Man loses eye in strip club

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - A Lawton man has been blinded after taking a punch in the eye for the second time in three months, at the same bar.

Sioux City Police say Scott Bennett, 48 was assaulted early Sunday morning at Mavericks, a men's night club in the stockyards area.

Bennett was taken to a hospital, but he lost the eye because of severe injuries.

Officials say Bennett lost his other eye in an assault three months ago at the same bar. Ryan Brodie of Sioux City has been arrested in connection with Sunday's incident. He was initially arrested for public intoxication, but additional charges are likely.
