    The Innocence Project got punk'd

DALLAS — DNA testing has reaffirmed the guilt of a man convicted in a 1993 Dallas capital murder case.

The Dallas County District Attorney's Office announced Thursday that DNA test results were unfavorable to Henry Jay Bell, who was sentenced to life in prison for the sexual assault and murder of a neighborhood acquaintance.

The district attorney's office says DNA testing on blood found on the knife used in the stabbing conclusively linked Bell to the crime. The Innocence Project, a New York-based legal center specializing in wrongful convictions, paid for the testing costs.

I don't know they so much "got it wrong". On all potential cases they look into where there is new or old possible DNA evidence they will always test that 1st before taking any case on.

You're right. How do they determine whose's DNA will be tested?

This is bound to happen on occasion, unfortunately.

The Innocence Project provides an absolutely invaluable service. Did you know that, in most states, the onus is on the inmate to get DNA tested once he or she has been convicted? Inmates, who aren't likely pulling in any money themselves and may have families completely tapped by defense costs. Of course, that's IF the DNA gets cleared to be tested in the first place.

It's problems like this that make me support a moratorium on execution. We can't possibly have accurate justice under these circumstances.

What these fools fail to understand is this; No one is innocent! If these miscreants were not in prison for this crime or that, they would have been out in society committing other crimes. After I dispose of these lawyers and their ilk, I shall purge the prisons, the homeless shelters, and the faculties of various universities throughout the land.
