee* Like, is taking taking a pill like smoking a joint?

But, Groovy, I am a firm believer in "medicinal purposes" for pot. Hell, it got me through both of my pregnancies and I quit smoking cigs cuz they would hurt the babies. I now have 19 yr old and 17 yr old sons that are straight A students and both over six foot tall. So, my smoking then made me eat when I didn't want to and calmed my stomach. And, I ended up with smart boys whose growth was not stunted by smoking. I am sorry to those who may read this and be offended. I speak only the truth.

LOL What a sweetheart We can be the new Thelma and Louise

About a year ago my dear dear girlfriend and I went to the "drug" area to try to buy it. You would have peed your pants, we were like two idiots, we had no idea what to do. it was sooo funny, she was walking up to "likely" dealer's - (or so we thought), they looked at her like she was a nut and ran away from her, needless to say we didn't get any, we didn't even know how much it cost, I was sitting in the mini van waving $20.00 bills out the window like a fool.

Don't get me wrong, when I first met my husband, it was like living in Bob Marley's house, clouds of smoke would come out when you opened the front door, that is why Groovy is what his friends call him (he thinks it so a cool name, secretly I am horrified LOL)

Too funny! Thelma and Louise is what I tell my aunt that I am going to do to her when I get sick of her bitching when she is 80 something! She is 10 years older than me and I promised her that we would "go Kevorkian" together like Thelma and Louise! What she doesn't know is that I intend to jump out before we are completely over the cliff!

I hear ya, LOL I'm happy you got a partner, that's cool you are tight with you aunt, I had a partner in crime (my aunt/godmother) who was as nutty as a fruitcake, she's gone now and what I miss most is her quirks, we called her "Auntie Mame" ( after movie w/ Rosilin Russell) - I miss her like hell

Groovy honey, ask your doctor for 'Lidoderm Patches'. They are wonderful for pain like that. Depending on your insurance company, they will probably needs what called a 'Prior Authorzation' but they are the best thing out there for sever pain.

And on the pot note, I completely agree that it should be legal. Hell it's the only thing that got my best friend Marsha thru all her chemo and radiation treatments.

And besides, as long as you don't drive (just like alcohol) who's ever committed a crime while high on pot? It just makes you silly, gives you the mad giggles, munchies and helps you to sleep!

There is a drug called Marinol. That is liquid THC Cancer patients get it. Also it gives you the munchies. I am prescribed it for my condition to make me eat some. I use it to maintain my weight. It gives me a nice buzz too and makes life much more pleasant. I have insurance i pay 7.00 a month but know that 60 pills are over 800 at the pharmacy.

Thanks to all for the medical info, for the past 4 years, ALL I have been given for pain is Neurotin (Gabapentin), l my doctor's say that is ALL I can have because they think my condition was caused by toxins (long story), so they won't give me anything that may cause further damage - it's a pain in the ass but I'm here. That's what infuriates me about KC, she didn't appreciate how beautiful little Caylee's life was,,,how cold heart ed she is!

Angel, by the time I got here tonight, I see you found the tdbs page. I don't know why when I posted the url for tdbs, it came up on thedailybs.com/?p=2133, instead of the right one, which is.....p=2110.I then posted that it was the wrong site on my post 1885, and the right url is on my post 1886. I probably didn't give enough info that you have to scroll halfway down the page to find it, I had only given the name murt and Ted, and the date and time. I also should have given out what topic that it was under, sorry about the mix up on post 1884, but as soon as i clicked on it and saw it was the wrong one, I quickly said that on my next post 1885, then I finally got it right on post 1886. I wish I would have been online earlier when you couldn't find it at first, and saved you the search time.
Yep, your post 1908 is the right one with murt butting in, and Ted's comments back to murt, being in it for the money. Just like you said, that murt was/is only in it for the money and he's exploiting Caylee's "disappearance" for his own personal gain.
I'm glad that you found that post, all the more postings to expose him, hopefully will shut him down.

I love all you pot lovers. Just wanted to say. I am glad and proud to live in a state where it is legal for medicinal purposes.

    Smile Welcome back Orange

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, and having to go through surgery. Everyone was so worried about you, after not hearing from you in so long.
You have my sympathies, as I know what you're going through, and it'll take time for the loss not to be so raw, and as they say, only time can heal the pain.
Thank you for sharing your pain and loss with us.

Hey, who are we profiling this week for our avatars????

I'm, here now. Been sick and dealing with that darn bite. By the way, it got really inflamed. I changed the band aid and put one that the nurse gave me on it and it steadily got worse. I then changed that to two tiny bandages. Well.. guess who's allergic to latex??
So anyway, once I took all bandages off and left it alone, it cleared up. Now the wounds just itch and I can't scratch them. Teddy is still doing fine and in my laundry room crying his little eyes out.
I spoke to my son today and he said Teddy had that booboo when he got here Wednesday before Thanksgiving. He said it was already scabbed over. I've seen the cat that fights him over at the neighbors house and he's fine still so I'm feeling better about that. I was too scared to call Animal Control back to tell them about the fight. I won't breath again totally until a month has passed and Teddy is still fine. Let this be a lesson to get my kitties their shots. Oh and lesson #2 is, don't bring kitty around strange dogs and if I do, don't try to pick kitty up.

Also, Sheana finished her paper on Casey Anthony. It was a psychological profile. It also covered the key players, Cindy and George. All total -18 pages double spaced...LOL. After she gets her grade, I will post it.

When going over the details of Cindy as one of the key players, and reading back what I helped her with, there is no denying that woman is as messed up as her daughter.

We used the event of the tow yard as a tool to lead into each character and their roles as the story unfolded till today. So when speaking of Casey, it was just that her car was abandoned there. When speaking of Cindy it was the knowledge of the decomp in the car and her reaction upon picking Casey up at Tony Lazarro's. As for George it was his discovery of the smell and his dropping the car off at home then headed to work. His interview with FBI over the smell and his needing to vomit as he recollected.

Mark asked when I was reading him Cindy's part why I am mentioning the tow lot again and I said "be patient" and then he realized that with each person, more detail was revealed. He's the master writer around here and I really wanted him to go over it but he has his own papers due and finals this week.
    Fun Fun Fun

    Sunday Evening Geraldo Rivera Show...

This evening in scrolling the channels I saw Jose Baez on Geraldo's Show amongst 2 other people. I believe it was mentioned that Casey Anthony may get 15 years. Baez didn't want to talk very much nor offer anything of his own re this case, and everyone wanted to know if they will both ask for a change of venue and try to push the case to later than January. Jose gave that quirky smile of his and said we would be hearing some news in a week or so. (I want to smack that smile off his face!) He certainly had no more to say today then usual which strikes me as to why in heavens name does anyone want him on their show? Baez is barely news-worthy. He keeps proving how totally useless he really is!

Madmama, it's ugly or biazzar mug shots! And i'm glad the hand is feeling better, I was so worried about you. I was going to call you yesterday, but I have the damn flu! The real flu. I feel like i'm dying. I'm not working today, I feel like i've been run over by a mack truck!

It's 3:30 in the morning and I couldn't sleep so thought i'd crawl out of bed and grab my laptop for a minute.

I got it straightened out..... Thanks.... I am going to post a new post
