Therese Batson & William Cook offer Xanax as downpayment for hit

PORT ST. LUCIE — A mother and son are accused of plotting to kill two men for their inheritance and offering anti-anxiety pills as down payment for the hit.


Police say that 44-year-old Therese Batson and William Allen Cook, 23, wanted to hire a hitman to kill Batson's live-in boyfriend and his brother. As a down payment, police say, the man was offered 29 pills of alprazolam - the generic name for Xanax. The hitman was to receive a truck, boat and camper belonging to one of his intended victims after they were killed, police said.


The would-be hitman reported the plot to police Friday.


Police arrested Batson and Cook Friday night. Both are being held in the St. Lucie County jail on two felony counts each of solicitation to commit murder. Cook faces additional charges of possession and delivery of alprazolam.

Which means likely one of these idiots is actually prescribed these meds and likely they are on Medical assistance of some type and they likely paid not a dime for the script to begin with.

These two are a couple of real prize winners. I am so happy that the person they attempted to talk into this was smarter than these two numnuts.
