Amy Todd took a nap. Kids got into her methadone.

    Why is she fucking SMILING???

WEST UNION -- Deputies say Amy Nichole Todd, 31, left her two and three year old children unattended while she took a nap.

They say Todd told them she woke up to find the children playing with the drug.

The two-year-old still had the liquid in her mouth and seemed to be lethargic.

The child was then taken to the hospital.

The sheriff's department has charged Todd with child neglect causing bodily injury and child neglect creating a risk of injury.

Todd is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.

I'd like to smack that fucking smile right off her face! WTF, take a nap and leave the kids unattended especially with drugs in the house. She doesn't deserve her kids. God bless those 2 kids.

    I take naps....

I think that many moms (or maybe all) will confess to sneaking in a quick nap every now and again. Not while my child was that young, but certainly once my child was 7-8, I would take a nap. It might be on the couch in the living room where she was playing, but I'll admit to it. However, I NEVER left ANYTHING dangerous that my child could get into in the vicinity!!! (Granted, by that age my child knew better than to mess with stuff). But still, you would think you would put harmful things UP and OUT OF REACH of the CHILDREN!!!!

Another example of why you shouldn't do drugs, it clearly fucks up your mind!!!!

Bingo! I'll admit to napping while on the couch a couple of times. No deep sleep, just dozing. But I would make sure there was nothing they could get into that would hurt them and I would be in the same room with them.

WTF? She kept it in her purse? Not up on really high shelf or something?

I once had the flu and while the kids slept, I dozed off on the couch. I awoke to twin 2-yr-olds giggling. There was macaroni and flour from the dining room to the bedrooms. They stayed out of the living room... smart devils. But everything I thought remotely dangerous was always locked up and away (even knife drawer was latched - what a hassle).

I don't trust a toddler I can't see and even then I have to blink at times.

No way can you claim an accident when you are in possession of something so dangerous.

Wow, isn't this the second one in a week? Was this methadone deliciously cherry-flavored too?

Really, anything that could remotely hurt a child should be in a locked cabinet or so high up they could never possibly reach it. Little brats get into damn near everything; I had to stop bringing my swiss army knife to camp because the kids always went through my bag and found it, no matter what I did. One snatched it off my belt loop once. They're like tiny burglars.
