Tampa, Florida - A 21-Year old Tampa man behind bars, accused of beating his 2-year-old daughter and then choking and hitting his wife when she tried to intervene.

Tampa Police say Timothy Gilley was angry when the little girl got into some Q-Tips and powder and made a mess all over the house. He took off the girl's diaper and spanked her bare bottom, leaving bruises and cuts.

Investigators say when Gilley's 16-year-old wife tried to stop the beating, he turned on her, dragging her by the hair to their bedroom. The arrest report says Gilley then grabbed the child and continued the spanking and once again, the teenage mother tried to make Gilley stop.

Detectives say Gilley violently attacked his wife, and tried to strangle her. Gilley faces numerous charges including child abuse, false imprisonment and battery. He is in the Hillsborough County Jail, but is being held with no bond because he was already on probation for various burglary and grand theft charges.

So, he's 5 years older than her, the daughter is 2 and the wife 16. Meaning he most likely knocked her up when she was 13 and he 18. (Oh look, and it's Florida). And he was angry enough to strangle his barely legal wife because she tried to protect the toddler.

I'm so proud of this young lady standing up to an abuser is no easy shit.
I do think she will have a lot playing against her though. So young and probably very or entirely dependent on this POS. People alway say to just get away from the nightmare but it is so not that easy when you are young and have responsibilities like children.

I pray she has some kind of support system family and friends and that she does seek help. She will need all the help she can get to really be done with this bastard...there is always hope.

Poor baby...I'm sure she was terrified.

This very brave young girl will need a LOT of help. However; I am afraid that she probably does not have a lot of family support or she would never have married this prick.
Sad, the Anthony's setting up a fund to "Help find Caylee" (whom we all know, sadly, is dead). And some dumbass will probably donate.

Now, HERE is a cause that I WOULD donate to. To help this girl with childcare, schooling, whatever she needs. I wish that there were a fund to help people like her.

I agree Cricket but I had to at least offer prayer and hope a little.
Sadly I just seen the Myspace and it is scary as heck to see there is NO family from the sound of it She has a aunt in Upstate NY but has been living with a friend the the friends family.

I do have some hope though. I never had support of my family and still do not have it to this day. They tossed me like trash at 15 when I became pregnant with a baby by a black man. That just ruined their lives. <EYE ROLL>
I was stupid and went back to my ex in return for that dumb move I was beaten for 8 hours and left for dead. While I am now disabled and believe me there are times when shit gets tight I am alive and so are my kids. I was able to get help through Battered women shelters and groups in my area.
I am unsure if in fact she will get it as she has not been to her Myspace in months but I sent a message sent a message letting her know how proud we are of her for standing up for her babies
and that i will gladly help point her to a network in her area and that She can do it without him.
All we can do now is hope and pray that she is strong enough to make it.

i so agree about the Anthony's and that scam of a donation thing That money they are scamming though should go to that poor woman who just HAPPENED to have the name that their baby killing child used. That poor woman is living in a hotel with her kids Unable to find work ALL because that ding bat bytch used her name. My 2 yr old daughter gets into all of the above and then some. She only gets told No and she basically stops after a small hissy fit. I see no problem with her getting into this stuff, it's not like she'll die from playing with em.

I betting the cuts were from his wedding band. My hubby's digs into my palm when he holds my hand it leaves cuts, no diamonds or anything on them at all either.

She sure stepped in real well though. These are what mothers are supposed to be doing for their kids. I'd do the same damn thing, except I'd probably get my bat and go to town on his head for even thinking of it.
