A man accused of sodomizing and molesting his then-8-year-old daughter was held over Friday on the charges, which carry a life sentence.

Isaias Felix Romero, 33, impregnated his now-wife when she was 13. They married after he pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. The child from the pregnancy is now a 9-year-old in the fourth grade and the alleged victim of Romero. She will be referred to as Jane Doe.

The alleged abuse came to light in mid-August, when the victim’s grandmother alerted authorities.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Diana Freese testified Friday that the grandmother first learned of the alleged molestation through a family friend.

When Freese and Detective Troy Garey conducted a “soft” interview with the girl, she had trouble talking, but said her father had touched her “all over,” Freese said. Because the victim felt more comfortable talking with a woman, Garey stepped out of the room, leaving the girl and Freese to talk.

After breaking down into tears, Jane Doe told Freese her father would come into her room at night and sodomize her as she pretended to be asleep.

In a later CAST interview, which was recorded, Jane Doe first spoke about being physically abused by her parents. She said they’d hit her with a belt and occasionally a sandal when she didn’t do homework or chores perfectly or said something her father didn’t like.

“I’d have to do everything perfectly or I’d get smacked,” she said in the report. The multiple incidents left bruises, she said.

When the CAST interviewer tried to elicit information from Jane Doe, the girl relayed she’d been molested and that the last time had been a month-and-a-half before. She knew because she tracked the days she wasn’t touched on a calendar, the report stated.

The alleged molestation began in April 2008 and lasted through early July 2008.

The report stated that Jane Doe said she told her mother on several occasions about the molestation, but wasn’t believed.

“I said, ‘He came into my bed at night and touched me,’ but she didn’t believe me; she believed him,” she said.

Her mother at one point found what appeared to be semen in the girl’s underwear and confronted her husband about it, but he denied it.

But no then finds semen in her undies and questions hubby and he said no. Well, glad I skipped breakfast today. Another case that not only could have been prevented, but never should have happened in the first place. This guy should have been locked up after the first time he fucked around with a 13 year old girl. How terrible for this little girl. She marked days he didn't abuse her on her calendar? That just makes me feel like weeping. Hopefully she will end up with a family who is able to help her deal with the emotional trauma of this, and may she live a good and happy life, far away from these sick fuckers that have the balls to call themselves parents.

What a *F* nightmare for this young girl...it is so hard for me to imagine repeated assaults on this child by her own father....absolutely horrid.
The mother also so young when her nightmare began and then married to the pedo is really more than an adult could take much less a child. It is clear that on a psychological level she is in a good deal of denial and trauma and useless to help her own daughter...she is clearly damaged goods.

According to the report, when the CAST interviewer asked the girl what she thought should happen regarding her father, she spoke her mind.

“He should be sent back to Mexico because he snuck over here anyway,” she said.

Wonder if "mom" now 22 yo, with three children felt as if she had no choice? She was only 13 when this guy knocked her up, then married her--I'm guessing she has a very limited education and perhaps was convinced by the asshole that she'd be deported too without her children?

Convicted sex offender faces 6 years, deportation

A Mexican national, who will face deportation for a second time after serving an expected six-year sentence, pleaded no contest Monday to allegations he sexually abused his 8-year-old daughter.

Isaias Felix-Romero, 33, pleaded no contest to the sexual abuse of his daughter-- referred to as Jane Doe-- according to Deputy District Attorney Arnold Klein.

Eight years ago Felix-Romero was convicted of unlawful intercourse with a 13-year-old minor, the mother of Jane Doe. Felix-Romero later married Jane Doe's mother.

The alleged sexual abuse occurred between July and August 2008 and were reported by the victim's grandmother.

In early September, Felix-Romero was arrested as part of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid on Sun Valley Floral Farms.

ICE reported Felix-Romero has already been deported from the United States once, and he will be detained and ultimately deported by ICE after his sentence is completed.

”We definitely have flagged this case for follow-up, and a detainer will be lodged against the individual,” said ICE Communications Director Virginia Kice.

Felix-Romero's previous deportation may be reinstated, which would result in expedited removal. Because of Felix-Romero's criminal history and felony reentry, his case is subject to review by the Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Klein said he was pleased the case did not go to trial and that Jane Doe was not required to

ehsIF "mom" knew (and how could NOT-especially when the daughter already tried to tell her of the abuse before) then she sholud be held accountable as well. In some rural mexican towns it would be a disgrace to have an unmarried pregnant daughter. And the sex and pregnancy would be blamed on the girl as the man was strutting around like a rosster... just doing what men are supposed to do.

The mother might not have had a choice but that does not mean she should not have given her daughter a fighting chance at a normal life.

My DH would have the balls of any man who rape our daughter, he would probably keep them in a jar on his work bench.
