    A babysitter accused of felony child abuse pleaded no contest Friday in Douglas County District Court.

    Twenty-five-year-old Mona Walker punched 3-month-old Lauren Wentz twice with her closed fist and then slammed the little girl’s head into a door on March 26th.

    Walker said she was frustrated because the baby wouldn't stop crying.

    Lauren was seriously injured and spent months in the hospital, requiring intensive therapy and her long-term outlook is not promising. "She has zero chance of ever being normal," father Jared Wentz says one doctor told him.

    He and Lauren's mother Emily are still hopeful. The baby has started smiling again and has rolled over a few times.

    Walker will be sentenced November 19th. She could receive from one to 20 years in prison.

    It always seems the worst abuse victims are the tiniest...the most helpless.
    Getting in debt the past several years has been worth every penny so that I do not have to entrust my sweet angels to a potential baby beater or killer...it just freaks me out how all to often this happens.

    If that was my baby she abused, it would take at least two big cops to pull off that babysitter's ass. Then she would take a trip to ER before jail. bah!

    That fucking bitch hope she doesn't have kids or has kids! Bitch step away from children and hands off. I hope they lock your ass up and throw away the key. That baby is so cute. Head injuries are bad and can cause severe physical disabilities but I pray that she will recover so she can have the normal life she is supposed to have.

    Lock this sick bitch up. Look at that picture, what an adorable, sweet little baby. How could anybody raise a hand to someone so tiny and defenseless? Makes me mad. Hell, I'm infuriated and disgusted all at once.

    Oh Jesus. When will people ever learn that hurting a child doesn't stop them from crying? It will only make them cry harder. Have you ever noticed that a lot of these baby-punching assholes are really fat and ugly? Look, monster ass, take your own self-loathing out on someone your own size. Your head is the same size as this beautiful baby's entire body.

    I hope something bigger than you (like, ummm...a water buffalo) punches you over and over until you're in a coma.
